Glenn has given Jones a lot of time, he’s played many, many videos and recordings of his speaches and ideas and pointed out Jones’ maniuplation of reality and language!

PS: We ARE the United States of America as are your children and you could be too Mr. Jones, if you only cared about the true United States, a Republic and a gift from God through hard work. Then you would feel part of the real world and part of the future where “. . .   I believe Glenn Beck would clean this guys clock, intellectually speaking. I think it would be a GREAT way to end his show. With Glenn’s knowledge of history there is no way he wouldn’t put this socialist/marxist in his place and expose him for what he truely is. I’m quite sure even though Jones is “issuing” the call to “debate” he would never follow through with it. He would turn tail and run the other way, all the while quoting time conflicts, etc. And if you added the knowledge of American history Mr. David Barton has it wouldn’t be a pretty sight at all for the socialists/marxist’/progressives.
  
  In essence I believe Van Jones is running scared. It looks to me like since Obama’s numbers have dropped dramatically and with the rise of the “silent majority” of citizens making themselves heard, things are not looking quite so rosy for their group. His little speech makes a good sound byte but thats about it.   So the man waits to challenge Glenn to a debate until he is nearly off the air. Didn’t Glenn invite him at least a couple of times over the last 1 1/2 yrs? Van Jones has got no wrinklies.   I’d say it is Un-American to call our fellow citizens Un-American. If we try to discount 20, 30 or 40% of the population with a sweeping statement like that it just shows how weak we are as conservatives. Again, people can disagree on policy but all agree they love this Country. Remember people just because someone disagrees with you doesn’t make them evil and you good. That’s an attitude of ignorance. It is even bringing down our own party as we attach the various candidates on their faith or minor policy differences. Its time to grow up. We’re not little children and we don’t always get everything we want. That’s life.

  Van Jones says “We work in neighborhoods you won’t even go into”, but that’s only because he and those in those neighborhoods both hold to the same racist, anti-American values of Black Liberation Theology and Marxism, respectively, and those who might want to go there and help those who consider themselves part of the “Black Community” to see the racism of their ways, will sooner get shot than be offered an opportunity to argue the merits of our respective positions.
  
  The racist and deadly error of the cultural identity of the “Black Community” is that they notoriously fail to understand that the color of someone’s skin DOES NOT make someone believe a particular way or behave a particular way, and so the very cultural axiom which defines the “Black Community” – that there can be such a thing as a white racist economic oppressive machine in America – is simply not logical.

  Does no one ever call them on this police and fire dept. stuff? Of course we want to pay for all of our LOCAL services. These things have nothing to do with the federal govt. Of course local things are part of what his type would like to take over. Please point this out to all you know. Local services are not matters of the federal government. We have to take education back. Meeting in the middle gives no definative answer. “I am going to kill your children.” “No” “So I’ll kill half of them.” “Oh. Okay” We need to stop compromising with these people. He and his group the Color of Change are responsible for getting hundreds of sponsors to cancel their advertising during the Glenn Beck Show by calling Glen racist, and they still work another campaign against Fox News called “Turn off Fox News, Bad News for America.” It serves not purpose to have him on the show.

  GLENN can have him on GBTV…but not one of his last shows on FOX…we need those to get people to follow GLENN TO GBTV… I for one am hoping that on July 1st (if it’s during the week) I can go to my EXTREME link and click on something and be connected with Glenn’s new two hour show.
  
  I wonder if these guys like VAN JONES are aware that they’ve either been infected by the DEVIL or they have been brainwashed. Conservatism is the PROTECTOR of CHILDREN from the time of inception!!! Against lies and ‘slavery’ (welfare) …. FIGURE IT OUT JONES….we’re not going to believe anything you say… YOU lied when you were in the WH, you lied before, you lied when you went to the SOROS funded TIDE (or whatever it is called…the same people who wrote the HORRIBLE health care bill for years before their puppet Obama got into office… just in case some of you wondered how they could come up with 2700 pages of a bill…it’s been in the works for years!

  If all the left was doing is stating their ideas publicly, trying to convince people they were correct, THAT would be “American”. However, that is not what they are doing.
  
  What the socialist democrat people ARE DOING, is, they are SUBVERTING the Constitution! The Constitution is CLEAR, and was meant to be taken literally. It was not meant to be ‘RE-interpreted’ as the activist scotus legislate-from-the-bench judges do. The TENTH AMENDMENT was NOT meant to give the fed govt supreme RULE OVER US. It was meant to “MAKE REGULAR” the trade between states – so that states could trade fairly, to avoid one state using kilograms and another pounds; to avoid one state using a lb w/15oz, & another using a 16oz lb. To require one state to accept contracts from another state. Example: A couple married in one state may not be considered married in another state. This non-reciprocity caused issues when renting hotels and even allowed states to consider men as kidnappers for bringing their bride across state lines.
  
  NOTE: I don’t know these to be facts, but I am still researching them. It is what I was taught in gradeschool.
  I highly doubt they are even teaching constitutional amendments in school these days. Probably would interfere with their indoctrination classes (laraza, evolution, “praise-obama”, “thank God for the UNIONS”, “all corporations are evil”, or “religion is evil except islam” classes.)

Prior to Glen Beck, who really paid much attention to Soros, Cass Sunstein, Ayers, Alinsky….. Most Americans never heard of these people. GB just turned the light switch on. Kind of like when you walk into a dark kitchen, and flip the switch on, and the roaches go running. Now people can actually see the roaches, and see the big bucks behind them.   First off, Van Jones is frustrated as he can see what is going on. You can sense it in his voice. He needs new fuel for the fire. The train has gone a long way and still has forward momentum, but his train will not reach the destination with what he has as of right now.
  
  Glenn should not take Van Jones on his show here’s why:
  1) It would be just like the congressman who had pillow fights wasting a show when you have few left.
  2) It could cause a bad scene as Glenn leaves Fox, something he has promised not to do.
  3) It would give Van Jones the biggest stage with the largest audience to give his message.
  4) Van Jones is smart, and a strong speaker. Glenn is too, but Van Jones is prepared for this one.
  5) The rest of the media would report Van Jones would win the debate.
  
  I want this debate to happen. This debate NEEDS to happen!!! This is what the founding fathers wanted, let the decision be made on the battlefield of ideas.
  
  Have this debate on GBTV. Invite Van Jones and allow him to bring 5 others along. Then Glenn chooses 5 others to join him. This is more important than Van Jones vs Glenn Beck. I don’t care who is actually smarter, it isn’t about either of these two people, but these ideas. The debate would also require more than 1 hour to give it justice.

  You have to understand why Communism is attractive to people if you want to rescue people from it.
  
  So you have to acknowledge that part of the Labor Theory of Value that is legitimate while showing that it is short-sighted – especially in a free market (not to be confused with a Corporatist market).
  
  You have to acknowledge the value of teamwork while showing why teamwork doesn’t work under Socialism (their gut reaction will be to claim that it’s the same thing).
  
  You give Van Jones credit where credit is due because people have what they consider to be legitimate reasons for desiring Communism. They have to know that you aren’t just writing all of them off as evil before they can bring themselves to take you seriously.

  Glenn is the prosecutor presenting the case, we are the jury, and van is the “perp” under investigation.
  A debate with this guy would be entertaining but in the end pointless. We know what he thinks and what his actions are, there is no changing his mind. It seems to me that maybe he wants to get our attention on some spectacle like a debate while other things are happening. I say don’t do it, its kinda like George washington having a debate with the king of england… pointless and we win in the end anyways.

  Friends, thanks for your polite responses. And I have a confession. I didn’t listen to the video before I posted. But reading the posts, I see most of you didn’t either.
  
  But listening to it, my mind changed, and I encourage you to actually watch and listen to it as well. Yes, he challenged the FOX. And he challenged Glenn Beck to a debate, .
  
  Van Jones was speaking up for the poor and disadvantaged. My challenge to you is to listen to the video and find one single solatary statement that was unAmerican. It’s not un-American to stand up for the poor. Standing up for the poor is what Christ taught us. Most of what Van Jones spoke about is to NOT hate. So I challenge to watch the video again – get your pencil out! – and post here for the world a single un-American or un-Christian statement that he said.

Half of My family just moved here in 1904 they other half (American Indian) were almost all killed by Fellow Americans. I don’t hold that against any of you. The people who did that are all dead.

Study Mao, Lennin, Marx… The folks always spoke to the poor. They built empires off the backs of the poor, then they stepped on the poor man’s neck. It is what communist do. Do yourself a quick study, and see (it is available) the difference that republican politicians give to charity compared to democrats. Democrats talk a good story about helping the poor, but they have a track recored that shows different. Taking what belongs to hard working people and giving to those who do not work has never worked, and it never will. Jump over to youtube, and look of the clipe where Economist Milton Friedman taught Donahue about capitalism. I guarantee that if you just type in Friedman and Donahue it will pop up.

  this is the only way he can get attn since B.O was forced to remove him from his Czar job. There is a video on the net of Jones going around talking to our children. Telling them they no longer have to respect their parents and Grandparents because they are smarter than them. Making fun of Grandparents who sometimes ask their help on their computers. Since when are self admitted Communists allowed to talk to our children. If B.O fired Jones, why didn’t he fire Bill Ayres from his college Prof job. He is a self admitted communist and a terrorist. If I were Beck I would show every speech this man has made. Make his record clear. and then just say debate this. Don’t give this communist air time. He has no other way to get attn.

  Anger is the tactic of the Socialist/Marxist/Communist factions. Don’t give into it, because the focus becomes framented, extreme emotions hijack discussion and the enemy triumphs. As with religion, argumentative debate can negate pure dialogue and mutual understanding. Van Jones is a disciple of vintage radical leaders who advocate means of distraction in order to ultimately impede the freedoms of our great nation, essentially negating God. Hate and hostility are two features of these movements, which are projected at their opposition in order to redirect the scrunity of themselves. Thus, we see one of the major tenets of Sal Alinsky, Obama’s idol.
  
  Truth wins out eventually. Stay true, steadfast and focused…..and patient. Know who you are, and stand up for what you believe in. Allow God to be your aide, and all things are possible!

  Yes, I’ve seen the Donahue interview of Friedman. It’s a classic! And he did teach Donahue a lesson, I agree.
  
  Jones did, years ago, declare an allegiance to communism as well as accusing the US government of complicity with the 9-11 attacks. I’m not about to try to defend the guy, but he gave up those absurd, ridiculous, stupid beliefs years ago. And I agree with you that so called “communists” stomped on the poor. They, in fact, made everybody poor. Those were dictatorships. No true communist economy has ever been created because that kind of economy simple doesn’t work given human nature. “Communist” China and Russia are moving towards capitalism day by day in recognition of the reality of what works and what doesn’t, although those countries remain dictatorships.
  
  But to your point, no educated liberal believe in Communism as a viable economic system. That idea has been tried several times and has always failed miserably. Horribly. The idea that liberals are communists is just, well, stupid.

  I’m a city kid. I grew up in New York City, and I an assure you that the situation Mr. Jones describes is real. Schools in the “inner city” are indeed overcrowded and incompetent. They are riddled with deadly, well-armed gangs who peddle drugs and prostitutes right on school property. The police are cautious about responding, as are fire and ambulance services,because anybody wearing a uniform takes his life in his hands going into some neighborhoods. These places ae filthy, barbaric and brutal. Fear hangs in the air like low-lying smog.
  
  I can tall you when all that started. It started with Lyndon Johnson’s “War on Poverty.”
  
  New York was a city of neoighborhoods. Some rich, some middle class, some poor. But they were neighborhods. The “working class,” mostly immigrants, the children of immigrants and minorities, lives in
  tenement communities that had rich neighborhood lives. Manhattan is a small island, and the neighborhoods are close together. You can walk through the whole panoply of human experience on your way to the store. People saw how “the other half” lived. So, the tenements weren’t ghettos–they were launching pads. Life in them was hard, but people got together and got by. Social clubs flourished. Block parties brought people together.
  
  Then came LBJ and the Democrats and “gentrification.” The poobahs decided the tgenements were no good. People “deserved better.” So they razed whole neighborhoods to the ground CONTINUED IN PART ii

  Then they forcibly moved the residents into gigantic, faceless, treeless, airless apartment complexes called “public housing.”
  
  Within a year, the gangs–who could freely roam the halls unfettered by wartchful adults on stoops–hads taken over. Grafitti defaced thre walls–and was immediately lionized by the Liberal glitterati as an “:art form.” Gang kids were having gallery showings, giving interviews–until, like all toys children (of whatever age) get bored with, they were thrown away.
  
  It’s the Liberal Democrats who created the hellholes that are today’s ghettos, seizing control of people’s whole lives and packing them into vote-farms.
  
  Mr. Jones is a young man who never saw all this. All he knows is the indoctrination of the people who are using him.
  
  Glenn Beck isn’t this man’s enemy. He’s one of the people who wants to get people out of these cesspools, not make them more comfortable living in them.

  I agree with what you are saying on communism. Communism is a system of government, where socialism is a economic model or system. Neither work, due to human nature. Jones is a socialist, so is much of the modern day democrat. They want to take something that does not belong to them, and give it to people who did not earn it. I beleive in charity. I believe I am to tithe, give to my church in regards to missions, and as the first chapter of the book of James, I am to feed the widows and fatherless. That is to be done by the individual, not the U.S. Government. Jones and crowd talk a good story, but they are globalist, and they are socialist
