Let’s forget about the debt for the moment.
U.S. spends 3.6 trillion a year.
112 million taxpayers
3.6 t / 112m = 321,428
That means every taxpayer only needs to give 321,428 each to balance the spending.
I personally don’t have a problem with this. Quit your bitch’in and mail your check.. Chezz

Posted on October 17, 2011 at 9:53amIf medical care were a constitutional right, the government would be prohibited from meddling in it. Things would actually be better, because medicare and medicaide would be outlawed, because they affect the cost of medical care for all. All of the bills lagislating hospitals would be null and void. The FDA would be outlawed. The EPA would be outlawed. Medical malpractice would no longer be a legal issue, it would not exist. Obamacare would be unconstitutional if medical care were a constitutional right. The government cannot give us our constitutional rights, we are born with them, the government is charged with protecting our constitutional rights. They would have to stay out of the way.

If a multimillionaire pays some $380,000 per million in taxes and I pay $5000 in taxes on the $40,000 I made, simple math shows the rich guy is footing more of the bill. Opposition folks will go on to say ‘but, what about all the deductions and ways to hide money the ‘Rich’ are able to use that the ‘Poor’ can’t? Why would the ‘Poor’ want to? they don’t have the assets to make it worthwhile. These protests are going sideways now. If they don’t grow (and they dont’ seem to be growing) they have to get violent and confrontational to survive. Posted on October 17, 2011 at 1:49pmI remember learning about The Little Red Hen in my preschool days (forty something years ago). Basically the hen asks all of the other farm animals for help in planting grain for wheat – help for harvesting – threshing – milling – etc – but none of the other farm animals would help in any stage of the process, until it was time to actually eat the bread, they were all there lining up to get their share!!
Of course the hen kept it all for herself and her family, and all the other animals could go straight to hell. Anyways, that’s the way I interpreted. The moral of the story is quite simply if you don‘t work then you don’t eat.
We don’t teach this anymore. Now we teach that the damn hen is a greedy capitalist, and that by the pure grace of the government and to no credit to her own hard work and determination, she has now procured a bounty which she must now share with the downtrodden and with all the other victims she stepped on to get ahead. The government is thus our savior and it is the great equalizer. Without the government one cannot hope to create or achieve anything of any real value.
We must ask Jesus Christ and our government into our lives because only then can we truly manifest the greatness that has been bestowed upon each and every one of us.

Amen, brother! Conservatives must educate themselves in history and economics. Politics and economics are directly linked to each other. The Austrian school of economics ties freedom to money and wealth.
I strongly suggest signing up for the Mises Daily newsletter: http://mises.org/

His personal story and connection with the black community strongly influenced his decision, as did the fact that there really wasn’t a viable opposing choice. McCain made Obama look better with every speech he made, and there was nothing to truly hope for in Palin because she would only be VP, not President.
Frankly, after the election, even though I knew O’s history and what he would probably drag this nation through, I had a moment of appreciation for the historic landmark of electing a black president because of its historical significance. I can see how so many conservatives in the black community were swayed in spite of the indications that O was as far from conservative as possible.

This is a story as old as man. We should just ignore them, regain political power, and return this great country to what it used to be. Freedom Rules.

Posted on October 17, 2011 at 9:24amThey say “good for Charles” as though they don’t have the exactly the same opportunities that he has had in life. These people don’t seem to understand there is a difference between truly being in need and getting a helping hand to tide them over and expecting a lifetime of free hand-outs simply because you are breathing and too lazy to make your own opportunity. This is the brainwashing Cain was referring to–an entire culture raised to believe they are “owed” something for nothing. Removing incentive to make one’s own way in life will perpetuate a continuous downward spiral not just in the US but ultimately the entire world.

Posted on October 17, 2011 at 11:13amMr. Payne is completely correct. He even proves the fact that programs, desired by many of the OWS participants who think the government needs to intervene to insure success, are already in place. Our educational system in the United States is virtually free for all low income families. If you don’t own property in Florida and don’t participate in the Florida Lottery, your only investment in public school education is from a small portion of the sales tax collected on items purchased. Medical costs and many grocery items are sales tax exempt. Everyone has the opportunity to get a good education. All you have to do is show up with the desire to learn.

Posted on October 17, 2011 at 9:24amGood for Charles Payne! He is an American! The rest of those wimps are cry babies that feel “someone” owes them and must therefore care for them …… dumb DemoRats. Remember, the FEDERAL deficit this year is some $1.3 Trillion. The entire net worth of the Forbes 400 richest Americans is $1.5 Trillion ….. so confiscate and liquidate the businesses of the Forbes 400 and that might settle the deficit for THIS YEAR ONLY. Now where does the money come from for next year? and the year after that and the year after that as the unemployment increases, economic activity shuts down and tax revenues decrease as business after business closes or migrates out of the country? D**b A*s DemoRats.

Posted on October 17, 2011 at 9:13amI admire Charles. He didn’t go running to “the system” to give him what he needed. He did it all on his own, and that is a beautiful thing. I hope he becomes very wealthy, very successful , and he can be a positive example for others. How can the left think that all people should become wealthy? Equal opportunity does not mean equal results.
Report Post »NJTMATO
Posted on October 17, 2011 at 9:25amAgreed! But one thing about what you posted about the left thinking everyone should be wealthy struck me funny….the left doesn’t think everyone should be wealthy…they think everyone should have the same except for the top of the top of them….It is the conservative right that believes and wishes for everyone to be able to create wealth and be wealthy as it gives us a higher standard of living….however, we don’t believe that our wealth creation is based upon what we can “get” from others…we GET TO CREATE OUR OWN! And work as hard as WE want to. (that is until we are regulated away from working) God Bless Charles!!

Shouldn’t the racial makeup of the NBA be representative of the population? Why are they missing this in their message? They seem to cherry pick and always demonize some faceless ‘corporation’. Sorry but most people I know are corporations, I worked for a large corporation for many years, that makes me one of those faceless corporations. They say corporations aren’t people, sorry but it wouldn’t be a corporation without people.

Posted on October 17, 2011 at 9:12amthe infrastructure that was built was built by the Federal, State, and Local governments that these companies used. The idea that somehow these business oh people who do not pursuit a business of their own is obsurd. The roads were built for everyone, everyone should pay something to the government to help support such things as transportation infrastructure (more for a sales tax than an income tax myself). But we can not expect one group of people to give up more of what they work for and what they provide to the people in order to satisfy those who believe they deserve something for nothing. The tax issue is about who pays more or less is solely determined by who has the best tax assistant to get the most out of a tax return. Some middle class pay more than rich, some rich pay more than the middle class. It all varies depending upon one’s political influence, which is an embarassment. The opportunity still exists in the country to start a business, it takes effort and sacrifice, some people just dont understand that. Thank god it was a good conversation and not some giant spectacle. It seems a growing number of at least “clear thinking” individuals are showing up out there. Though their opinions are off on a tangeant from what our society was meant to be, it is at least spoken in clear and understandable arguments, not beating drums and chanting.

Posted on October 17, 2011 at 11:05amThe road construction circa 1930 was based on a use tax. The more you used gas, the more you paid. This was one of the oldest tax reforms in the country because before that, most roads were built with property taxes. In 1991, the gas tax became infected with Transportation Enhancements. Ten percent of transportation spending was diverted to museums, flowers on the road, land purchases for green ways and about 9 other things that are weakly associated with transportation, like sidewalks. About a sixth of federal gas taxes goes to public transportation, even if you never use it. The user of public transportation pays an average of about 25% of the cost. Many states, like West Virginia, immediately eliminated their toll roads because of the gas tax but many states, like West Virginia, are now using tolls to rediscover a proper balance between transportation need and transportation funding. This turn of events is a financial failure to manage because the roads that earn enough money to sustain themselves pay into a common fund so that they can support roads that don’t earn enough money to support themselves. Winners support losers. Everything that is wrong with socialism can be seen in the socialist way we operate our transportation systems. Money flows away from urban areas to rural areas to maintain an unspoken right to have asphalt anywhere no matter how remote or how high the cost. The cost of bad projects is socialized. Money flows from “rich” cities to the rural areas.

Posted on October 17, 2011 at 9:11amCharles owned them. Notice that when they are asked questions such as “how much of my taxes are owed to support roads, bridges and court systems” no one WILL answers. It‘s because they can’t. This movement has no clear definition of what it is they are seeking. They have no idea of what type of society they want in the end. Therefore without any real clear definitions it will go on blowing in the wind. It‘s not enough to just say that the rich aren’t paying enough. How much then?
At least Matt Damon had a clue a few weeks ago when he decried that the wealthy should pay 50% when making over $5M. I don’t agree with him, but at least he shows some direction.
What’s funny is that Russel $immons won’t give away his money. He makes money hand over fist. He’s an industry tycoon. And I’m happy for him. But he hasn’t written that check for $100M to the government yet.

Posted on October 17, 2011 at 12:40pmYou are completely on target!
The current and just past generation is called the, “Give me.” generation. When you interview them for a job and ask if there are any questions, the first thing they ask is “What’s in it for me?” They may use other words, but that‘s all they’re worried about.
Give everyone a trophy, and tell everyone they must share equally in everything and that we and our ancesters “took” from others (even when we didn’t!!!), and this is what we get.
Starting in the late 50′s the schools were telling parents, “Give us your child, and get out of our way.” This allowed for women to leave the home and go out to work. The STATE educated the children, molded their minds and has developed this “Entitlement Generation”!
Charles Payne is an example of how it has been done and how it CAN STILL BE DONE, if we return to the understanding that you are born and then you die; anything that happens in between is called life and your are responsible for YOUR OWN LIFE, SUCCESS AND FAILRUES!
Give it a try and you won’t have a problem with your self-esteem, you will be proud of yourself for trying and even prouder if you fail and pick yourself up, or when you ARE successful on your own.
