Doh! Camera Catches Reporter Calling Herself ‘Stupid’ After On-Air Mixup

Erica Grow doesn’t normally cover investigations at the local elementary school. In fact, the WTNH-TV (New Haven, CT) personality is a meteorologist, meaning she’s usually tracking storms, not criminals. So it’s curious as to why she was in front of the camera delivering an investigative piece recently, but the fact is she was. And it didn’t go well. Heck, she’ll tell you that:

I was visiting Connecticut recently and caught Channel 8 News and Ms. Grow’s weather forecasts. She seems like a delightful person who has been at the station a little over a month. If this is the worse that ever happens to her in the “business”, she’ll do fine.

I actually like Erica. I caught her doing the late night weather on Saturday I think. In a crowd of self absorbed soap opera wanna-bes, she is refreshing to see. I predict she will advance to the prime time slots ahead of the dorky guy that slobbers all over the phony traffic chic with the ridiculous fake chest. Thank you!

Tonight on Fox, Herman Cain made an admission that he wasn’t up on the “right of return” during and earlier interview. I think it went well for him. He’s honist and is able to deal with the realities of life and being human. That’s + one point for Herman Cain on my tally sheet.

I just can’t seem to find Obama’s name on this list.
I think I’ll name my next dog Obama…just to aggravate the neighbors.

I don’t imagine that she had a clue that she would have to do the piece. I see the regular reporters make mistakes and they have been reporting for awhile. I thought she did pretty good for a first timer. At least she knows it’s harder than it looks.

  Actually what we need is for obama to admit that he was wrong and out of intense shame for being so wrong that he was resigning as president. leaving the country and joining his muslim brothers in whatever country that was that he was born in. If that ever happened we would be celebrating a new 4th of July unless he did this on the real 4th of July. I kind of like celebrating the 4th of July as Freedom Day and also celebrating May 24th, 2011 as our other Freedom Day. Now that would be GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Mediate had it and it’s worth a look. For one thing, Erica Grow is HOT (just as she was when she was on in Philly). Secondly, this is WTNH’s fault for running the outtake and not hers. Reporters often do several takes to get it right. Now, flubbing a live shot is a different matter – but this wasn’t one of those.
  
  It could have been a lot worse. Still, it was pretty funny!
