‘19 Kids and Counting’: Duggar Family Campaigns for Santorum in Iowa

Jim Bob Duggar and Family Campaign for Rick Santorum in IowaTLC’s “19 Kids and Counting” father Jim Bob Duggar has poured his support into presidential candidate Rick Santorum, stumping for the former senator in Iowa one day prior to the much-anticipated caucuses.

MyFoxLA reports:

The Duggar family patriarch traveled with 12 of his children to the Hawkeye State from their home in Arkansas — with the message that voters with “conservative family values have to get behind Rick Santorum for President.”

Jim Bob and his wife Michelle are strong evangelicals, known for their ever-expanding brood, as is chronicled on their reality show that just wrapped up its eighth season.

The Duggar family reportedly supports the fact that Santorum and his wife Karen — parents of seven children themselves — are proponents of homeschooling.

@theTRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE….I don’t know where you are getting your figures, but with our insurance, which we pay all on our own (under $40k a year single salary) for 4 kids, we didn’t pay $2k total for all of the births. The most expensive one was around $700, the cheapest one was a single $35 global co-pay (in other words, it covered the whole pregnancy). Can’t remember the total for the other 2, but I think they were each around $300-400. So what is that total??? Maybe $1500 for my 4? X5??? $6k. Of course that‘s not considering little Josie’s premie birth or taking into account her few sets of twins. I’m sure they paid out of their own pockets….bark up another tree dude.

Ron Paul Endorsed By George Soros “Blue Republican” Organization

      http://theulstermanreport.com/2012/01/03/ron-paul-endorsed-by-progressive-blue-republican-organization/

When somebody is integral to the Progressive Movement in America as Ralph Nader… embraces the Ron Paul Campaign, Conservatives would do WELL to pause.

It seems interesting that an organization that appears quite hopeful to see Obama re-elected in 2012, and is CLEARLY linked to Progressive Anti-American globalist George Soros is simultaneously calling for Democrats to register as Republicans and support Ron Paul in the Republican primaries.. DOES IT NOT???

I love the Duggars.they live the life of faith. They walk the walk. Teach their children correct principles, and don’t do “do as I say, not as I do.” They are the role model for decency, God loving and fearing families. Sometimes I think the critiscism comes from sheer jealousy. They are doing it right, chosen from the beginning of their family to do what God commands. All the critics in the world can’t begin to live their life. They warm my heart and give me hope for the world.

Man, some real nasty attitudes toward a family that is strong in values and in love. I have noticed lots of this behaviour from the supporter of Ron Paul–which now I will call from here on out, “paul bearers.” I thought a few of these people were listeners as well as talkers, but no more. I will do all possible to see Doc Paul lose the cake walk–and mostly because of his supporters. They are quite rude, misinformed, delusional in some cases; and full of spite. If I were Paul, I would be ashamed. Some of you really need to educate yourselves. Wise up, lighten up, and some you…just shut up.

This is typical of what anti-paul hawks have been doing at Breitbart’s sites they pose as Paul bots Post the most fatuous and hateful remarks they can to degrade Liberty supporters. So I am suspect of this being somewhat the case here I’m not going to spend time to look through the comments to draw up the trend here I know of its existence. I’m not going to get my panties in a knot over others either. The comments of few people here have no affect on who you would elect to even local prefects. If I were asked who I thought the Duggars would support I could guess beyond a doubt Santorum or Bachman. Your “reaction” does connote to me at least; that this is a contrived effort to coin a phrase and try to turn over a new paradigm on the basis of a few who may well be you indeed. If anyone wants to ask why some people come off as crazy I will be glad to extrapolate my thesis. Hands clasped and I am yours, Thank you for your time.

Juxtapose Paul‘s policy with Santorum’s any day and you‘ll see there’s no need to resort to this type of foolishness. Besides, who else would you expect a Southern Christian Republican to support? This is Sanotrum’s demographic, family values and family values ONLY. C’mon. Some of you simply need to criticize the guy because he doesn’t support Ron Paul.

    Gracious.

I honestly do not see Bachmann, Romney, Perry, etc. supporters coming in to bash a man they don’t even know–JUST because he happens to have offered his support behind a different candidate than their own!

I don’t believe ALL Ron Paul supporters behave like this, but those of you who do should maybe think about the impression you’re not only leaving upon yourselves, but possibly your candidate, too!

In other words, you aren‘t helping Ron’s image any by simply bashing a guy because he’s not a Ron Paul supporter. This man seems like a nice enough guy and he can support whomever he wants–just like everyone else.

I am shocked at the number of you that see a large family and assume they are living on tax payer money. I know many conservative families that have many children and none of them are on public assistance. I myself will soon have five children, people at the grocery store always assume I am on WIC when they see me buying a cart full of milk and I always reply “My husband and I pay for our children ourselves, thanks.” Which usually earns a glare from the cashier. I might not agree with everything the Duggars believe in, but they are good people. They believe in God and they take care of their families AND help others. They buy used, they live within their means, they could teach a lot of people a better way to live. Get your heads out of your backsides. Their values are closer to ours than the democrats will ever be, we have to stop eating our own.

      Well said!

I have nothing against a big family esp when they pay their own expected way in life. My grandfathers family was 16 and his 6, mine only three and my own three as well. I agree they are good people and their values are decent. I think their pick in Santorum is good as well because like him, we are from the same generation which I consider the generation that really gets it. The Xer’s not so much. I think we are letting the media pick our candidates and we are getting wrapped around silly issues when it comes to several of them. Rick is by far the most conservative and well grounded of them all. He is an American with good old fashioned values I can believe in.

Since you seem to be so worried about the Duggars, let me ask you this:
Who pays for illegal immigrants’ hospital bills?
Who pays the medical bills for all the people on public-assistance?
      Who pays for their education?
      Who pays for their housing?
