Stop stressing about which color tie to get your dad for Father’s Day. The best gifts you can give are the simple ones, according to one mindfulness expert.
Author Dr. Jeffrey Rubin joined “The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson” in time to talk about Father’s Day and the best gifts for your dad. While every father is unique, each one has the same need.
“They basically want to be valued, want to be cared about,” Rubin said. The best thing you can do for your dad is tell him why he’s important to you, spend time with him and do something that will reduce the stress in his day, Rubin asserted.
Rubin wrote “The Art of Flourishing: A Guide to Mindfulness, Self-Care, and Love in a Chaotic World,” which he said is a book being your best self and enriching other people's lives in the process.
You can use that same mindfulness to give your dad a great Father’s Day present. Think about what would put a smile on your dad’s face, Rubin advised.
