If you’ve been waiting to see incredible time-lapse video of the world we live in, this could be it.
Below is a video from Norwegian photographer Terje Sorgjerd taken on El Teide in the Canary Islands. Gizmodo explains: “this time lapse captures the Milky Way galaxy overhead as sand wafts across the landscape as gold clouds.”
That may not do it complete justice, but it tries. See for yourself — and note that the full screen toggle (which you should use!) is in between the “HD” and the word “Vimeo”:

Without a sound or word, silent in the skies, their message reaches out to all the world. The sun lives in the heavens where God placed it and moves out across the skies as radiant as a bridegroom going to his wedding….” Psalms 19:1-5

Apr. 16, 2011 at 7:50pmAll around us we see your mighty Hand oh Lord! How wonderful is Your creation and perfect Your lovingkindness. You put the stars in place and make them stand and eclipse them with a stretched out hand, You know every stars name. You keep Your children in the palm of Your hand and shelter them under Your wing. How majestic is Your name.
I am a flower quickly fading, here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean, a vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I’m calling
Lord You catch me when I’m falling
You told me who I am
I am YOURS…….I am Yours

What’s with the excessive amount of public praying?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ephesians 5:20 (Paraphrased) Give thanks unto God for all things always.
These images were of God’s handiwork, and we are expressing our thanks and praising Him for His greatness and for the beauty in the world that we often take for granted.
If you can’t handle that, then there is a story about a teen who stabbed himself to death. Go lap that up instead. It seems to be more to your liking.
We don’t care what you watch, appreciate, or don’t appreciate. However, it is a little odd that you find it necessary to question what we do here.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a video to enjoy.
Actually you can if you have Vista Ultimate through it’s “Ultimate Extra’s” feature called ‘Dreamscene’ which allows videos to be used as your actual desktop background, A very cool but resource consuming feature they discontinued for some dumb reason. One of Window’s coolest features I thought ;) I will use it for that !.
Also, I installed Orbit to download the video and then play it back later in fluid format. Both of these are free to download. This is a spectacular site to see! Whoever did this is brilliant. You see something I have never seen before in fluid motion, the world as it spins, showing the galaxy as it passes by our eyes. WOW, what a creation!
Apr. 17, 2011 at 4:59pmIt really is pretty. For those of you that liked this, there is another night timelapse that went public within two days of this one. It was shot in the dead of a South Dakota night, so one might think it was a relatively “lifeless” study. Watch very closely, and you will see this is not the case. Lot’s of things happen at night that we are unaware of. If we live in cities we are falsely presumptuous of that which occurs around us.
