For kids about 8 and under check out some books from the publisher ‘Child’s World’. Their series of books is called ‘Learn about values’ which includes one on Patriotism.

When your kids get a little older check out everything written by Richard J. Maybury. bluestockingpress.com. These aren’t just for kids. I’ve learned more about economics and history through these simple books then I learned in college.

Some titles are: Are You Liberal? Conservative? Or Confused?, Capitalism for Kids, Whatever Happened to Penny Candy?, Ancient Rome: How It Affects You Today, and The Thousand Year War in the Mideast, just to name a few. Each book comes with an accompanying workbook which also has movie suggestions (like the old black and white Judgment at Nuremburg with Spencer Tracey, which by the way follows the court documents almost to a T) and a myriad of other books to read as well as speeches from our Founding Fathers and influential folk that you’ve never heard before.

Williams, and Kathryn Daniels (sold by Bluestocking Press) Let’s just say he was influenced by an old crusty farmer who told him he wasn’t going to vote for him anymore! But you must read why….. J

One other author I highly recommend is Thomas Sowell. tsowell.com I’m sure most of you are familiar with Sowell’s writings on economics…. But he writes on a whole lot more. One of my favorites is Ever Wonder Why? When you read it you feel like you are talking with an old friend.

Stand for something or you will fall for anything.

you know,we don’t have this kind of crap going on where i live in TEXAS,because we country folk don’t put up with it, they have tried, but was thrown out on their commie butts,we are not union taught in the country,so therefore these idiots don’t get hired and if they do, they are rutted out quickly, i just want to know where the parents of these inner city kids are?? why are they not tearing down the walls of the schools,and demanding these commies be thrown out??? i guess maybe they like the commie ways also, but not me,

  We’ve homeschooled for over 16 years. Our children are balanced, well informed on both sides of any issue – and smart enough to research things they don’t know enough about, they have common sense, they are intelligent, trustworthy, patriotic, socially active, polite, respectful of others – no matter what their color, creed, religion, age, politcal viewpoint etc etc. They can debate their viewpoints without resorting to threats or name calling or violence. They have been taught the basics & much much more. They can pass any test – SAT or any other with flying colors. They can also balance a checkbook, read a map, plant a garden, harvest & preserve the food, hunt, shoot firearms & bow/arrow, they have basic first-aid & medical skills etc etc etc etc – the list is long & solid.

And who are the main recruiters going to be? The unionized teachers in our public school systems, that’s who. They have an agenda, they are bold enough to tell people what the agenda is, and as long as they are unionized there doesn’t seem to be allot that we can do about it. The teachers are brainwashed at our Universities by the socialist professors who are tenured, and they in turn do the same to students in the primary education system. They too are tenured and/or members of a union, and we the public are for all intents and purposes are helpless as long as the Democrats are bought and paid for by union campaign donations.

  They can persuade the children, because the teachers are not teaching the children to think. As a former teacher, try to make the kids think or master a concept and you are in trouble for pushing them too hard, expecting too much. The kids are ripe for the taking, all of the children, because public schools do not promote critical thinking in any way.

  Hitler had the Hitler Youth movement and the Cambodian army was made up of pre teens largely because they don’t know how to think for themselves. They become the ‘tools’ of revolution.
  
  Also, Al Qaida, Hamas, Palestinians and other terrorist groups like to use the uninformed children as tools for their advancement so they won’t have to make the ultimate sacrifice instead. Sort of a cowards perspective on warfare.

  I mentioned this yesterday, but I’ve Hypothetically come up with a easy solution to groups like these as well as the socialist democratic election party apparatus. LOCKTITE, one person with a six ounce squeeze bottle of this metal fuzing glue can seriously impact events, conferences, vote campaigns, boiler rooms, party offices and in general make the day to day lives in your city or town for socialist’s and progressives a whole lot more difficult. For if someone were to, hypothetically speaking of course, squeeze a few drops of Locktite into a door lock, or along the frame of a metal door something, well I’ve never done it, but in the metal industry when you Locktite a bolt and later need to remove that bolt, grap a drill and tap so I hear. Hypothetically speaking of course, no one would ever do such a Dastardly thing, at least not us!

  I noticed that he excluded 3rd and 4th year (juniors and seniors) high school students from his list of possible recruits. If he (or they) ever set foot on a school campus, they should be arrested and jailed, with a very high bail at the arraignment.

Our problem is that we haven’t had good men and women of conscience in the school for so long, that we may have lost several generations who cannot remember the failure of communism.

  I have a question and a plan..
  
  Does anyone know if they still do “count day” in public schools .. the day they count all students and that is what the funding for the school is based on? If they do … I propose a “boycott” on that day .. DO NOT send your child to school .. if enough parents did this they would HAVE TO LISTEN TO YOU …I think they might have changed it to two days years ago and they then do an average .. keep them out of both .. with the internet and social networking THIS COULD WORK!

  They are getting to the high school kids through an organization called the Jr. Statesman of America. Last year, a Naperville Jr. High school held a Jr. Statesman conference at the school and the only speaker was one of the leaders of the US communist party. I actually have a copy of the program, and the indoctrination is so outrageous throughout the program it would boggle your mind. This organization is clearly not what it sounds like.   Regain a conservative majority government and then everyone that believes that ONLY the GOVERNMENT/The State can raise children (it takes a village) or want to indoctrinate little children, WILL DO JUST THAT, let the New Conservative Government Take and Raise your children so you can’t poison their minds with Socialism, Communism and Godless thoughts.   I just can’t understand why the commies try to undermine the USA. That is their goal, to overthrow our government and take over. Since there are plenty of other commie countries around, like Cuba, Venesuela, China, parts of the old USSR, why don’t they simply go there? Wouldn’t it be easier and quicker to achieve their commie goals there rather than here?

They just don’t have the same passion for dying as the radical Islamists do. Maybe the Marxists should adopt a new rule for those willing to die for Marxism. They could offer free Che T-Shirts for their family, and all the latest Video Games once they get to hell.

  AVENGER, You are Precisely right! I know I grew up there. This is nothing new to me. I have heard it all my childhood, over and over again pounded in our heads at school.
  
  Kids in US do not learn history of USSR, they should. They should learn about the Gulags, about the purges, about the poverty about the controlling 1% elite party members and 99% below poverty with no chances to succeed whatsoever. Three choices: join the commies, flee the country or die cleaning snow in Siberia.
  
  American kids need to learn about USSR food stores that had no food, and government assigned living, where five families would share a single seven room apartment with a single lavatory. They should learn about re-educations camps, and tortures Russian people endured for trying to make some money on the side just to feed their children.
  
  American kids should learn about USSR national health care where root canal is done without any anesthesia whatsoever. About prohibition of any religion, about “second freshness” fish and meets and about KGB picking up people in the middle of the night and dragging them down to the dungeons.
  
  They should learn that Soviet Russia was trying to build Communism, but never succeeded, it was a nation under Socialist Dictatorship, where kids up to age 14 grew up believing they live in the best place on earth.
  
  But American Kids will never learn that. Because the UNION teachers would not dare to tell them any of that, most likely they do not know either.
