Would you be able to stay with your transgender spouse?

A woman wrote a letter to her husband, published in The Guardian, stating that, though she wanted the best for him, she could no longer stay with him after he informed her he was transitioning into a woman. He couldn't understand why she couldn't support him and be there for him when all of his friends were on board. She is happy that he has found out who he is and that he is happy, but is she wrong for not being able to be part of the equation?

Saturday on "The Lawrence Jones Show," Lawrence Jones compared the letter writer to Kris Jenner and how she was judged by the public for not staying with Caitlyn Jenner after transitioning from being Bruce Jenner. For Lawrence, these former wives are justified in their actions because "it's the fact that [the husbands] lied to the person," though he realized gender identity is complicated and deceit may not necessarily be deliberately chosen.

However, teamwork goes both ways, and it seems as though the transitioning husband gave a lot of thought to his own situation, but very little to his wife's.

"I don't know if I could ever get with the program," Lawrence said.
