11 Occupy San Francisco Protestors Arrested For Blocking Bank Entrance

Police arrested eleven anti-Capitalist Occupy Wall Street protestors in San Francisco yesterday for trespassing and blocking an entrance to a Wells Fargo office tower.

occupy san fran protestors arrested bank

The protestors yelled similar slogans to their downtown Manhattan Occupy comrades, though the main focus of the arrestees was on home foreclosures.

As she was being placed in a police van, one protestor yelled into the cameras “the banks are stealing our money,“ and then ”my dad lost his job because of globalization.”

Another handcuffed protestor yelled that police should “arrest the real criminals inside for stealing our money.”

The Occupy Wall Street-San Francisco branch started the protest at the Federal Reserve and caused the city’s trolley service to shut down for two hours.

Protestors then marched to the Wells Fargo office tower, which at first caused the building to shut down. Later, police escorted employees into a secure building entrance until the protestors dispersed. Another nearby Wells Fargo branch was forced to close for the entire day due to the protests.

Pete Woiwode, 28, a protest organizer, spoke with Reuters by cell phone from the scene and said:

“Wells Fargo is a good target because they have been very involved in the foreclosure crisis, kicking people out of their homes. Our message is: Stop kicking people out of their homes, start paying your taxes.”

Wells Fargo released a public statement that the bank recognizes the frustrations of Americans in the current economic climate, but pointed out that Wells Fargo repaid all of its taxpayer TARP money including an additional $1.4 billion profit.

Watch the video below to see the Occupy San Fran protestors scream about foreclosed houses, including the appearance of a former union official who said the police were protecting banks against the people:

What a minute… the lady states that her father lost his job due to globalization…. Does she understand globalization? It is the philosophy that to improve the standards of the economically depressed regions, jobs of low skill sets are sent to increase the wages of the lower class of other companies. IT IS A SOCIALIST AGENDA in a capitalist frame. The theory is that as the wages increase for jobs in the undeveloped/developing countries the wage in developed countries would drop. Then the world will find a happy median that all wages for equal skill sets are equal in price in every country. The theory also supports that as the wealth of developing nations increases, so does their populace gain the ability to educate and be competitive in other, higher skilled sectors. Also, as their wealth expanse, the populace gains access to products and goods that were foreign to them. China is current proof that the system actually works. It just has not gotten to a point were trade has equalized between us and them, but it is happening (look at hay prices and the fact that China is importing hay from the US to feed their cattle because our quality is better than theirs).

However, the Communist will always say that it is capitalism just using the populace of the other country as a slave for low wages. She needs to read a book and see what the push is for. There will always be poor and rich, only in a free market can the poor and rich freely move up and down.

The banks are responsible for kicking people out of their homes? I think the person who gets the mortgage SIGNS THEIR NAME PROMISING THEY WILL PAY BACK THEIR LOAN. A bank doesn’t point a weapon at your head telling you that you must sign the paper and you must pay them money and you must buy that home. You have a right to rent and not get a mortgage if you so want to. The comments from these morons who don’t even have a mortgage is seriously comical. They need to protest outside of politicians homes who made the mess not the banks!

If they take the house back you should get the money you DID pay back.

If I try to buy a house for 100,000 dollars and am able to pay 90% of it over the course of ten years before I lose my job and foreclose, the bank gets to walk away with the house AND my 90,000 dollars I did pay AND whatever I paid in interest over those ten years

They are encouraged to approve you for loans they know you wont be able to pay back because they stand to make MORE off you than you can potentially cost them by not paying.

It’s a messed up system and it needs correcting.

” If they take the house back you should get the money you DID pay back. ”

      - No, you promised to pay the entire amount due. If you don’t, you lose your money & your house. Those are the terms of a mortgage. And you signed the dotted line KNOWING those terms.

” They are encouraged to approve you for loans they know you wont be able to pay back because they stand to make MORE off you than you can potentially cost them by not paying. ”

      - Can‘t blame the banks if you accepted a loan YOU KNEW YOU COULDN’T AFFORD. Again, you willingly signed on the dotted line.

@VoteBushIn12.. So in otherwords you want to live for free.. Let me make it simple for a simple mind… If you rent an apartment for lets say 5 years and stopped paying your rent due to loss of job so they throw you out, now you deserve to get ALL the money that paid in rent over the 5 years back ? What are you nutz , or a liberal ? How about you take a loan out for a car and after 2 and 1/2 years you can’t pay anymore and only have 6 months left to pay so they repossess the car and YOU should get all that money back that you paid into it, huh ? Hope that makes perfect sense to you.. Somehow, I don’t think so though..

What don’t you understand votebushin12? No one forces you to buy a house, you can rent your whole life if you please. What you stated about paying 90% then possibly losing your job and losing your house and all you paid is true, but you could also pay 90% in a strong market and decide to sell your house and make a great deal of money. If you did make money on your investment does the bank have the right to take some of that money? Answer, no, but keep thinking as you do and I can assure you someone will take your money and your property at gun point, the government.

So you think you should be paid to default on your mortgage? Live there a while and when you get bored and want to move just stop paying your mortgage and the bank gives you a bunch of money!!! Wow!! Great idea!!

Of course, if you are a bank you might not want to sell mortgages anymore. After all you spend your money on a property that will most likely lose value, knowing that you will have to give back any money you gained AND try to resell a house that may have been vandalized or allowed to fall apart. Then maybe only people who can pay cash can own houses or other properties.

You know…….I think I see why mortgages don’t work that way. The reason banks do sell mortgages is that they win most of the time. They have to take the chance that you will stop paying and tear up the house leaving them with a struggle to resell and hope they get at least most of what they loaned you, but most of the time they actually make a profit.

This just goes to show how dumb these protestors are. Wells Fargo repaid the loan that was forced on them, with interest. The bank doesn’t foreclose on people making their mortgage payments. I know my mortgage is with Wells Fargo. Do these people really think you should get a free house?

DEMO gogs don’t believe in growing the economy, they believe in cannibalizing it. They think wealth is stolen, not created.

    WE KNOW BETTER.

The problem is not that people have different amounts of wealth. The problem is that government has been overrun by clueless socialists who think economic cannabilism is a good thing. It buys them votes and power – all done with other people’s money. If they had to create their own wealth they would have no clue.

Again, this is just the begining. They won‘t get what they want because these Flea Baggers don’t know what they want, except free everything and only Obama gets that. When these useful idiots realize that they are simply pawns and nobody really cares about them. The media will get bored with them or something worthy of reporting on will make the liberal media ignore them, they will start to riot and loot. They will break laws and cause destruction and the LIberals, the Democrats, the Obama administration will have blood on their hands.

And vote out the rascals who keep stealing it from you. Namely Democrats, but to a lesser degree, Republicans.

Now read some good books on economics, by Adam Smith, Hugh Hazlett, von Mises, Hayek, etc. GET A CLUE your democrat cronies are USING you to achieve their economic ends. Tyrants all.

Yes, the banks are stealing our money. They paid big bucks to buy our Senators and Congressmen. Now that the banks own your representatives (and your representatives have near absolute power)they get whatever they want.

Round up all these smelly hippies & commies & re-educate them. Maybe a huge camp would work, they could work during the day to pay for there room & board & then take classes at night to learn how to get & then hold a real job & start paying taxes like the rest of the regular people in this country.

The true believers will not let this effort fizzle out. They have worked behind the curtain since the 1960s fomenting this. To come so close in achieving their life’s goals (the destruction of the U.S.) without results is a non-starter.

The FLEA PARTY has no momentum behind it any more. “Occupy” was cool for the first few days but now its a lot like work trying to satisfy the likes of Van Jones and the unions. These kids can’t relate to staying on task for the long haul. The kids don’t even know what they are there for other than to camp out and smoke dope and get there 10 seconds on TV.
The FLEA PARTY has lost its momentum, it never had focus, its becoming un-fun..“Occupy” has become a drag.
Rules #5-6 of Rules for Radicals:
    6. A good tactic is one that your people enjoy.
    7. A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.

The FLEA PARTY is finished……Its ASTRO-TURF!

Time for the real protestors to show up and do the dirty work…..Panthers, Unions, ect.

Exactly. The next step: violent riots.

Watch the old interview of Yuri Bezmenov (KGB agent in 1970s)
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RS8LA-5fmrs

Everything happening today is a part of the old KGB plan which consisted of:

      1. Subversion and demoralization of American society; brainwashing college professors with communist ideology; destruction of family and religious values

      2. Economic, political, foreign relations crisis

      3. Normalization: benevolent dictator (i.e. Obama) coming in and promising to fix the broken system (hope, change, and order)

      4. When it doesn’t work, people will revolt and the communist revolution will be the only solution

Like Glenn Beck keeps saying: Watch the other hand.
