‘All Hell is Breaking Loose’: $1.1 Trillion Spending Bill Nears 2,000 Pages

In one of their last acts before Congress adjourns for the year, Senate Democrats are pushing a 1,924-page spending bill that includes massive earmark spending. If passed, the measure would be enacted into law without debate in the full senate.

Senate Appropriations Committee chair Daniel Inouye, D-Hawaii, says the bill must pass. “The twelve bills included in this package fulfill the Congress’ most basic responsibility, to exercise the power of the purse,” he said in a statement. “This measure reflects a year’s worth of work by members of both parties. Together, we have closely scrutinized the president’s budget request, held hundreds of hearings, thousands of meetings, and asked literally tens of thousands of questions to each and every federal department and agency seeking justification for how taxpayer dollars are being spent.”

Meanwhile, Republicans poring over the bill are calling it a “total mess.”

Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, criticized the Democratic majority for failing to pass budget resolutions, and “today we learn Senate Democrats now want to sandwich them together, totaling almost 2,000 pages, and jam them through in the waning moments of this lame duck session before anyone can read them. This political end-around reveals just how quickly my colleagues across the aisle have already forgotten the voters’ message in November,” Cornyn responded.

Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., also weighed in on the debate Tuesday in an appearance on FNC:

Each individual measure has passed through the Appropriations Committee and now awaits senate approval. On Tuesday afternoon, the committee posted a comprehensive list of the thousands of requested earmarks, divided into separate categories.

“All hell is breaking loose,” one GOP source told Fox News, adding that Sens. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma and Jim DeMint of South Carolina will likely insist the omnibus bill be read in its entirety on the Senate floor prior to a vote. The Republican senators are also expected to seek debate on all earmarks and any amendments.

On the Democrats’ side, Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., is pledging to oppose her party’s omnibus spending bill unless includes her amendment — co-authored by Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala. — which calls for a three-year cap on discretionary spending.

Despite opposition on both sides of the aisle, Inouye says he believes the Senate will pass the measure and send it on to the House, where Republican leader John Boehner is warning GOP members “will work to kill it.”

Fox News also points out widespread opposition from conservative interest groups who claim the legislation is Democrats‘ attempt to lock in 2010’s inflated $3.5 budget for another entire year without allowing any cuts in spending.

Some news analysts and Republicans that I once considered truly interested in the deficit are now saying that we need to pas this bill. Makes me think many of them are only interested in the tax breaks for the rich as lefties have charged for years.
I’m for lower taxes across the board but not at the expense of exploding the deficit. Nobody has enough stones to do what has to be done and cut spending. Both parties are a complete joke.

If they think there was a ground swell of grass roots opposition to this kind of stuff before, they have not seen anything yet. I hope the Republicans are well aware this opposition will be directed to them if they fail to understand what happened in November.

Folks, who is going to protect us from the legislation, the regulation and the taxes? As my advisors, Smith and Wesson have told me, “Invest heavily in the three precious medals: gold, silver and lead.” I think it’s going to get seriously ugly before common sense rules America again. The “managers of government business” scare me more than the terrorists do.

This is beyond an outrage. Last year, Obamacare was our intolerable lump of coal. But this year, it‘s liberals who’ve been fired flipping us off before they leave office. That should praise God that they live in a civilized society, less they be publicly hanged by mobs of enraged citizenry concerned for their children’s futures. These people should not only leave office, but be charge with crimes of tyranny, corruption, extortion, & failure to fulfill their oath of upholding the constitution.

Nothing new here, it’s the same group of elites doing what they always do; screw the American Tax Payer and Voter. $300 Billion Dollars in Earmarks and Pork and no set-off to pay for the DEBT. The Democratic and Republican Parties have been in power and in my view directly responcible for our Nations troubles, either/or is responcible for our national debt. If any of them had any pride, after Christmas, they should just walk away from government and we, The People will hold special elections and elect those of us who will make things right, again. The Dems and Repubs, just need to fold up and go away from us, forever.

Don’t talk violence. And I am not directing this at AXXIS 409 but all who do. The republic is over if that ever happens and anyone that advocates such would probably be the 1st they would round up and the survivors made to fear. Learn from history. The History chanel just ran an episode tonight on the rise of the third reich. Please review that and reconsider.

Trust me you don’t want to advocate violence, get caught up in it. Please no more talk of violence. Take that energy and continue to replace those that ignore the mandate to cut spending and replace them with those of integrety and courage that will.

If you are to weak to do that and put up with setbacks then you are too weak to even think of advocating violence in any way shape or form. In turn take that energy to do what’s right and actively discourage those that wish to turn others inside out. And if you can’t do either than pray excuse yourself from the discussion. Promptly. The game is for real.

Debt must be cut. Obamacare must be repealed even if it results in a constant repeating veto. Hold the radical left’s feet to the fire to explain through 2012 their assinine agenda, and then humble yourself and get on your knees every day and pray for more time. There are no other options. Damn any republicans that try to reform the Obamacare monster. Fight to repeal republicans or for those of you that don’t plan on finding a different job after 2012.

This Republic has been lost for 100+ years, just when do you suggest we bring up violence? I’m not an advocate of violence and I think we should never start the violence. If we aren’t willing to talk violence we will not be prepared to restore the Republic. Anybody that thinks these progressive, both R‘s and D’s, will be willing to back down without a fight is kidding themselves. They‘ve become drunk on power because we’ve failed for 100+ years at holding them accountable. Our founding fathers started with civil disobedience. They then declared independence. King George sent soldiers for the colonists arms on April 19, 1775 and thus began the war. If you are not willing lose all you have or die for you country you don’t have a country. You have a place to live in peace, at least until they come for you. When they come, what will you do? Will you be George Washington or will you be Benedict Arnold? What is more important to you, American Idol, Baseball, football or freedom and liberty? Freedom and liberty are not free. For the last 100 years we’ve been living like it were. First they came for the Jews, I was not a Jew so I said nothing, then they came….. How long will you wait before you say something?

Voting did not work people!!! Voting did not work even for Obamas people. They voted for change and they got more of the same. All of the policies that Bush/Clinton/Bush are still enforce. Their is not real breaks here. They throw a bone out every no and again on the dmoestic front but its just frills and thrills stuff. But everything else remains the same.

Its all a big game and we’ve been played yet again.

We are really the hostages here!! The American people by large are still the most trusted and faithful debtors on earth. We are the literal new age GOLD MINE. Yes! They mine our pockets and thus reduce us to slave status. When you work for free for 5-6 months of the year to pay taxes then you are a debt slave and the MASTER is the US government, local and state.

They’ve just made your grandchildren more indebted than ever. This will continue and at some point somebody is going to have too pay this back. Thats when it will get very interesting. Flash forward to 2028. Some 18 year old just entering the mandatory work force to will repay a foreign debtors tax as agreed upon through the international community. Americans I believe will be under rule and authority of the international community to repay our debts or be faced with death. Fantasy?..Maybe! But Bernie Madoffs crime got him multiple life sentences and a real physical crime such as rape against a child well maybe several years. We value money and things and penalties are demanded to be higher. So does the other guy (China). Our children will repay this debt and with interest so their kids and their kids….so on.

You do realize that the new Congress doesn‘t start until January 2011 don’t you? The old batch of Tyrants are still in. This needs to be changed so that the newly elected Tyrants are sworn in immediately and they take control. Not that it will matter. The “Tea Party” people couldn’t even beat Harry Reid in Nevada. Do you really think they are going to be different? Why would they, they have nothing to fear from the American people. People who, for the most part, can’t stop watching American Idol, Professional sports or fake professional wrestling long enough to read the Constitution, Federalist and Anti-Federalist papers.

I used to like what Glenn had to say but if you haven’t figured out by all the books, shows and other garbage he has gotten people to pay their hard earned money for, he doesn’t really care about what happens to you or any other person but himself and his family. He is just trying to amass enough money to survive whatever comes. The only difference between Glenn and George Soros is that Glenn doesn’t start the collapse, he just leaves off of the downfall. He talks so much about the founding fathers but he is more like King George than George Washington. The founding fathers pledged their fortunes to create America, they didn’t try and get rich off of the chaos. George Washington used his fortune to pay the soldiers and for supplies. He didn’t as for a dime in return. Imagine if Thomas Jefferson had written the Declaration of Independence but the only way for citizens to read would be to sign up for “insider extreme” and pay a fee? Glenn’s Hypocrisy knows no bounds.

A 25% cut in government bureaucracy is better, plus in 6 or 7 years we would have the 13.5 trillion paid off

All those 2/28 participants and Tea Party zealots thought their little gatherings and the midterm election actually made a difference. They were wrong. (I intentionally did not phrase that using the pronoun “you” as you die-hard Blazer regulars are too lazy to actually leave the house and attend anything like 8/28 or any actual rally for that matter.) All your loudmouth, threatening internet posts and ultimatums are nothing but feeble whimpers. None of you matter and your hollow words (nor your votes) influence anyone of importance.

The election was meaningless and sent no message to our “representatives”. Only a fool would have thought otherwise. It is time to start over. Keep the Constitution and strip every other law from the records. Gather all of the elected, at every level together, try them, and imprison the guilty among them. Strip them of all of their ill gotten gains and transmit the proceeds to the treasury. We are at a crossroads, and I assure you that, no matter what anyone says, this ends violently – it always has, it always will. Truthfully, this is what our enemies want.To think otherwise is to perilously ignore both history and the very nature of man. The Founders did everything they could before resorting to armed conflict, and it should serve as a reminder that there has to be a line drawn, the crossing of which brings dire consequences. Then, as now, it must be the People, who love freedom more than life itself, who draw the line. I wish that things were different; they are not. The time to make a choice is now because our enemies, both foreign and domestic, are, quite literally, in our homes seeking to destroy. The choice? Are you willing to sacrifice everything so that the future of this once-in-history country and the future of our children are secure?

It would be egregiously hypocrytical for and Republican to agree to passage of any vote based on receiving money for the state he represents. Republicans vote on principal, not on self-interest. Mark my words, this won’t pass, and if it does, no Republican with earmarks for his state voted for it. And if it does, toss them out and elect someone who won’t sell their principals for money.

Second, I have attended several rallies in support of lowering taxes by simplifying and re-writing the tax code, however, due to the constraints of time that my job and business require, I could not make it to the 8/28 rally. I’ve spent a lot of time in email and on the phone corresponding with my Senators and Congressman and have warned them of the backlash that awaits them in 2012 if this nonsense continues. Finally, while my rants and ideas may not be worth a s^%t to “anyone of importance”, neither are yours. Is anyone really surprised? If Republicans are serious about changing the course America is on, they are going to have to get on the offensive. They also need to dump Boehner. Sorry John, I realize you had it tough growing up, but grow a pair, stop crying and get ready to fight or get your butt out of the way – same to you Steele. The new Republican controlled house needs to subpoena Obama and every traitor in Congress, who voted on these unconstitutional 2,000+ page bills, to answer for their treasonous acts. Then, when Conservatives win the White House and Senate back in 2012, they need to reduce the number of Supreme Court justices to five and disband every single federal court that has an activist Liberal on the bench. Needless to say, they also need to make an example of Obama for future traitors who would worm their way into the White House by executing him for treason. Short of taking actions like these, America is doomed to fail, because the Communists/Liberals/Progressives/No-Namers won’t stop until they have destroyed America.

Obama said if we bring a knife, they’ll bring a gun… I say, if they bring a gun, we need to bring a tank to crush these little traitors and rid America of communist infiltrators once and for all. We have at our disposal the legal means to eradicate communism from America, but Republicans in Congress are going to have be as serious about saving the United States as Liberals are about destroying it.

I propose that Congress shall meet in Montana, in the winter time, in a small, cheap, unheated motel, with no extra staff, with a real time limit, like 4 weeks a year, with only carry in hamburgers, to make laws. And they have to read through every bill, standing outside whether blizzard or no. Every bill has to be printed in every major city at least a month before it’s read. And their pay should be an average of what workers in their state get paid for one month. And half of their bills need to be repealing old bills.

Sorry to burst your bubble but neither the R‘s or D’s will be done regardless of how the vote on this bill or even the tax bill turns out. They’ve had free reign for 100 years with little to no resistance from we the people. We are the people that made the federal government but we have failed to do our duty of upholding and defending the Constitution. We’ve allowed the government to usurp powers not delegated them. Our state legislatures have failed in recalling representatives that have failed to up hold the Constitution and their oaths. I believe the end is near for America as it currently exists. The question is what will we do? Will we allows the elitists to continue on with their quest for global government or will we restore our Country to the Constitutional Republic that are founders left us? We will not restore it with cry baby Boehner or most of the current crop of Tyrants. The so called Tea Party candidates that were recently elected will not help us either. If you are depending on them you are not awake to the problems. It is still possible to restore the Republic in a peaceful manner but that possibility becomes less and less every day. We must force our states to stand up for states rights. In the end, if we love our Republic we must be willing to take up arms against the Tyrants. We must willing to die as were our founders. We can’t fire the first shots and we must have sufficient numbers that are also willing to die.

Its very hard to get people to go to D.C. with weapons in hand because of the fear of dying in the struggle, so many years ago I suggested that if the government had gone bad that the most powerful weapon WE THE PEOPLE have AT OUR DISPOSAL is our MONEY! We simply have to cut off the source that feeds the monster.

      Al Otto,
“The “R”’s have it too. They seek to push Socialist Values.”

Could you expand on what Socialist values they are pushing?

Hey Atheist…..How about we get the 50% who don’t pay anything to chip in before we ask people to pay more than 50% of their earnings to the government?

Reid and these people are telling the American people.THEY DO NOT CARE!!

TRAITOR: One who betrays anothers trust is false to an obligation or a duty

You wonder if they are trying to incite RIOTS!!

Tax REVOLT April 15,2011. Do not file or send any money into the IRS until they contact you first. Then set up a payment plan for 2011.

If you usally get money back. That means you have overpaid taxs for that year. This is what the IRS wants. The “Government Stupid” had your money instead of you all year. Change your W-2 to more dependants for half the year!! Try to “NOT” get any money back or pay very little in 2012!!

The SSI 2% deduction sounds good The “Govermnet Stupid” wants you to think that they are giving you some extra money. But it is yours to begin with. They are hoping you buy some $100 tennis shoes. Remember that SSI is retirement Insuraance you pay for. Insurance you get “If” you live long enough to collect it. The more you pay “INTO” SSI determines how much you get back when and IF you get to collect it!! So the 2% deduction is all so DEDUCTING from your SSI

The DEATH TAX is one of the most IMMORAL things anyone has ever thought of!! It is the “Government Stupid’s” JOB to protect WE THE PEOPLE’S property NOT to TAKE it!!! This is UNCONSTITUTIONAL and TRYANNY at its best!! They say it is all about WE THE PEOPLE and not leaving our kids in DEBT.Then they want to take YOUR kids money that YOU worked hard to make FOR your kids and family!!!

      TERM LIMITS NOW !!

      FAIR TAX NOW !!
