Flash Mob of Bandits Strikes Again — This Time a Las Vegas Convenience Store

We showed you last week how flash mobs of thieves have terrorized stores in D.C. Now it seems the trend is popular outside the nation’s capital. A similar mob of 35 bandits struck a convenience store in Las Vegas over the weekend, making off with about $600 worth of merchandise and even the clerk’s cell phone:

“It became a feeding frenzy,” City Stop owner Jon Athey told KLAS-TV. “They were in the store for three minutes and 30 seconds… It’s a pretty scary thing.”

“This is the biggest one I’ve ever seen,” he added.

Athey said the crooks made multiple trips during the robbery, leaving and returning to line their pockets.

“We were blessed nobody was hurt,” Athey said. “You can’t allow this to happen, because it’s going to break out into violence. Some cashier is going to decide that he’s got to defend the property, and he’ll get hurt.”

Police are still investigating the crime.

A simple solution to these low life creeps would be to have the locks set up so once all the rats are inside the store the clerk can flip a switch that would give him and any other employees ten seconds to get out and would then lock all exits. No way out till the police arrived. I would love to see the looks on their faces once they realized they were stuck and busted bigtime.

Just an idea but, it would be great if stores had a switch to activate a gate or gates blocking all exits and detaining them until police arrive. It would be a lawful citizens arrest.

  This is too well coordinated for a simple hit; they knew what they were doing, and the fact they did make multiple returns for stuff suggests there may have been a vehicle or vehicles nearby as well for their stash of stuff to be gotten away on.

  What the reporter on this story doesn’t know apparently is that these “swarms” were not confined to the DC area before this. I’ve seen others reported throughout the country MANY TIMES.
  
  In addition to these swarms to steal items there have been several others that amount to mob attacks against one or a few individual whites, Asians and Hispanics. The Hispanics, however, are the only ones who create their own mobs in response and fight back.
  
  And, I can bet you whatever you want that, if the matter amounted to federal crimes Holder would refuse to prosecute “his people,” under some flimsy excuse that he believes they have been cheated all their lives by white or Asian store owners…or something similar.
  
  There is no uniformity of law in the federal government right now.

  This appears to be a party that ran out of beer, the young men decided to take the beer they wanted. . . a ‘beer run’ but rather then just a guy grabbing a case and running out the door it was dozens of guys grabbing a case and walking out the door, then back in to get more. . .i dont think a person with a conceiled carry permit would win a case of arresting someone like this because it is not a felony act, and holding a shoplifter at gun point could be considered something like abduction or holding someone against their will at gun point as kidnapping by the law. That could land a good law abiding citizen in prison for a long time. . . u can use your gun to stop a felony act and shoplifting doesnt fit the bill. . .
