Driver’s Dash Cam Catches Incredible Semi Crash

A driver in Canada is lucky to be alive today after he captured video of an incredible accident while driving down the freeway on Friday. Matthew Krizsan installed a dash cam in his vehicle after getting in a previous accident, which came in handy on Friday when he captured a semi careening into (and blasting through) the center median and narrowly missing him and other drivers:

Krizsan credited an odd source for allowing him to avoid the accident. “Everything seemed to slow down and I think all those years playing video games as a kid paid-off,” he said in a phone interview with CTV.

Police say there were no serious injures and the semi driver was cited for careless driving.

I can Tell you this . It works both ways I log about 30,000 miles every three months, From one end of the US to the other . There are all kinds of reasons for crashes. I gotta do training seminars, DOT breathing down my necks.Any company with 500 or more trucks are tracked by satellite. So the is no more comic books. And the weather is no better. it changes constatly. How many miles do you log in a year? If the same rules applied to Four wheeles. i would guestimate that 75% percent of you would be riding a bicycle or the Bus . There are no assurences in life so stop trying to control what is out of your control and worry about you . Thats what makes america great.

Wow that kid must have spider sence or something. That truck went through that barrier like butter!! People I am a trucker and I have too say dont be quick to judge, Suprising as it is it doesnt take much for an 80,000 pound vehicle to do this, and average passenger car is about 2,500 pounds. Its not easy and not everyone can drive a big truck. There are a lot of factors. It takes 2.3 g-force to lose control of a passenger vehicle, .3 g-force for an semi. Accidents happen, and tomarrow more WILL happen. Trucks bring food, toiletries, basic household supplies, furniture, electronics, or anything that supplies from a supermarket to a mom and pop shop. Remember that when or if you think about more restrictions on trucks; and I know you will. Every time reality or when one of these things happen people start talking and saying things from a perspective outside our world and dont know much about it.

I’m not defending nor condeming this particular driver, just think about what i said.

My grandmother could have avoided that. Attributing the fact that the man with the dash cam didn’t get involved was he turned to avoid it just by being observant, not by playing a video game.

The driver of the Schneider truck (the orange truck) needs to bill the company for his cleaning bill.
