The governor of California is trying to make agreements with the UN on behalf of the US

California Governor Jerry Brown has pledged -- along with former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg, three other governors, 30 mayors, and a slew of other participants -- to uphold the Paris Climate Accord even though President Donald Trump has already withdrawn from the non-binding agreement.

They hope to meet or exceed the 26 percent reduction of greenhouse gas emissions promised by former President Barack Obama. They will submit a plan to the United Nations on behalf of the United States, though it is unclear at this time how this will be accomplished, as the U.N. works only with countries to achieve shared goals.

Chris Salcedo accused Governor Brown of pretending to be the president on today's "Chris Salcedo Show," saying of those involved, "They have pledged to hurt their states' economies in defiance of Donald Trump."
