Trump is keeping the 'worst deal of all time

The landmark deal will limit Iran's nuclear program in exchange for relief from international sanctions. Trump is keeping the 'worst deal of all time

President Donald Trump roundly bashed the Barack Obama administration’s nuclear deal with Iran during the 2016 campaign, but he seems to have changed his mind since taking office.

Despite his campaign promises, Trump has no plans to get rid of or re-negotiate the Iran deal. Last week, the Trump administration confirmed that Obama-era policies with Iran remain in place. House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said in February that while the Iran deal was a “huge mistake,” nothing could be done.

“I thought we were [getting rid of it]. I thought it was the worst deal of all time,” Stu Burguiere, co-host of "The Glenn Beck Radio Show," pointed out, mimicking Trump’s rhetoric during the 2016 campaign.

“Wasn’t that a day 1 or at least first 100 days promise?” Pat Gray asked.

Day 1, I’m going to get rid of that deal,” Glenn Beck quoted the president.

Glenn discussed how most of the media ignored the worst of the Iran deal, even as more and more of the story came to light. Obama portrayed the release of Iranian-born prisoners as a “one-time gesture” that freed “civilians,” but he wasn’t giving the full picture.

“Even when they were exchanging literally a pallet of cash, the press didn’t want to hear about anything, back room deals, smoke-filled room deals,” Glenn said. “They didn’t want to hear about any of that. The deal is even worse than we thought. Obama gave even more, than he finally let on.”
