Posted on January 22, 2011 at 12:28amNobody is fooled. Nobody.
Tea Party activists are the same tired Bible thumpers who co-opted the GOP and turned the once respectable (if fundamentally flawed) conservative movement into a 24/7 evangelical revival.
They screech about lower taxes and smaller government but their ultimate goal is to turn the election process into a vehicle for theocracy with a hard-bitten Jesus at the wheel.

Posted on January 21, 2011 at 8:06pmI think it was great. I agree with what they said and how they said it. No political correctness. Straight and honest. These were comments even pc spin doctors can understand. We need more people to say what they honestly feel the way they honestly feel it. They did not make personal attacks. They just told the politicians to do their jobs or they would vote them out. And told the politicians that consider themselves untouchable aristocrats to listen, do what their bodes want (meaning the People) or those gentlemen will work to get the old politicians out of office. Sounds good to me.

I hope that the tea party will really come out in this year, and into 2012…we will have to really make a showing. They think that we are all asleep since NOV. Stop spending, cut entitlements, make this poot heads go out and get a J.O.B. You’d be surprised how quick these people on unemployment would get a JOB if unemployment was cut out. I have people call me all the time, and they say…”You don’t need any help do you?” ” I am on unemployment and I have to call, but I really am not looking for a JOB”….Just keep drawing and drawing. sometimes we have to take a JOB that is paying less than what we think we are worth. I am worth a LOT more than I am paid, or at least I think so, but I am happy that I have a JOB at my age 60 and I work everyday, and I am GOOD at my JOB…I make a bit less than I did 12 years ago…but it is keeping me going, and I am helping my grandkids…or helping to give them things they wouldn’t have otherwise…Trying to build up some so we don’t have to worry about it when we can no longer work. Too also has two uses. First, as a synonym for “also”:
Can I go too?
He went to France too
I think that’s Paul’s book too
Secondly, too means excessively when it precedes an adjective or adverb.
I’m too tired
He’s walking too quickly
I ate too much
PERHAPS YOU MEAN TWO?
Two is a number.
One, two, three…
I have two cars

If thats the case then in your world you are right. Unfortunatly in a republic special intrest (lobbyist) and patronage are a real problem. We will never be able to completly fix that problem. We can make it more difficult for special intrest to influence our fedreral gov if we get rid of the 18th amendment. If our senators were elected by our state legeslaters lobbyist would have a much harder time lobbying 10,000+ individual legeslaters 400+ house members than they would with just 500 and some odd congressmen in DC.

But then, Chris Matthews surprised me another time with his “It’s their money” response, with regard to tax cuts.

BTW – I have never been to a TEA Party meeting, but until some other party proves the will run this country on Constitutional principles, I will stand with the “Bible Thumpers.” Curious. I’ve been in church my entire life and I’ve never seen anyone “thump” a Bible, nor have I seen anyone with a Bible in one hand and a gun in the other.
