Why do I think some posters are paid? Personally, I have a small window of opportunity between trying to keep our small business’ head above water, and taking care of the numerous cats I rescue or feed, to post. “Don’t believe everything you hear and only half of what you see”. He is akin to the fireman who starts fires so he can be viewed as the hero trying to put out the fire. For example, when the government finally sells all its stock in GM and breaks even or turns a slight profit, where is the socialism?? Reagan gave Chrysler guaranteed loans, with no chance of an upside. Placing the financial aid in a form which allowed the government to get it back later on provided the upside Reagan never even considered. With Reagan there was only a downside.

“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”
I have followed Glenn for almost two years, and in that time I watched a man who, to me, was a clown grow into a true leader. Not a priest and yet he is blessed and dedicated to spreading the word of God and shining the light of truth where it is needed. What a stark difference to Obama, it is almost glaring. One stands for love and hope and the other for hate and pain. How sad that our nation is being led by a criminal. I wish only that our president had half the honor and decency of Glenn. When Martin Luther King Jr. said:
“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”
Was he talking about black people? No! for at some point later in the speech he said:
“I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of “interposition” and “nullification” — one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.”

Based on the number of posts I generate here on the Blaze, it seems fair that Glenn should deposit some revenue into my Paypal account, not that I need it, but as a good capitalist knows, one can never make enough money.

You’ve not studied up have you? You don’t believe cause you never tested what Beck says by doing your own due diligence…and bring some factual data for some debate rather than singing the same old far left crap.
Anyhoo, Gold is rockin’ and I got in way before Beck said to…but hope some of you got some when he hammered on it at 700 bucks. Congrats to those who do actually challenge what Beck is saying, rather than throwing rocks like beckisnuts and the like.
We are not blind followers of Beck…and I have criticized Beck via email to the man. He’s not always 100% right but if you are stroking say 20% of the time, you can make it in the USA. Lazy people only hit it right about 1% of the time. And unfortunately most are lazy.
His statement about, “don’t take what I say as the truth but test it yourself, educate yourself” is biblical. Test everything in light of scripture and hold fast to that is true.
He is the only man in the media that has made that statement…

Meaning that the gospel (in New Testament times) was preached to the Jew first and to the gentiles last. In the last days (present time) the gospel is being preached to the gentile first and to the Jew last. I‘m sure there are some Jews who have accepted Jesus as The Christ but on a large scale they haven’t yet. When that will finally happen is anyone’s guess. I have a strong feeling that what Glenn is doing in Israel and by promoting the support of Jews and of Israel will be like a small snowball rolling down the hill and will soon start growing and growing.

No,” he said last year. “Were we in bed with dictators and abandoned our values and principles? Yes. That causes problems … I’m not going to screw with the rest of the world. I’m going to get out.”
That didn’t last long.
For many Beck fans, finding a leader earnestly beyond politics, or at least one primarily motivated by the advancement of humankind, would be a wonderful thing. So many people yearn for a present day Jesus Christ or Gandhi or Martin Luther King, a righteous man to show the way in a fallen world. Has there ever been a rich man like that? One who tirelessly monetized his personal brand in every way possible? Would any of those men have cruelly mocked the physical appearance of a young woman, or sought attention by pretending to pour gasoline on someone, or fleeced trusting fans by encouraging them to buy gold at marked up prices and profiting from it?

You said Israel’s favored status as a nation is no longer theirs to claim.
If that is true, and I have no authority to dispute it, then those who support Israel are doing it out of the motive of political interests and not for religious reasons. So Glenn Beck and his followers are really barking up the wrong tree by thinking they are God’s chosen people and using that as their reason to support Israel.

Jesus stood up for what was right. Jesus was no pacifist. He did what was called for when it was needed.
Now I’ll point out another misunderstanding that pacifists and liberals cling to when claiming the name of Jesus in promoting non-violence: “Turning the other cheek”.
The culture Christ lived in at that time was not a thing like modern American culture. The Jews, among whom they were proselyting at the time, were obsessed with ceremonial cleanliness. If a man smote the other on the cheek and the “victim” turned the other cheek, then in order for the assailant to hit him again, he would have to use the left hand or a back hand and thereby defile himself or become “unclean”. For a disciple to turn the other cheek was a act of self defense.

Belief in the Trinity is noble but not a tenant of Christianity, placing oneself in the secure Hands of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ.
I suspect you are a “recovering Catholic” attending some evangelic church who, and God only knows why, spend more time attacking the beliefs of other Christians than adhering to the New Covenant — “Love one another as I have Loved you.”

I am not a Catholic and Catholics are not Christian because they believe in indulgences and works to enter the kingdom. Like Catholics, Mormons need to work their way to the kingdom. The gift of eternal salvation is a free gift given by God to all those who will believe on Jesus and what His death on the cross really means for all of us. These next 3 verses will specifically tell us that good works will not get us into heaven. Here are the verses:

You misunderstand the Gospel of Christ. All men are saved from physical death through resurrection. However, Jesus and the prophets make it perfectly clear on several occassions that certain things are required (they’re called commandmets) to enter the Kingdom of God. (i.e. John 3:5, John 13:34, Acts 17:30, Hebrew 10:26, Exodus 20, etc.)
Jesus loves all no matter who we are or what we do. However, He does not condone sinful behavior. Sins must be repented of and forsaken (repeated no more). No unclean thing can enter the Kingdom of God. True, Jesus has taken all our sins upon him to satisfy the demands of justice but, he requires us to obey the commandments.
And yes, they are 3 seperate and distict beings (the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit). and each is a God, a member of the Godhead or Trinty. You can try to argue otherwise but there are too many occasions when all three are present and that cannot be explained away. For example Matt 3:16-17 And Jesus, when he was abaptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased

Posted on July 20, 2011 at 12:24pmAs a member of the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints, I can assure you that we believe that God the Father, his Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are “three distinct persons” forming what in mormonism is called the Godhead, being one God without end (as they think and act as one, a doctrine Christ frequently professed). Mormons devote their lives to following Christ and profess that it is only through him that mankind may be saved. We do not put our salvation in the hands of men or ourselves. We believe that after all we can do, Christ’s mercy and grace is still necessary for deliverance. Those who will be saved are those who believe on his name, utilize his saving grace by repenting of their sins, and following as best they can his word. If that’s not a Christian belief, I don’t know what is.

No, he was talking to God, the Father, because at that instant, with all the sins of the world upon Him, He was, for the first and only time in His existence, completely separated from God. Perhaps you can imagine what that would be like for someone who was God, but put aside his Godhood and lived as a man in order to be the sacrifice for sins. They are separate, but the same. One, but in three separate personages.

It is where the term “scapegoat” originated. Ancient superstitious people would symbolically pile their sins on a goat and send it off in the desert so they would feel cleansed. Smug ,complacent know it all regarding who is saved and who isn’t is the last thing that could be pleasing to Jesus.We should be looking at our own sins rather than impuning to non christians condemnation by God for not being “christian”.And the catholic Church since vatican 2 has said as much so this is now standard dogmatic catholic teaching.The Holy Spirit has touched us to recognize the cruelty and absudity of thinking God would condemn those who happen not to believe consciously in Christ.
