Isn’t it interesting that with all the division, the disagreements, the partisan politics as usual that the 535 members of congress in Obama’s 57 states and Obama have passed legislations to insure their checks would be direct deposited even in the event of a “government shutdown”. The lesson proves they CAN compromise and reach agreement when it affects their own pocketbooks! Now, who’s your Daddy??? This needs to be changed, they are not worthy! Perhaps the Tea Party can take this cause on now that the congress is singing *** baya?

  Yes, AND they keep saying that we need to make changes to Social Security and Medicare, which I agree with, BUT you never hear them talking about changing THEIR ENTITLEMENTS! They say as Obama said, “We all need a haircut”, but I guess when they say “WE”, they don’t mean “THEM”. They get to keep their full retirement and benefits after serving only ONE term. We need to eliminate their entitlement system and put them into the SAME system as the rest of us!

  I really like Mark, and would not normally argue with him. He is, of course, correct that we need to stop spending, that said; while we outnumber and surround them, they control government. I would really have preferred a shutdown, but odumbo went from ZERO to 38.5 billion. a mere 1000 times less that we needed. We have the 2011 budget, and the debt limit upcoming. Any Representative who does not hold the line should be noted and targeted for 2012. It took about 100 years to get here, it will take some time to turn it around. We need to prepare ourselves and find, nominate, support and elect Tea Party candidates. Just look at the courage their small number gave Boehner; imagine what would happen with double, triple that number and a reasonable increase in the Senate. Odumbo is finished, we need to find a Chris Cristy/Herman Cain/Sarah Palin/Scott Walker (our field is much wider that the left suggests) and make the presidential election count. We also need to target Rino’s, like orrin hatch, who tries being all over the news, and replace them with good true conservatives/libertarians. We are 100 years behind, it will take time and much effort to right this ‘ship of state’.

For the record, the republican women’s caucus spoke to the media yesterday (C-SPAN) followed by Barbara Boxer and her liberal devil worhsipper broads….and, if you want to be fairly objective regardless of your party affiliation, guess who made the most sense ? Guess who got it right ? The repubican / conservative gals….kept it simple….”government is out of control”, spending problem not a tax or revenue problem….but, sadly, in the end, just a lot of pomp and circumstance and the left demogogues won again….real sad…… The only way to change this country and get back to conservativism is to win the SENATE……….remember that folks……we have to get more people like whom we now have in the House (freshmen conservative men and women) into the Senate…..hopefully soon…..It’s almost over for the liberals and their 40 year party….we have to continue to do what we did last fall !!!!

Mark Levin hits the nail on the head. Faux news is quik to add globalist mouthpiece Karl Rove, master of disaster, to bloviate about how good this deal is. Boehnor folded again, defeating the purpose of having a Repub majority in office. This is living proof that the Repubs are only hot air and no actions. Boehnor, Cantor will be fired in 2012 for this broken promise to Tea Party. I am not surprised by this as I knew once the Repubs got in office they started dragging their butts on getting busy undoing Obama’s damage.
Get ready folks these Repubs are arm in arm with this administration. Repubs could have impeached OBama for this illegal Libyan war already but this proves that these Elitists are working together to destroy our country. We change people but the agenda never changes.

Did anyone catch the story a few weeks back that the Iranians can now boost a “man capable” satelite into earth orbit?? Couple that ability with a large enough nuke warhead and can anyone say: EMP boys and girls. Imagine ALL the electrical circuts East of the Mississippi FRIED. Experts predict 6 months to a year to restore the electircal grid. Now just imagine the Eastern US without electric power for at least 6 months!!! You said that President Obama declared that he would no longer enforce the Defence of Marrage Act. Well being President Obama never said any such thing, you are either a lier or you are ignorant. I’m guessing a little of both. Just so you can get one fact right I’ll tell you what President Obama really said. He said that the administration would not defend the DMA in court against a constitutional challenge. The law is in fact still being enforced. You may not like the tack thats been taken by the administration, and President Obama, but he has every right under the Constitution to take it.

  Why do we have to pay congress? They can volunteer. Their wives and children can help them out by staffing their offices. No congressman or woman has to suffer at all. Meals, servants, **** boys, retirement, limos, planes, booze, top of the line healthcare, personal shoppers, all paid for by taxpayers or borrowed from our future earnings. Here, is where the truly ENTITLED reside. Add the Pres. and Moochelle with all of their entourage, and cut them back. NO ONE in DC has made ANY sacrifice. We should be ashamed of ourselves for allowing this display of utter contempt to continues.

  It was a ruse from the beginning. Most republicans are just as big a spender as many democrats…..I am disgusted by many on both sides of the isle on this issue. Even a 100 billion dollar cut would have been insignificant compared to the debt that is growing daily. It is a big joke and this country will pay a heavy heavy price for her excesses and unrestrained financial appetite for social justice and vote buying through these programs. No one who is motivated by self preservation and interest will ever do what is needed. Unfortunately, people motivated by these factors are attracted to politics like bugs are drawn to light in the dark. Selfish greed and corruption are the currency of the federal government in Washington D.C. and it dies hard. Too many have a huge bank account of both self interest and corruption to buy and sell America down the path of the self devouring nations of the past that leave generations of the future scratching their heads at the stupidity and indifference of such a nation.

In my state, the socialists state of Hawaii, our newly elected Govener Abacrombie is trying to raise revenues by any means possible, raising taxes, raiding the rainy day fund, the hurricane fund, ect. Anything and everything but but cutting spending. It is pretty hopeless over here with total control by the Democrats, but we must fight back and bring in real change in 2012, for the country at least. They will not compromise. Fine! House passes a reform bill. Senate votes it down. Republicans give up. End of discussion. Scenario #2 – House passes reform bill. Squeaks by the Senate…Obama vetos. Republicans give up. End of discussion. Scenario #3 – House passes reform bill. Dems don’t like it. Dem’s highjack the argument and set the agenda according to their terms. House caves and agrees with the new agenda according to the Dems terms. Bill or legislation is passed. Republicans claim victory. Dems are happy and content. And the beat goes on and on and on. Scnario #4 – Republicans have control of the House, the Senate and the White house. Do nothing to reform anything the previous progressive Administration has done. Make excuses. Apologize. Unable to rally their own support. Instead, they sit on their thumbs and constantly complain or threaten to take tough action but in the end do absolutely NOTHING. Spend most of their time trying to make friends with the Progressives and the media. In the meantime, the country continues to slip into oblivion because of the previous legislation passed by the Progressives….and the beat goes on and on and on. It’s like a close out sale at a clothing store. Regular store prices are jacked up 50 or 60 percent then they have a sale with savings of up to 25 percent. Everything sold then has an additional profit of at least 25 percent. A SCAM !   In Texas we have a super majority of Republicans in the House, are one away from a super majority in the Senate and our governor is a Republican – they just passed our budget and cut $23 billion out of $187.5 billion. Yes, $38.5 billion worth of cuts out of a $3.7 TRILLION budget is a scam.

  One other thing. Last night on “On the Record,” Greta was talking to two “representatives” from the Tea Party Caucus and they were defending Boehner. I couldn’t believe it! You could tell they had already developed an “Us (i.e., Washington bureaucrats) against them (i.e., the American People) attitude. Our government is too big and people are corrupted as soon as they get around all of that intoxicating power, unless they have integrity. Unfortunately, these days, very few Americans have integrity. To add insult to injury, Greta said she was told that lobbyists were informed of the new budget deal before the American People.

  Well I am so happy that Harry Reid’s wife, daughter and granddaughers can get their breast screenings now. They are so poor if Planned Parenthood had been cut off from the government tit the whole damn family would die from breast cancer. Woe is them……… Stupid Harry Reid, how dumb can one person get! Planned Parenthood doesn’t even do breast screenings…sorry Harry you’ll have to get your free stuff somewhere else.

  A prerequisite for getting elected to Congress and the presidency in 2012 better be to cut the budget drastically, and not this piddling small ‘historic’ amount. The new electees have to go to DC with the spirit that the ‘good old boy’ political games are history. I am betting that most of the new Tea Party-backed people in Congress will not vote to approve this latest travesty. They won’t be able to stop it, but at least their honor is intact.

  They cry and moan,complain and threaten all over 38 billion. What will they do With Ryans 6.2 trillion in in the 2012 budget and even that wont make a dent in the budget. It seems all these politicians still have a severe case of head up their (bleep) disease or are intentionally trying to undermine the U.S. for their own corrupt agenda. Because no one is willing to do the hard thing we will all pay a heavy price

  Mark is right. Think about this:
  
  1. No one will buy our debt anymore which led to QE2
  2. QE2 has caused inflation, and it hasn’t even taken full affect
  3. ANOTHER $1.65 trillion in debt(the 2011 deficit) will not be bought(loaned to us)
  4. Are we to expect QE#?
  5. If we let Bernanke do QE3 can you imagine the inflation it will cause?
  
  THEY MUST BE STOPPED!!!!!! They will destroy us if they are not stopped.We’ve got to get the Tea Party reps to vote this down.

  We started budgeting with a $1.6 Trillion Deficit and the “deal” left us with a $1.6 Trillion Deficit.
  
  Congress will never pass big cuts, so make them small and relentless.
  Liberals will only shut government down if they can demonize, so make cuts automatic.
  Budgets inflate Projected Revenue, so limit them to proven Prior-Year Revenue.
  
  New Game: Probationary Budgeting
  Auto-cuts until government has lived within a Balanced Budget and repaid the Debt.
  - Define a Balanced Budget as Spending less than Prior-Year Revenue.
  - Define the Fed’s additions to Money Supply as Spending requiring Congressional approval.
  - Set weekly Auto-Appropriations at 1% less than the prior-week level.
  - Set monthly Auto-Additions to Debt Ceiling at 5% less than the prior-month addition.
  - When the Budget is Balanced, pass a Balanced Budget Amendment to keep it that way.

  I just loved the way it was all planned parenthood that was bothering them. Thats B. All along it was Obamacare. They just didn’t want to bring that one up.   Every politician in DC is corrupt, with the possible exception of the TEA freshmen, and in the pocket of some special interest – lobbying is the problem there. Mark is correct in his conclusions, and this whole process is a sham! We will see what is what when the debt cieling and 2012 budget get voted on…then we will know for sure who is fighting for whom!

  The GOP ONLY controls the House. They do not control the Senate nor the Presidency. Boehner could have asked for $200 billion, or a trillion dollar cut. Guess what, the dems in the Senate would have shot it down.
  
  Is $30 billion worth getting Obama re-elected?
  
  $30 billion more would not cut the deficit. This was a trap laid for the GOP. This budget ends in October. The dems kicked this budget down the road just for this reason…..to force the GOP to handle the budget. Just so Obama could use the shutting of the government by the GOP to ensure he is re-elected.
  
  Is $30 billion more in cuts a fair price to ensure Obama is re-elected.
  
  Some of you live in ideal land. The place where if you think it and post it on a message board, it must be real. “” ‘The GOP CAN PASS any cut they want but somehow they didnt want to.”"They sold us out intentionall.”" Meanwhile, here in the real world of reality, Boehner was lucky to get what he got. Remember, the dems are still in a position of power.

  Keep talking the trash about sellouts and wanting to teach Boehner a lesson will get you just that…..another 4 years of Obama trashing your country and eliminating your freedom.   We the people are the government right???? Does anyone not hold themselves to a specific way of trying to balance your finances??? Most of us TRY NOT to spend more money every day/month/year of what we bring in….it doesn’t make sense that we are allowing the government to do this…..are we living in a fake world where they (government) doesn’t exist???
  I bet if we balanced the budget we would flatline unemployment, the cost of living would go down, gas prices would go down, and we would experience a growth in our economy which, in turn, has the possibility of making your life, at the very least, easier.
