14-Year-Old Sent Home From UK School for Looking Too Old

British educators are concerned that a 14 year old transfer student from Malawi is a “child protection risk” because they suspect him to be 24 and not 14.
Prince Summerfield is taller than most of the other students and when the young man was asked the year of his birth, he incorrectly stated “1986” and then correct himself and said, “1996.” By then it was too late, suspicions were raised and the inquisition had begun. The school‘s headmaster asked Prince’s parents for a birth certificate and they produced it. The papers did state that the young man was born September 24, 1996, but Headmaster Nigel Poole felt as if the parents produced the documents “too quickly” as if they were expecting a challenge.
Mom and Dad Summerfield are quite distressed by the allegations as Mrs. Summerfield would have been just 5 years old if Prince was born in 1986. They are considering legal action against the school.

Second, Mom would have been 5 at the time of his birth, had he been born in 1986. Can the people in charge of educating others not exercise even the smallest amount of common sense? Last, they produced the birth certificate too quickly? Really? Had they delayed it for too long, what would the school’s response have been?

I’ve been around people from African countries and their children are often more mature than the spoiled brats raised in countries that give their children excess and teach little responsibility in their lives. If there had been a delay in producing the papers, then the story would have read that there was a delay in producing papers because the parents were creating false documents.

Check his birth certificate, as it sounds and looks to me like it came from the same place Obama’s COLB did…Joes Internet Birth Certs on Demand…oh and get him a suit that didn’t belong to Refrigerator Perry for cripes sakes…or is that the Pants on the Ground UK ghetto look?
Little aside: I myself in the 8th grade looked much older than my classmates, this was in 1978, as I grew a little mustache both my parents and the teachers did not like over the summer, and also took to wearing pointed toed rider heel Snakeskin cowboy boots in West St Louis county were I lived at the time as a little southern rock wannabe then. :)
They on the first day of school called my parents and told them if I didn’t shave the kid mustache and lose the boots (they blamed the heels for marking the floors which was BS) they would send me home.
Needless to say my parents had me in the bathroom shaving it off that night and the boots were tossed into the old man’s Riviera trunk until high school just to make sure.
I dealt with it, we didn’t call the local news channel and whine endlessly like today.. WTF…..

I read that the mother is 30 and made an issue out of the claim “I would have been 5 when he was born!” So she ‘s eliminated the possibility of adoption. But thank GOD for Global warming or it would be so very much COLDER than below freezing here. lol! Some kids just grown faster than others. I’ve known several who were lots younger than they looked. My son had a friend who was 2 years younger than him and he always could pass for the same age as my son and then some.

Well done, love the poem, it is well done indeed.
For what it is worth in regards to this young man; if he is fourteen I can understand from a different set of prospectives. I had a classmate from late grade school into middle school who at 12 hit his growth spurt a bit early and topped out at 5′ 8″ at the age of 13, and 6′ 2″ by 14.
It can happen. Yet the caution for the school and parents is also understandable.

When he was 8 yrs old he started growing 2″ a year and by the time he was in 8th grade he was probably about 6′2″, maybe a bit taller. If a slip of the tongue is the only thing they are going on they need to reconsider.
