Trump is in another Twitter fight with this British leader -- and it just escalated

The mayor of London is asking the British government to rescind an invitation for President Donald Trump to visit after Trump appeared to be mocking the mayor over his response to the terrorist attack last weekend.

Three terrorists mowed down pedestrians on London Bridge and then jumped out of the van they were driving to stab people enjoying Borough Market on Saturday night.

In an interview on Sunday, London Mayor Sadiq Khan said, “My message to Londoners and visitors to our great city is to be calm and vigilant today. You will see an increased police presence today, including armed officers and uniformed officers. There is no reason to be alarmed by this.”

Trump responded to the quote with a tweet that read, “At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is ‘no reason to be alarmed!’”

On Tuesday’s “Pat & Stu,” Doc Thompson, Kari Malinak and Kal Elsebai talked about the ongoing Twitter battle between Trump and Khan, who also clashed publicly during the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign.

“Why is Trump engaging, though?” Kari asked. “It drives me bonkers. You have to be the adult at some point, if you’re president.”
