The Agenda Project — the same progressive group behind the “Patriotic Millionaires” club and the uber classy “F*ck Tea” movement — are at it again, this time using their activist roots to drum up opposition to House Republicans’ budget proposal.
In a new YouTube video campaign sure to be a hit on the left, the group wonders if America is still beautiful without Medicare as we know it.
“Now, Republicans want to privatize Medicare,” the ad warns, right before a faceless suit dumps a wheelchair-bound grandma off a cliff:
The YouTube video description reads:
With pretty boy Paul Ryan’s draconian and savage cuts to Medicare in his budget proposal, we have to ask ourselves: Is America still beautiful without Medicare?
Apparently to these liberal activists, America was quite ugly during its nearly 200 years of history prior to 1965.
Erica Payne, founder of Agenda Project, sat down with Neil Cavuto to defend the ad:
PS — Why am I not surprised to learn the founder of this group has direct ties to George Soros and Obama administration officials? I tell ya — it’s SUCH a small world!

May. 18, 2011 at 7:07pmHow does it happen that consumer electronics and such only get cheaper, but medical equipment gets more and more expensive? The original sin of Medicare was that it provided no incentives to control costs, which Obamacare at least takes a stab at.

May. 18, 2011 at 5:13pmSeriously that is the best you can do. What happened to the violent rhetoric that we shouldn’t participate in, oh that’s right it only applies to the right and tea party members. Anyone that falls into their camp on the issue based from this video should be put into a metal institution because there are no facts here at all. Nothing to make an argument other than someone dressed in a suit is going to dump you off a cliff. Can we not have a serious debate on issues, really. The way I see it is that the people that made the law are currently the ones that want to benefit from it. I mean if you have to be 18 to vote and the law was passed in 1965 that would the youngest voter at the time about 64 yrs old. Maybe just maybe you should have done your homework and understood how costs are before you put idiots into office that would pass laws like this which would help bankrupt our county.

May. 18, 2011 at 5:12pmApparently there were over 11 million Americans enrolled in Medicare Advantage programs, which came into being in 1997 (under what administration?), and are methodically being eliminated by “Obamacare”…
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medicare_Advantage
That makes Medicare Advantage, the model for the Ryan/GOP plan, the choice of nearly 1 in 4 Medicare recipients…
BTW, Ryan/GOP proposes NO CHANGES for anyone over 55 years old – they keep forgeting that part, just like they continually “forget” to mention that Bush’s failed attempts to offer private investment options for social security were OPTIONAL…
I love it when the mainstream press calls these organizations on their flawed arguments… I mean I WILL love it, when they call them on it… OK, IF they call them on it.

They just “eat up” this kind of stuff & think it true simply bc they want to. Oh well. Yes, I really do think libs have a form of insanity – really….always doing irrational psychological gymnastics in a very arrogant manner -believing it w/o doubt. Encinom, I really wish you could understand what Obama/Soetoro is doing. I really do. America was not founded with Socialism in mind. It was founded on Christian principles and capitalism. The National Communist Democrat Party STATED on their OWN website that capitalism is the fuel that runs the engine of the economy. Yet, the Progressives are doing everything possible and against the Constitution to gain control over the lives of Americans. Progressives are not interested in the well being of Americans. Progressives are interested in the money it can suck out of our pockets, so they can give it to Communist Party Democrat voters, to stay in POWER to get more money. It’s called, “I’ll get healthcare, education, amnesty, etc., if you will vote for ME! Socialism does not work.
It’s all about the MONEY. It’s not about Constitutional limits. Where the hell did the CZARS come from?

I would show a Dem in a pin-striped suit and a cigar in his mouth telling an inner city audience there is no point in trying to succeed or better themselves because the Dems will give them just enough money each month to stay in the slums and remain uneducated.
Finally I would show a Dem telling everyone that “It’s for your own good that we are going to take away incandescent light bulbs, make the prices of food, gas and electricity go through the roof and kill all of your jobs, but you’re just too stupid and uneducated to see that”

May. 18, 2011 at 6:08pmI just wish the Progressives would take their propaganda and SHOVE IT!!!
With all the floods, wildfires, and tornadoes destroying homes, farms, crops, infrastructure, and livelihoods, plus the Progressives have driven US manufacturing off to foreign countries, why would they send wheat to Jordan, aid to Pakistan, billions to Brazil, and so on and on and on? And just when did they START caring about the AMERICAN citizens? What did that epiphony moment occur?
Lord, don’t let the Progressive get pissed off — we don’t want to waste any more money restoring State Capitol Buildings because of them!

As soon as their Soros “under-the-table” “journalist” pay stops, they will have absolutely no visible means of support, no real marketable skills or education, and not yet have reached age 65. They are toast now. Too bad, too sad. Will be sorry to see them go.

May. 18, 2011 at 6:48pmThe RNC needs to push this now: Attacking politcal ads are 80% lies (80/20 rule). Then all republican primary candidates need to agree to not do attack ads on eachother and take the higher road and promote their own qualifications. Then the nominated republican needs to drive this home with all the examples and moving towards winning the presidency, a fine example of how he or she will restore dignity and honesty to the white house.

I didn’t realize I died and left you in charge.
No, actually, I divorced my husband. He remarried and then called me and said, “Thirty minutes and $100, and I am yours. I want you back.” I told him he had had 21 years to demonstrate his devotion to me, but I had had all I could STAND.”
And, actually, I do have something to live for! I’m going to see that Allen West moves into The White House. I have children and grandchildren who deserve better than the Communist agenda that the Usurper-in-Chief is trying to pull off.
As for friends, I have plenty of conservative friends. I have no Progressive friends because Progressives are not friends. They are anti-American, and I honor my ancestors who fought in the Revolution so that you could say those things to me.
Bless your heart, too! I’ll pray for you. God works miracles! IN GOD WE TRUST!

May. 18, 2011 at 10:41pmSo many seniors survive on less than $28,000 per year? Hell, I survive on lass than $12,000 and I’m a disabled Vet. $985 a month, that’s it. And since i receive this pension I forfeit my social security that I paid into for 40+ years. What’s fair really?

May. 19, 2011 at 1:07amYou guys are right, my 93 year old grandmother is really disappointed she won’t be able to shop around for private insurance the way the rest of us under 55 will have the good fortune to do. She, like most elderly folks I know, drives a hard bargain. She never misses the Early Bird special. She’s great on the phone too, and loves repeating herself when we don’t understand her. And when she can’t hear or understand us, she doesn’t care in the slightest, she just chuckles sweetly! She never knowingly lets people take advantage of her either. Just imagine the affordable private health insurance shes missing out on right now! Fine print is her specialty, I think she pretty much knows it all by heart- as she hasn’t read it in years!! I just wish I the GOP could cancel her Medicare right now, she’d be so happy to finally get rid of that dang-blasted Obamacare death committee! Feedom! Feedom! Feedom! Feedom!–Is all she ever says when she forgets to put in her teeth!. Democrats are just so cruel, don’t they realize that private insurance companies and their shareholders want to love and care for 93 year olds with the heart and compassion of a Jesus Christ that will NEVER pull the plug…and at a square price?! Hey, maybe the GOP could start promoting these budget plans as: The profit exploding, job creating, tax cutting, freedom fried, Israeli courage rallying, flag loving, coupon for life panel, Club for Heritage Growth? WWJD indeed….Hell Yeeeaah!!

May. 19, 2011 at 5:39amLets cut bloated Washington bureaucracy by at least 50% plus serious cuts to welfare, corporate welfare, medicaide, low income supplemental income, Congressional salaries and staffs, and other vote buying programs now. With less bureaucrats to spend money we won’t need to cut as much to replace the money that politicians stole from citizens’ programs that citizens paid into for retirement.

May. 19, 2011 at 3:18pmOK Seniors, do not let the Dems use you like the have used the minorities for years! My question: is any one better off with Dems polices? Dems will use you and abuse you and then dump you and tell you how much the care for you. I was raised in a Dem family and they used to be caring and had integrity and then let the liberal/commies/socialist take over the party. “We The People” must unite while we still can…good Dems, good Rep, good Ind. and not the evil parts of all groups!

May. 19, 2011 at 5:37pmwe all should be able to get adequate medical care when we need it. if you think goverment is going to deliver it then you really have a medical condition thet needs immediate attention. surely you all have seen how well the government runs other programs. there are to many screwups to list. if you want everyone to pay then you haave to have a system that treats everyone equally. can you say communism. heh. that system works well. no matter what is done there will always be someone who will get better care and someone who will get no care. it simply is not the governments job to decide who. it is also not their job to force me to pay for you.
