Trump meets with Ukrainian president this week -- should they expect something different this time?

The president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, is set to meet with President Donald Trump in Washington D.C., this week, which precedes Trump's first visit with Russian president Vladimir Putin in July.

There’s much ado about Russia on the mainstream media any time an anonymous source suggests President Donald Trump or his family may have colluded with Russia. But where were these same anchors and reporters when past presidents let Ukraine down to Russia’s advantage?

Chris Salcedo asked this very question on “The Chris Salcedo Show” today. Not only did the 1994 Budapest Memorandum disarm Ukraine, but former President Barack Obama failed to protect them, even though doing so was part of that agreement, when Russia seized Crimea in 2014.

When questioned on this matter by The Atlantic, Obama said, “The fact is that Ukraine, which is a non-NATO country, is going to be vulnerable to military domination by Russia no matter what we do.”
