“Climate change is an environmental issue, it’s an economic issue, but it’s also fundamentally a moral issue. We have an opportunity to act now to forestall great harm to our nation and to the world. We had that kind of issue at other times in our history, we had it during the civil rights debate.”

For a congressman to equate global warming to civil rights should be impeached. First global warming is a myth, even the ppl that preach about it don’t believe it. Al gore he just bought a 9 million dollar mansion near the beach in Cali. That makes what 3 mansions Al owns, not to mention all his suv’s and him flying on private planes everywhere he goes. If Al believes this crap why is he buying a 9 million dolar mansion when it will be under water in 10 years like he keeps telling us? Or why isn’t he leading by example and lowering his carbon footprint. He has a bigger carbon footprint than all of us posters put together! Secondly the civil rights is not a myth actually happened. Dr. King Jr led the black population to a nonviolent well produced work of civil disobedience. And all of America is better for the work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
In the 1970′s all we heard was global ice age, now the same scientists are telling us global warming. I am not a scientist but the earth is warmed by this gigantic nuclear fusion yellow star called the sun, that burps out over 380 billion watts of energy. Sun spots also dictate whether how cold or how hot the earth gets as well. The more sun spots the hotter the earth, just like in the period of the late 1980‘s to the late 1990’s. And I do believe that is when the global warming nuts really got their idea kicked off. Now there has been less sun spots and the earth is gradually cooling off from the decade of “global warming.”
