18 Church Websites Hacked With Pro-Islamic Messages

If you visited one of 18 church websites hosted by the internet company R Leisure Enterprises last week, you would have gotten an eyeful. That’s because those churches — stationed across the country — were hacked by someone who posted messages touting Islam.
“It was unnerving, but I think also it was an indicator to me of the different world we live in,” Rev. Vinnie Dauer of Fallen Timbers Community Church in Waterville, OH told the Taledo Blade. He received a text message from a member at about 6:30 pm last Tuesday telling him someone had posted “Muslim propaganda” on the site.
“No one could walk into this church building and put up propaganda that’s contradictory to our belief system, but yet our Web site is a representation of who we are,” the Rev. added.
According to Ryan Leisure, who owns the web hosting company and is also a member of Fallen Timbers church, said the motive seems clear.
“It seemed like he was clearly trying to convert people. I don’t see how he could actually be successful with this, but he was talking about Christians converting to Islam,” he told the Blade.
The Blade explains what exactly the hacker, who identified himself as Mr. HAil, did to the sites:
The hacker deleted the church Web sites and replaced them with a photograph of Mecca, a few paragraphs about Islam, and a list of 12 other Web sites purportedly containing more information about the faith. The postings didn’t include any inflammatory language against Christians.
“It’s a little alarming that just the churches were getting targeted by it,” Leisure said. “The churches that did contact me were panicking a little bit.”
Leisure said he immediately contacted the FBI and they told him to fill out a form online to file a complaint.
“I can‘t confirm we’ve opened a case, but certainly if he made that complaint they’ll review it and take whatever action they deem appropriate,” Special Agent Scott Wilson, a spokesman for the FBI in Cleveland, told the Blade.
However, WUPW-TV confirmed Wednesday that an FBI investigation is underway:
The attack has sparked outrage within the local Muslim community. WUPW says the Muslims are upset that someone would attack another faith and use Islam to do it.
“As Muslims, as Americans, as citizens– we strongly condemn any attack upon the rights and property and the dignity of other people,” Shamsuddin Waheed, treasurer of United Muslim Association of Toledo (UMAT), told the outlet.
“What is secondarily disturbing is somebody dared to use Islamic information to hack the website of a church, which is uncalled for,” added Dr. Zaheer Hasan, also a member of the local group.
Leisure said he‘s been able to restore most of the churches’ data and has changed all the passwords.

No matter what your religious or irreligious beliefs are, no one wants their beliefs to be pinned (unless they advocate harm to others in the name of their beliefs–radicalism exists among all beliefs) to one or small group of individuals that claim they represent an entire religion. There are jerks of all walks of life.

No, it was little noticed. The satanic verses, poem about Mohammad was written about 20 yrs ago, and I remember hearing about the Jihad declared on the writer, and any nation which protected him. I remember hearing old time “talk radio” when someone asked a Sen, if we should be concerned, the Sen’s (Not Rush) replay was, their such a “tiny sect” I wouldn’t be concerned! A few months later there was the embassy bombing and attack on our Marines on Leave in Lebanon, again, the attackers spouted “Jihad” and again,, when asked about it, the intelligencia assured us, they were just a small group of people, not able to do anything against American Weaponry. It came to nearly a monthly declaration of Jihad, and a few talk radio hosts were checking them out, but our government and press didn’t take them seriously until 9/11

4) A government sponsored group who’s purpose is to agitate Christian against Muslim – although I highly doubt this is the case – it was only 18 churches. But then again, nothing the government might do would surprise me at this point.

I’d be wary of getting a website from them. Selling and hosting WordPress Themes. Looks like those websites didn’t do their required WP upgrades.
There’s nothing wrong with having WordPress, THE BLAZE is one; just one need to keep it secure.

Example, they believe when they die they will recieve 72 virgins, who in there right mind would want 72 nagging women to begin with, it would litterally be hell. Chances are one of the 72 will chop there pec#@r off, doesn’t sound like heaven to me. More than likely it was the DOJ or DHS and I wouldn’t put it passed the CIA to have helped these guys. I’m fine w/ the generic text & belief system of Islam (though it has amazingly glaring flaws … as does Christianity) even if I’m not in line w/ Islam …

They are setting up the muslums to be the national fall guys, and have the ability to turn upon those churches of Christianity who refuse to conform to the teaching of Social Justice.
This is one more assault upon the most fundamental foundation of the Constitution we enjoy only for a short time in the nation; the right to freedom of religious expression.
When one incident happens anywhere, the DOJ will be used to smash down upon any and all who have ‘violated civil rights’ that also oppose the radical agendas of the administration.
This is a part of the ‘fundamental transformation’ Obama promised will happen; the Constitution, and Religious freedom are fundamental to all we stand for.
Consider the major stances of the admin, via Homeland Security and the left — Christians are to be treated as threats, terrorists, radicals, insurrectionists, etc. We have been set up in so many ways, and now we need to take the stand or we will fall one by one.
Chose now people, for around the middle of November, I see matters coming to head and we shall face the choice, the spring of renewal, or the night of eternal winter.

Look at the people that make up this group. Middle class, religious, conservatives. No real party affiliations. No true organizational head. The Tea Party is the group that progressives of both sides hate. If there are going to be fundamental changes it will have to come from such a movement as the Tea Party.

Both of you absoltuly get it on the mark. This is what I do see happening from my point of view; in the fact Mr Obama declared the fundamental transformation of America will happen, and in a way it is, just not into the socialist progressive paradise of a nightmare he wants.
Instead we are on the way into the great reawakening of the nation; the Restoration of all we are and truly hold onto, while God Almighty is moving via the spirit among the people as well.
The transformation is indeed hapening, back to the Republic, back to freedom and liberty, back to God himself. As was stated, if we are killed, jailed or what comes may, we will be the winners in the end with Him and for Him on our side.
Thus one of my favored mottos about the people of America who are truly for the nation:
“Americans, we win, period!!!”
