It seems the new tone called for by the left after the shootings in Tucson is hitting a sour note this week.
First, on Tuesday, Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) compared Republicans to Nazis. And now, on Wednesday, Joan Rivers used the term to characterize Sarah Palin.
Rivers made the comments on Joy Behar’s show while explaining why her recently-scheduled appearance on Fox News was canceled. According to Rivers, that happened because she said “I don’t think Sarah Palin is very smart.” Fox, however, denies she was canceled intentionally, and instead said she was supposed to be rescheduled for a later show.
Still, that didn’t stop Rivers from letting Palin and Fox have it (and also taking a shot at Palin’s daughter, Bristol) while talking with Behar:
As Mediaite points out, Rivers’s anti-Palin rhetoric began this past weekend. She told the website TMZ this weekend that Palin is at fault for the Tucson shootings and then referred to Palin as “stupid and a threat.” Those comments can be viewed by clicking on the picture below:

Although her mouth has been her primary means of making money, you’d think that it would be much smaller with all the exercise she gives it. The bumps and lumps in the photo around the mouth are muscles built up over a lifetime of running her mouth at an Olympian pace. And she has a beautiful head of blond hair that any 77 year old would die for, not one white hair! Can you imagine what she would look like without the surgeries, hair color, wigs-whatever, and cosmetics? Who would listen to her? I’d like to see her and Helen Thomas mud wrestle. My money is on Helen.

It must be some type of “God complex” where every word that drips from their lips becomes gospel truth. Talk about an alternate reality.
I feel sorry for Joan and for Joy. Someday, they will wake up and realize how much of their lives they have wasted maligning others. There’s an old saying that people reap what they sow, and I sure would not want to reap the bitterness, angry and animosity that both Joan and Joy are scattering with such vengence.

While true that the likes of Rivers, Colbert, and Stewart are comedians, they are presenting their political opinions, various agenda and leftist ideology as both news and entertainment. It’s clever, and masks an effective propaganda technique within humor and snark – making it difficult to counter. It’s most effective on the very young – their intended target (can one still say that) audience. Unfortunately for many young people, this is the only news they consume and they have little upon which to base objective and individual analysis.
The same is also said of Fox News – but in the reverse – where more centrist commentators are alleged to present conservatives views masquerading as objective commentary. I disagree that accusations of bias made against Fox News are accurate – their commentators declare up-front that they are not hard news readers and that they are gate-keeping discussions and commentary from many sides of the issues. That’s as fair a statement as it is accurate and Fox’s ratings support that for a majority of viewers, it is true.
The left on the other hand, presents their ideology and advocates for their cause less honestly and when challenged, they retreat behind the “but we are comedians” mantra. It’s sad that the youth of today is not tuned in enough to see them for what they are – Communists, masquerading as Social Democrats, or National Socialists masquerading as State Capitalists. What will they do when China develops her own internal markets in less than 10 years and no one here can afford to pay them a dime and a loaf of bread costs 25 dollars? In 10 years, China, India and Brazil will not need external markets – between them they have billions of customers and ready access to resources in the third world that they have no hesitation about using, or buying – regardless of how tightly they may have to hold their political noses.

Jan. 20, 2011 at 5:34pmThe ranchers are ranchers because its the path they’ve chosen, it’s what they know, what they are good at. the cows are busy producing and the ranchers are busy ranching. WHY would a cow do something they know nothing about ? What would be the incentive for a cow to become a rancher ? Why would a rancher become a cow ?
Now what happens if the rancher is inhumane ? The cows band together and stop producing and bring the ranchers to their knees. The herd is either destroyed or production is restored, either way – the cost of ranching goes up. It would be in the rancher’s interest to keep the cows happy.
