      I think she’s another of those idiots who claim (or think) that Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, and Oregon is occupied Mexican territory. Never minding the facts that that territory was ceded to the US by Santa Anna and the Mexican government SURRENDERED outside Mexico City in 1836. Remember the Alamo came from that era.
      And yes, Texas was a Republic before they joined the Union, and wasn’t ceded.
      Still, I wonder with all the crap happening in Mexico, from the drug cartels to the illegals crossing the border to take jobs that employers who hire them couldn’t get away with if they hired legal workers in this country, if we would have made Mexico as a whole a state (or states).

    So I take it the focus of this story is not the merits, or lack thereof, of her argument but the fact that she mocked Southerners. Otherwise there would be a transcript of her argument.

    Who cares? I‘m certain her constituents don’t care what she thinks of Southerners. So exposing her statement will have no effect whatsoever, the very definition of a pointless “news” story.

      Why is it important to expose her as a bigot against Southerners?. My family is from the south and I could take offense at her remarks but it simply doesn’t matter. Exposing her won’t make her less popular in her district. If she were running for nationwide office that would be another thing. But she isn’t. I detest her for FAR more substantial reasons that her regional bogotry.

      Let’s focus on those SUBSTANTIAL reasons rather than the picky ones. So many of the Blaze’s stories fall into the “their picking on us!“ or ”loook what they said about us” category. It is childish and unproductive.

      I’m from the South, and I‘m so offended that I’m going to remember to send Loretta’s opponent a big check when she has to run again.

      Perhaps the Tea Parties in CA can get together and come up with a stronger Candidate than Van Tran, her Republican opponent in 2010.

      Sanchez was challenged by Republican nominee Van Tran and Independent candidate Ceci Iglesias. According to Roll Call, Sanchez considered running for governor or for the U.S. Senate in 2010. In November 2005, she opened an exploratory committee called People for Loretta 2010. However, in June 2009, she announced she would run for reelection to the House.

      In September 2010, she appeared on the Spanish language network, Univisión and said that “the Vietnamese and the Republicans are — with an intensity — trying to take away this seat”, referring to her Vietnamese-born opponent, Van Tran. Sanchez also described Tran as “anti-immigrant”.

      Have to disagree. Sanchez’s election was engineered by Hollyweird (Streisand, Baxter-Birney, etc) to kick Rusty Dornan out of office. They moved her into his district, bought her a house, and spent millions on her campaign. Up until the Obama debacle it was one of the most classless, corrupt elections ever. She and her sister Linda,(also in congress because of “name recognition) who besides being a corrupt polititian, is also famous for her knowledge of “packages” as evidenced by her being selected as(and accepted) a judge at a male endowment contest( you can’t make this stuff up) obviously because of all her hands on experience. To be totally fair to Linda there was drinking involved. Ain’t it nice to know the fate of our Country is in the capable hands of people like the Puta sisters.

      I’m really angry what this woman thinks of our Constitution. Her comment got me to thinking about myself (ha), I was about 5yrs. old when my family moved from the deep south to California. I remember a boy at school calling me a hick, wanting to know if I was an Arky, Oky, or what? And I was as cute as a button, and he was from a sick insensitive family to be so cruel. After all these years it still hurts to hear someone denigrate all southerners with accents. I think it’s beautiful and reminds me of my very early youth. This congresswoman can go “you know where” and reading about her I understand she was involved in a scandal about her election.

      Take the time to find books on our history that were written at least 50 years ago. Find the original hard copies and read…. We are at the exact same point (politically) as we were in the 1840′s & 50′s, right up-to the start of the civil war.

      It is time we acted as our founding fathers would have, you know, those Radical Right Wingers, and give any and all these Anti-American people one of two simple choices – Get off American soil immediately or be hung by the neck until dead for their treasonous actions and words. They didn’t throw people in prison for treason and they did not give them a trial by jury, for they are NOT entitled to one….. they only gave them the rope.

      Why do you naturally assume they are misinformed just because they do not have a college education? College is great, my son is going to college. Myself did not attend but I still make a 6 figure salary. I am very informed and most of my friends who some when and some did not are also informed.

      Did you ever stop to think that just maybe college is the problem? Why is it that most all non-college people are more conservative? The colleges are a breeding ground for liberal teaching and therefore most people who go (not all) tend to have liberal mindset as well. My son being a 20yr old conservative finds it difficult in some classes to keep his mouth shut. What they teach goes in one ear and out the other. So with that being said all us poor uneducated tea party Americans will just have to stumble our way through the dam mess you and your party have made. But don’t worry we will find out way.       Secondly, There is no such thing as “rights” of workers. That is whole problem. The lazy, self-centered,egotistical, self-righteous, self-serving freeloader’s only believe the make believe union BS that they have some magical “rights” which allows them to perform poorly, waste massive amounts of “taxpayer” money, then fail to fulfill their contractual obligations because they did not get their way. Oh yah, and have no fear of being fired for it.

      They have the “privilege” of being a union which demands they pay over large amounts of their weekly pay so the “boss’” can live large. They are so myopic they fail to understand what is before their eyes.

      “college education”. This is a rather humorous subject given that recent studies conducted at Harvard and Yale show that a PITIFUL 41% of 4th year graduate students are capable of READING and correctly extrapolating accurate data from complex text compared to 54% of high school seniors.       She probably wouldn’t want to know much about our Constitution. Rumor has it that she was first elected to Congress thanks to the vote of Mexican illegal immigrants.

      Here’s the oath taken by Ms. Sanchez:

      “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”

      Apparently, she was lying when she so swore. So, she’s not just a stupid bigot, she’s dishonest, as well.

      The classless and clueless Ms. Sanchez, is one of the reasons that the country is in deep trouble. It is time that we elect people who do not have to resort to slurs in order to get their name in print. Californians should be ashamed to have her representing their state.

      Loretta Sanchez’s political “career” started on rocky ground back in 1995. After a failed bid at Anaheim’s City Council running as Loretta Bixbey (her married name), and as a Republican, she re-made herself, Madonna style, becoming a Democrat, and going back to her maiden name “Sanchez”. Shows that these people will go to any lengths to get into office, Typical of
      the CA, reps. she continues to get re-elected, despite voter fraud and many,many other ethics
      allegations.. The American voter are the ones at fault here…We need to wake-up America and
      put a boot up the azz of these leaches !! they are literally sucking us dry…….she is now
      a congresswoman… something wrong here.

      She claims Republicans are Bigots, She is nothing but a LaRaza puppet, with many,
      many ethics allegations to her credit, check out her website, she is a real P.O.S
      she will fit right in with Rangel, Waters and the rest of the Dem. croonies, probably
      exchange ideas on how they can line their pockets with Tax Dollars, don’t hold
      your breath, it will happen !!!!!!!!
