‘The Coming is Near’: New Eerie Iran Propaganda Vid Trumpets Imminent Return of 12th Imam

“New evidence has emerged that the Iranian government sees the current unrest in the Middle East as a signal that the Mahdi–or Islamic messiah–is about to appear.”

So begins an ominous report by CBN’s Erick Stakelbeck detailing a propaganda video reportedly “approved at the highest levels of the Iranian government.” That video explains “all the signs are moving into place — and that Iran will soon help usher in the end times.”

Regular Beck viewers may know the Mahdi by another name, the twelfth imam — a term not lost to Stakelbeck, who writes thattThe new video “describes current events in the Middle East as a prelude to the arrival of the mythical twelfth Imam or Mahdi — the messiah figure who Islamic scriptures say will lead the armies of Islam to victory over all non-Muslims in the last days.”

Stakelbeck reports, and includes excerpts from the video called “The Coming is Near:”

Joel C. Rosenberg, interviewed in the CBN piece, has been a guest writer on The Blaze. As part of our series “Understanding Egypt,” he wrote:

The leaders in Tehran could not be more excited by the revolution now underway in Egypt and are praying the Mubarak regime collapses and the Muslim Brotherhood come to power. For them, such events would be dramatic new evidence that the End of Days has come, infidel Arab regimes are on the road to collapse, Western influence in the Mideast is declining, Israel is one step closer to being annihilated, and the Twelfth Imam is one step closer to arriving and establishing the worldwide Islamic kingdom known as the “caliphate.”

I have a problem with blind faith, nothing more. I believe in God, just not the God propagandized in the Bible.

For the record, if it’s not already apparent, I believe God didn’t order those murders, but the people who wrote the Bible found it necessary (for power) to preach hell-fire and brimstone.

  Given your reasoning you must deny the entire Bible then…..Yet you seem content to maintain some form of what it says. My question then is what do you accept and refuse?   i don’t think in his case there will be any virgins, with sharia law,he is only dreaming. been married 25 years,and could not and would not want 7 wives, just saying one is enough,and i will grow old and die with her.

It is sad that I have been reading about believers depending on the rapture to get them out of trouble. I wish the rapture fable was true but, it is not. If people would only read their bibles instead of listening to men who make millions of dollars selling those disgusting “Left behind” books. Jesus spoke about the wise virgins and the foolish virgins that did not take extra oil with them. They were cast into outer darkness where there was weeping and gnashing of teeth. There will be millions of believers that will try to blame their pastors and teachers when it don’t happen the way they were deceived into believing. It is like the Y2K. Those preachers that made money off of silly women and church people who thought that they Y2K, was going to bring global disaster. We told people to not worry, that nothing was going to happen. My husband told people at his job that nothing was going to happen.
It astounds me the lies that church people swallow and that they don’t seek God in spirit and in truth to hear from God for their own personal relationship with Him.
Jesus prayed “Lord, I pray that you don’t take them out of the world but that you would keep them from evil”. Unless a person gets sealed by the holy spirit, they will have no divine protection for what is coming upon the earth. First, the tares will be gathered into bundles to be burned, then, the wheat will be gathered into the barn.

  Shocker, do you have a gun that can shoot down a cruise missile that has a date with your living room ? Can you and your family carry all of that food, water, guns and ammo if you have 10 minutes to head for the wilderness or be shot on sight ? Can you shoot down falling rocks that are the size of a bowling ball coming at you like a rack of clay pidgions ? Can a bisquit make the boils on your body stop hurting ? The Bible says that the whole world will hate Israel. If that doesn’t occur then the Bible is a book of lies. But the Bible is the truth and God will stir up the enemies of Israel just as He said He would. If the Iranians want the front line then let them have it.

This is what I love about this type of comment, although I totally respect your right to have it.
When some great scientific advancement in medicine happens we are so quick to credit mankind for the incredible wisdom and altruism we possess, and it is cool, but if something catastrophic happens we are just as quick to blame God for not intervening. Why didn’t MAN stop the butchering when the signs were there. Its 2011 and there is so much anti-semitism, UH-OH signs again. Will we move to stop it or just wait and blame God for not intervening AGAIN!

THERE IS STILL A CHANCE FOR US CHRISTIANS!!! In order to avoid a massive conflict with the Muslims, the USA, Europe and all of the world’s Christians must let the JEWS and Israel fight there own. self inflicted battles. We must not defend the occupying state o Israel, and we must not defend the Jews. If we do this we will avoid war and in turn prevent hundreds-of-thousand of Christians from dying. Would and has Israel or have Jews ever defended or fought a WAR FOR THE BENEFIT OF CHRISTIANS?? %^$# NO, we shouldn’t either!!

Hmm… It seems to me that having your very own “Mahdi” at your disposal would be an awfully powerful unifying (controlling) force to the world Muslim community if you wanted to build a new global Caliphate and attempt to destroy the Zionists and Infidels, eh?

Israel better polish up and practice their nuclear attack drills. What better way of declaring the presence of the Mahdi than to “rain fire” down on the “Little Satan” and try to draw everyone into the final battle of Armegeddon. This is going to get ugly fast…
