‘It’s a Black Problem’: Fla. Black Panthers Call for End to Violence After 15 Shot in 2 Days

Fla. New Black Panther Party Calls for Black Leaders to Step Up After 15 Shot in Two Days

Members of the local New Black Panther Party called for black leaders to come together after 15 people were wounded in shootings in less than 48 hours. (WJXT)

A violent crime spike in Jacksonville, Fla. this week prompted outrage from the local New Black Panther Party, with members speaking out Wednesday calling for the violence to stop and for black leaders to step up.

A mass shooting at a 21st birthday party Sunday left 11 wounded and killed one unborn child. Just two days later, three people were killed and a toddler was shot, less than a mile and a half from Sunday’s shooting.

“We want to call our leadership to the table. We want to address these concerns,” organizer Mikhail Muhammed told WJXT at a small demonstration near the two shooting sites. “We believe it’s a black problem, and we believe the black leadership must step up.”

With signs that featured slogans such as “Stop the killing, start the loving, begin the healing,” Muhammed said black community leaders need to put an end to the violence, saying change must come from within.

His words were strikingly different from those of another New Black Panther Party leader, whom The Blaze reported on Thursday after he was shown in videos teaching violent self-defense tactics to children.

“This is a state of emergency, this is a crisis and we can now no longer put it in the hands of other people,” Muhammed said. “It‘s our children we’re killing, it‘s ourselves we’re killing.”

Members of the New Black Panther Party said they are planning march at the end of September.

    I think it’s a great first step. I respect them for finally seeing there is a problem with blacks on blacks. There are a lot of problems with race, but seeing this one is a positive step

      Now they need to convince their so-called ‘leaders’, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, to speak out and begin uniting people instead of dividing them as they so routinely do. Better yet, they need to dump Jesse and Al. Those 2 idiots are nothing but parasites on their own race and perhaps some of them are finally getting it. End the rhetoric these 2 and others like them spew, and racism will finally start going away.

      I agree that we must support those who are trying to make a difference the right way. Sharpton and Jackson would be out of a job if there was peace. It’s like the sawed-off SOB who died from AIDS , Arafat…he kept war going so he could stay in control…they all know it… and pocket the BILLIONS sent to the Palestinians by the USA.
      IT is going to take strong CITIZENS to stand together to say: WE want our laws upheld, without taking our guns. We want the GOBMENT to get the hell out of the way so our businesses can grow. We want the STUPID EPA freaks who revel in their so-called POWER to move somewhere away from thinking THEY have the power, they would shut down ALL of industry if they could, ungrateful, silly people…they just passed a clean air act…they don‘t get to do it to the detriment of humans living and they don’t get to MAKE UP FACTS just so they can stay in the chips…. WE need REAL leadership and someone who has been there and RESPECTS people for people..and doesn’t see them a poll numbers.. SARAH PALIN speaks tomorrow..she may not announce, but she will soon. SHE did great things for her state and drove out the corruption…she can do it nation-wide with our help. WE ALL need to help EVERY community restore law/order and PEACE…but we don’t do it by making red-necked racial slurs.

      I don’t know whether the NB Panthers in FL. are sincere or not, but they speak the Truth. Their leaders do need to step up. They need to stop blaming the TEA party and “whites” for their despair. So I comend their statements and hope that it does not fall on deaf ears.

      Blacks do commit 30,000+ black-on-white rapes every year, while 10 or less rapes occur per year when it is white-on-black.

      But on those notes, I do commend the acknowledgment of your community’s involvement in these crimes.There are a lot of great Black people in the world. Unfortunately they are not the role models to the youth. The Globalists want them to idolize the thugs, to continue the breakdown of the moral fabric of America, and to further their agenda of dividing the Country and causing Social chaos.

It seems to me that you need to stop taking Liberal Black Theology (which is a contradiction in terms and concepts, BTW) and start talking to God directly without the Enemy’s influence.       Again, you cannot control, manipulate, usurpe nor even comprehend God’s plan. His Will and His Justice will be met out on His terms. By declaring that God is going to get someone on your behalf, you are acting just like Jonah, and you are not listening to God. He is full of mercy and compassion, just like we are supposed to be. Instead of calling down God’s (which is rather crass, imo) you should be praying for the softening of a heart or understanding or clarity. Go rethink your plans and anger and ask God for help with being Christlike. I think you may have misunderstood the comment you are so upset about. It wasn’t about all blacks dying. Also, how is it that with this black pres. black unemployment is at 15 percent and teen black unemployment is a whopping 50 percent??       You are very wrong and you call the name of God! I spent the majority of my life policing and I have yet to see but a few black folks calling other black folk out. I have yet to see other Muslims calling Muslims out. Yes I am concerned but I have prepared my self. I have never seen Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton called out by the black community for the perpetuated frauds.In my 32+ years of policing I never had a brutality claimed against me nor had a complaint of abuse from any race and you cam come to my neighborhood which is 70 African American and still not get a complaint. But there are statistics to prove the point that black on White Crime is 8 to 12 times higher across this nation than vice-versa. In my humble opinion it comes from hatred bred in the black community and a government, especially Democrats who have kept blacks enslaved along with the Jackson‘s and Sharpton’s of the world.Call this what you wish I call it truth!

      I completely support the NBP and their attempt to motivate the leaders of their community to stop the violence.
      I only wish more strong black leaders would step forward and set an example for the young people to follow.
      I worked in the projects in a community where I was the only white person I would see all week.
      Having met and talked with MANY young blacks, I have come to the conclusion that it is not intelligence they lack…it is leadership.
      Most are from broken homes, and idolize rappers and thugs rather than real leaders, educated or not.
      In many cases a strong woman hanging on by her toenails is the only glue holding the family together.
      I urge the NBP to continue the good fight to save their youth.
      They need to shitcan Shabazz, though…..he is a true racist idiot, and a poor example.

    I don’t know the facts and will not pretend to but I have to believe that if this brings outrage from the NBPP then those that were killed must have been black. Please tell me they would do the same thing if it were white folks being killed. And again, please inform me of the race of those killed since maybe I am drawing a wrong conclusion that in my belief thats its been complete silence on the part of black leadership of all the flash mobs and black on black or white violence that has been happening lately. I guess since the video out today on “how to kill” by the NBPP forgot to mention who it is you are suppose to kill, better get that straight or your ranks are going to dwindle by your own hand.

      First of all….the slogan just saying stop the killing is so liberal in that they don’t go to the root of how to actually do that. Isn’t against the law to kill but they have a cute lil sign that says stop the killing and go right to loving. If you are violent enough to kill you will not be able to love because there is no love in you but continual evil, hate, bitterness, racism and pure lawlessness for the sake of enjoyment. The culture does not value life and until it does there will be no loving and no stopping it. I say we will end up meeting violence with extreme violence to rid ourselves of the element of violence which will only pass that violence along. We must then remove violent content from our screens, computer games and prime time viewing. Return to God and deal with violence the same way the Bible prescribed…eye for and eye, tooth for tooth. Than maybe then we have a solution. Problem is we are running out of time to accomplish this great feat.

      NO RACE IS SUPERIOR – You need to chill out a little, you sound like your blood pressure is going through the roof. Believe it or not there is a difference between racism and observation. We’ve seen racism by blacks against white people as well. Maxine Waters has been calling for mobs to go into “other” neighborhoods lately.
