2 Alleged Americans Killed at U.S/Mexican Border

TIJUANA, Mexico (The Blaze/AP) — Last week, Janet Napolitano was trying to convince us that some of our “safest communities” are located at America’s Southern border. On Monday, two likely Americans were killed at that border.
Two men who prosecutors tentatively identified as U.S. citizens were shot to death in their vehicle early Monday as they waited at a Tijuana-area border crossing to enter the United States.
Prosecutors in Baja California quoted witnesses as saying a gunman approached the line of vehicles waiting at the San Ysidro border crossing and fired into the men’s pickup truck, hitting the victims in the head, arms and body.
The state Attorney General’s Office initially said the men were U.S. citizens aged 25 and 28.
Attorney General Rommel Moreno later said their nationality was still unclear.
“We are looking at where they came from, their nationality, if they are dual Mexican-American (citizens). We do not have that information yet,” Moreno said.
The U.S. consulate in Tijuana did not immediately return phone calls seeking confirmation of the men’s nationality. There was no immediate information on their hometowns.
Investigators said they found 9-mm shell casings at the scene. That ammunition is used in weapons favored by drug cartel gunmen in Mexico.
The shooting occurred before dawn Monday. The men’s pickup had California plates. Both victims were dead by the time authorities arrived.
Last week, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano was adamant that the border is safe, and blamed political tactics for Americans thinking otherwise:

We send our people to distant lands to fight for other people when the southern border of our own nation needs to be protected and shored up for many legitimate reasons. A Zone of Martial law should be enacted in these border regions on both sides of the border. American and Mexican authorities should arrest and eliminate any cartel member they see fit to kill. Enact this zone for a year or two until all have been eliminated . Lets see how they like to be hunted and killed at will.

Of course there is not adequate man-power at any of our entry points. There is not enough fire-power to deter killings such as this and we need to get control of this situation before it escalates further. Obama needs to get a clue: We aren’t safe from this violence creeping across our borders!

But let’s be fair…drug dealers have been killing each other down there for many many decades. We don’t even know who these guys were. I remember in the late 80‘s or early 90’s, some kids went to Matamoros during spring break and disappeared. I believe their bodies were found and it had looked like some kind of voodoo ritual. Not sure if you were down there at the time or if you remember. My aunt still lives in Brownsville, but I have no other family down there anymore. I have not been to McAllen since 07 when my mom passed away. I have not had the urge or desire to visit.

I’m very familiar with it because my brother went to go to school with the main lady accused. I believe her name was Sara Aldrete.

While I certainly agree that the southern border is a war zone I don’t believe the fact that the Secretary is female has anything to do with it. This particular female is part of the problem. I seem to remember a nice looking chick by the name of Condoleezza Rice who could do any job asked of her. Did you read the Blaze story of the women in Dudette 07? They are an all-female F-15 Strike Eagle group that flew successful bombing/close air support missions in Libya.
There is no doubt in my mind but that the current administration is weak and terribly misguided. The border problem started long before they came to power. The blame is not entirely theirs. We have to get serious about it. It would be great training for National Guard units. (Note the name: NATIONAL GUARD.) It will be nasty work, many people would be killed. It’s about time it was the bad guys that did the dying. A lot of Americans simply don’t have the stomach for it. They will when (not if) a dirty bomb or some other horror is smuggled across the border. It’s time to act not react.

One of my co workers is an attorney who had to leave Venezuela 7 years ago. Since he’s been here, he’s paid for an MBA at U of M, has bought a house and is making mortage payments and send’s his children to private school. He can’t get a friggin green card after all this time. If he loses his job, he has 30 days to go back to Venezuela. Another co-worker is from the Middle East. She came here, got pregnant and is now a US citizen in 6 years time. Does anyone smell a RAT????

The website opened my eyes to our country’s ridiculous immigration policies. I agree this website is very valuable if you want to get good information and get involved. How many of you out there know that Obama tried to get the DREAM Act (amnesty) passed last September and then again during the lame duck session? How many of you out there know what’s really in the DREAM (amnesty) Act? I didn’t until I read the bill. The members of this organization were instrumental in it’s failure and have been for years. Go to this website, educate yourself, find out what’s really going on in Washington concerning immigration issues and then take action!

The closed off area includes part of the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge that stretches along the U.S.-Mexico border.
Where does Janet get her information from? certainly NOT the Government!!
