Frequently Asked Questions
Why is GBTV not working on my computer? Do I have access to Real News from The Blaze on GBTV?
Real News is available to GBTV plus subscribers. If you have further questions about GBTV, please go to www.gbtv.com . If your questions are not answered on the site, email customerservice@gbtv.com for assistance. The Blaze support email is meant for technical support questions for The Blaze website. We do not have access to GBTV accounts.
Where do I email comments or suggestions about the Real News program on GBTV?
Please direct all comments or suggestions about the show to realnews@gbtv.com . Please do not email with general GBTV questions. We would appreciate your feedback on the show!
Why isn’t my comment showing up?
There are a few reasons why your comment may not show up. The first and most common reason that it may not show up is because in order to serve the massive amount of fans that visit TheBlaze.com, comments on articles are not updated in real-time. It may take up to 5 minutes for your comment to show up on the site (though usually less than that). Please do not re-submit the same comment.
The second reason your comment may not show up is if you post something that your fellow users deem offensive or inappropriate. In these circumstances, if enough people flag the comment, an administrator may choose to delete your comment. TheBlaze.com staff reserves the right to delete and/or moderate comments on the site at their discretion – there is no appeal process and your comment is gone forever.
In the first circumstance, your comment just takes a few minutes to show up on the article, but in the second, your comment was already displayed on the site and action was taken to remove it.
If you have further questions about your comments and/or commenting abilities, please email moderation@theblaze.com
How do I add an avatar to my profile?
There are two ways that you can assign an avatar to your profile that displays when you comment on stories:
Sign up for Gravatar ( http://www.gravatar.com ). Gravatar is a globally recognized avatar that will work lots of other places and thousands of other blogs across the internet. Make sure you use the same email address that you gave us when you signed up for TheBlaze.
If you don’t care about having an avatar that will work across multiple sites on the internet, you can upload your own image (jpg, gif, or png) in the user profile page once you’re logged into TheBlaze ( http://www.theblaze.com/user/?action=profile ). This image will override your gravatar if you have one.
Can I make the font on the site bigger or darker?
We are looking at options for a user to increase the font size for their reading pleasure. In the meantime, you can increase the font size in your browser of all web pages that you view. Instructions on how to do this vary depending on your browser but we hope this resource (http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000779.htm) is a help!
Is there a way to look at my latest comments?
Yes, there is a summary page you can go to that shows your last 10 comments. The link address is www.theblaze.com/users/username/ where “username” is your username. If there are spaces in your username, keep the spaces in. The URL will reformat itself to work. We hope you enjoy this new feature on The Blaze!
How do I unsubscribe from the newsletter?
There are two ways to do this. First, you can click “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any FireWire email you receive from us. Conversely, you can log into your Blaze account and go to your User Profile. Under the “Communication Preferences” section, unclick the checkbox to receive FireWire and make sure to click the red “Update Profile” button at the bottom of the page. You can sign up for the newsletter again at anytime.
I registered for an account and never received my password
Our system generates a random password for all new users and emails it to them. That’s why we request that you use a valid email when you sign up.
First thing to do is to check your spam folder in whatever email client you’re using. Though we’ve taken measures to combat this, there’s a possibility that it got incorrectly marked as spam. To prevent messages from TheBlaze.com from going into your spam folder in the future, add noreply@theblaze.com to your list of allowed senders. If the message isn’t in the spam folder, you can try and use the password reset feature to have a new password sent to you.
If you used a fake email address, the password reset obviously won’t work because it tries to send you another email. In that case, open a support ticket with your registered username & the fake email address you used (if you remember) along with your real email address and we’ll change it for you so you can go through the password reset process.
If you are sure you used your correct email address and still aren’t receiving these emails, please open a help ticket and indicateyour user name and email address and we will reset your password manually for you.
Where do I send story tips to your writers?
Please use the tip form (”Have a Tip?”) at the bottom of TheBlaze.com website to submit tips on stories to our editors. Please reserve emails to support@theblaze.com to technical questions only.

Submitting your tip... please wait!
