‘Fertility Management’: Al Gore Calls on Women to Have Fewer Children…to Curb Pollution
On Monday, former Vice President Al Gore discussed climate change and pollution control at the Games for Change convention in New York City. Aside from his usual litanies of environmental advice nuggets, the 2000 presidential candidate delved into…family planning.
Curiously, Gore said that couples need to learn to “feel comfortable having small families” so that pollution can be curbed. When asked about what could be done to address population growth, he said:
βOne of the things we could do about it is to change the technologies, to put out less of this pollution, to stabilize the population, and one of the principle ways of doing that is to empower and educate girls and women. You have to have ubiquitous availability of fertility management so women can choose how many children have, the spacing of the children.
You have to lift child survival ratesΒ so that parents feel comfortable having small families and most important β you have to educate girls and empower women.Β And thatβs the most powerful leveraging factor, and when that happens, then the population begins to stabilize and societies begin to make better choices and more balanced choices.β
Gore and his wife have four children and, as Tom Nelson and Chris Horner point out, he’s drinking not-so-environmentally-friendly bottled water on the stage. While the latter is certainly petty, it is a reminder of Gore’s massive electric bills that were discovered years ago in the midst of his green rhetoric. Kids- dogs- cats- the fed government was not ment to regulate any of it. You say you wouldnt mind them saying how many dogs/cats you have- may seem small, but if you let them regulate that, they will want more. Give them an inch and they WILL take 10 miles, and then take more, and make you pay for them doing it. Dont give up anything- no matter how small it just encourages them.

What about all those societies of the past who have tried to control population through future generations. They all collapsed the society. It is a proven fact that you need more kids in the next generation and so forth to succeed as a society. Although our’s right now is a scary one to live in, it is our kids who we place hope in to fix these times.

Overpopulation won’t be a problem for another 50-100 years and if worst comes to worst we can always build Artifical Continents/Islands for people to live on. A child limit per family around 5 is something to consider but only when things are incredibly dire, money wise/food wise and we aren’t at that point yet. No thanks ManBearPig.

According to this report, the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Plant suffered a loss of cooling to one of its idle spent fuel rod pools on june 7th after the palnt was deluged with water caused by historic flooding which caused a fire causing the FAA to issue a No Fly Ban in the area! The IAEA stated it was a level 4 Emergency!
I’m not sure if its true or not, does anyone know or does anyone have any info on this?

It sounds sick, but really if he really felt so much guilt about the environment, he would put an end to his destruction of it. Power is the issue though and the goal. Population control is how control takes place.
The truth is our planet can handle a 100+ billion. We are growing crops in more places than before and crops are growing better. As we all know. Animals breath in oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide. Plants, on the other hand, breath in carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen. Therefore, the more carbon dioxide, the healthier plants. Therefore, we are able to grow more plants in smaller areas than ever before, like we are currently seeing.
History has other examples of population control. China, Russia, French Revolution, Egypt (during Moses’ time), etc. All of these had great success with it, except Egypt. They eliminated their foes and future foes and were left with little more than those willing to fill the part.
