Olbermann Responds to O’Reilly ‘Suicide’ Comments: ‘Still Here’

On Monday, Bill O’Reilly issued a warning for viewers not to watch MSNBC on Tuesday because its hosts “may commit suicide.” On Wednesday, Keith Olbermann responded with a hand gesture and the following: “Still here — unlike your humanity.”

Now for the hand gesture:

Ole’ Slobbermutt, he’s just a waste of our time. Please stop running stories on these insignificant clowns. If I didn’t see stories on FOX and here then I wouldn’t even know that he was on TV anymore. I would turn off ESPN when he came on there and I don’t want to see him AT ALL. Please, please, PLEASE stop running stories on these idiots. NO ONE CARES what they say, think, or do.

Mintyfresh – your comment implies Fox is biased – an assumption that only the main stream media likes to perpetuate. I am a political junkie and watch all the cable news programs but I find I always go back to Fox – not because I am more conservative in my thinking but they are more balanced. To have news people refer to the Tea Party as Tea Baggers is disgraceful – to have them reference conservative politicans as ‘far-right’ or even extremists is also appalling especially given they do not do the same for far-left liberal politicians. As far as MSNBC, their election coverage was a joke. Snickering and mocking people you don’t agree with does not make good election coverage unless your program is geared for 5th graders. Why anyone would watch them for information is beyond me – I only turn them on once in a while to see how they cover events and they never disappoint me – I don’t expect professionalism and they don’t deliver professionalism.

If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there, does it make a sound? Similarly, if Keith Olberman committed suicide, would anyone notice? He’s as embarrassing in his commentary and tirades as Colbert is funny on the stage. MSNBC seems to excel in picking irrelevant losers.

The coverage of the elections by that network was appalling – snickering and laughing at people you don’t agree with is what elementary school children do – grow up MSNBC and maybe the grown ups will watch again.

O’Reilly’s comment. Keith, that pales compared to some of the things you have said (‘scuse, ranted) on television. Bill O’Reilly does more charitable work than you do, in fact I don’t think I have ever heard your name connected to a charity. We will see how long your show is on the air when you run out of political losers to interview. B _ _ _ hing and moaning is only good for ratings for so long before it becomes boring.
