Time-Lapse Video Captures Magnificent Galaxy Photos

If you’ve been waiting to see incredible time-lapse video of the world we live in, this could be it.
Below is a video from Norwegian photographer Terje Sorgjerd taken on El Teide in the Canary Islands. Gizmodo explains: “this time lapse captures the Milky Way galaxy overhead as sand wafts across the landscape as gold clouds.”
That may not do it complete justice, but it tries. See for yourself — and note that the full screen toggle (which you should use!) is in between the “HD” and the word “Vimeo”:
In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isnβt really about controlling guns at all; itβs about controlling us. Posted on April 17, 2011 at 1:16amGod in his majesty. In order to inherit the kingdom of God – you must first understand it. Which means you must undertand IT ALL – life, death, joy, sadness, hope, despair, etc – otherwise, you will not be worthy of creating worlds. We are but an infant and yet we question God’s motive without understanding ourselves, let alone how it all (everything) works and supports the other (from chaos comes structure, from structure comes chaos). I bow to the photographer to remind me just how small and insignificant I’am – and that God deemed man and thus me, worthy enough to live and see his/her Works – and be but one small step in the inifinite steps of generations of man’s birth to reach understanding.

Posted on April 17, 2011 at 1:07amOh yeah baby, I know for sure now that I’m just a random assemblage of atoms. The presentation of this stunning visual may be manmade but the subject matter is most certainly not.

Posted on April 17, 2011 at 12:25amPraise GOD of all creation and his only son in which it is possible that a humble sinner like me can have a real relationship with the ONE who created such majestic things. Absolute power and glory. The Buble states that even the stars sing his praises. No doubt about that.

Posted on April 16, 2011 at 11:35pmReally? I have to ask: what sin is there in the galaxy that needs replacing, and how will the stars look without that sin?

Posted on April 16, 2011 at 11:20pmLol, after seeing this, it is amazing that Al Gore or anyone else could believe that the human animal has the power to affect the climate on a planet, anymore than they have the power to affect the ebb and flow of the tide or the beautiful rising and setting of the sun, or anything in the universe! That power is not in the hands of human beings.

Posted on April 16, 2011 at 9:47pmThe universe is an amazing place. It definitely instills a sense of wonder in me to contemplate the vastness and beauty of space.
But I would argue it makes the concept of god seem trivial.

The one thing that Keith Olbermann can fantasize about when he sees this creature, is that she should have had her brains sucked out.

Posted on April 16, 2011 at 9:33pmIt is a real shame more people cannot see the night sky like it this. I think many would have a different outlook on life if they could. But there is hope. If the Greens get their way it will be a dark planet once again.
