The Cosby trial continues to be murky with strange defenses and conflicting details
June 07, 2017
As Bill Cosby's trial continues, the sexual assault allegations have been interpreted a plethora of ways since they first surfaced. Doc Thompson wondered why his trial was not receiving more coverage, considering the star's iconic status. He went over the quirks of the case with Kari Malinak and Kal Elsebai on today's "Pat & Stu"
Kari reported that Cosby said one defense he offered is that cannot face his accuser because he is blind, taking the Confrontation Clause of the Sixth Amendment quite literally.
They all felt he is probably guilty, based on the sheer volume of accusations and the consistent pattern depicted in each case. Doc pointed out that consent is going to be the biggest issue, since they accepted the drugs he gave them. Kari asked how any of the experiences could be consensual when Cosby allegedly gave them drugs that prevented their movement.
Doc said of the drugs the women were offered, ""Did they fully know what they were getting into? Probably not."
