The percentage of the population needed to 'shift the masses' is surprisingly small
August 15, 2017
Research published by the Social Cognitive Networks Academic Research Center, or SCNARC, shows that only 10 percent of a population needs to hold an unshakable belief for it to end up being adopted by the rest of that society.
This might be why, as Dr. Zhudi Jasser discussed on "Reform This!", cultural icons can "shift the masses" one way or the other socially much faster and further than academicians. The messages of singers, actors, and other well known personalities have larger amplification than studies and books.
This ten percent minority then obtains engagement from the rest of society, turning its beliefs and ideas into those of the majority.
