Will America intervene in North Korea?

Is it up to America to free people who are starving under Kim Jong Un? On “The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson,” Doc Thompson talked about the rising tensions between the U.S. and North Korea and wondered if North Koreans can be liberated without sacrificing American lives.

Dictator Kim Jong Un has been trying to intimidate the U.S. with the threat of nuclear weapons. After the U.S. launched a missile strike against a Syrian air base, North Korea has attempted to take a strong stance against the U.S. and any allies, threatening Australia after U.S. Marines landed in the country over the weekend.

Doc asked if it’s up to America to interfere when a dictator starves his own people and threatens the U.S. On the one hand, Americans are weary of war for good reason, but on the other, a dictator who starves his own people deserves to be taken down.

“I am torn,” Doc said. “I don’t want to see any Americans die or get wounded to take down Kim Jong Un. I don’t want to see that. I’m tired of this. We have been fighting battles for other people for a long time. I don’t want to see any innocent people suffer, but the innocent suffer every day in North Korea.”
