‘Goodnight, America’: Glenn Beck Hosts Final Show on Fox News
The final broadcast of “The Glenn Beck Show” was a little bit of everything: a look back, a glimpse into the future and a frank assessment of the reasons behind Beck’s Fox News Channel departure.
Beck, who ad-libbed much of his last hour as an FNC host, spoke candidly about the decision to launch a web-based TV channel, saying he hoped he had earned viewers’ trust on “The Glenn Beck Show.” “Anyone watching this show knows that I have bent this format so far out of its structure, out of its parameters,” Beck said. “This is a news channel. I do commentary.”
“This show has become a movement,” he said. “It’s not a TV show. And that’s why it doesn’t belong on television. It belongs in your homes, it belongs in your neighborhoods.”
In the very last seconds though, he went back to reflecting on the show ending and, more importantly, the people who made it possible. Beck thanked the crew of his show by showing their names on air in the most fitting way possible; he wrote them on a chalkboard.

Maybe we need a way for those of us who CAN can contribute so that those of us truly interested can receive the broadcast…it is my way of contributing…I’d be willing, and maybe some others would also…$5 a month, I’ll give up some of my Satellite programming for others to receive the WORD…

Posted on June 30, 2011 at 9:41pmAlthough I am an insider subscriber, and will continue to see Beck there, I think he’s making a mistake leaving Fox. Who is going to get the information out that Beck did? Who will get it out to the more casual or independent who watches news channels and cable channels like Fox?

Posted on June 30, 2011 at 9:51pmI don’t think he’s necessarily wrong for leaving FOX, but one thing for sure is
GLENN was a FAMILY SHOW.
Many watched with family…can’t do that on a computer…
Youth will probably be more attracted, so that’s a good thing, but eventually I hope he gets enough
$ to start his OWN TV network.
I haven’t (and won’t be) watching oprah’s network…. but I would pay to add a “GLENN” channel.
I most likely will sign up on GBTV next payday as even if I don’t watch it as much,
it’s the least I can do to give him a sendoff into a new future and to THANK HIM for all he’s done.
I really *NEED* Glenn. I thnk if SkyAngel Cable would carry his new show, I’d give up all cable and just go with them. I can live without ABC, CBS and NBC

Posted on June 30, 2011 at 10:07pmGBTV is supposed to support TV and HD TV via the Roku Video Streaming Player. Around $70. Netflix uses this device. I am not sure if GBTV supports this now, or in the future. If you are interested, you should do the research on the GBTV and Roku websites. I have a laptop and a tablet, but I too want access to this on my TV.

Posted on July 1, 2011 at 12:36pmWill the radio show still be available to all? My brother freaked me when, as a liberal for at least twenty years, started talking about ‘following the money’ back to Soros. He loves the radio show, but Beck on tv was too frenetic for him. If Beck is no longer available for radio listeners, that will be one less outlet for people like my brother to rethink.

I think that this GBTV will revolutionize the entire way we interact with each other and get news, talk about our country etc. I’m going to love it. I finished up the rest of my on-line work this afternoon all the while listening to BECK on his first GBTV…much better than sitting and watching TV… I had my work on half the lap top desk and him on the other half so I could see what was going on! It’s going to save me a hour a day! :) Maybe more!! THANK YOU GLENN, for all you’ve taught all of us and for what we will now learn! (PS you naysayers who never watched…GLENN taught by showing us the people speaking in their own video’d words!!! Telling us about books old and new… things we’d never get anywhere else! IT is GREAT at BECK University!

If that is something you are really ihterested in, contact Fox and make your suggestion to them! They are the only ones with the rights to Glenn’s shows on Fox! Glenn had a terrific show and actually did educate people while most TV is indoctrination! Thanks, Fox, for provided the opportunity to truly learn from a TV program over the Glenn years!

He was a regular in our household, and to be honest, between he and Hannity, I pretty much got all the behind the scenes and national news I needed for the day.
I’ve taped the last 3 weeks of Glenn and will rewatch and rewatch.
I pray the best of SUCCESS for Glenn and will continue to pray for the protection of he, his staff and his family.
The hole he leaves behind is so large, I think there will be a profound sucking sound that sweeps across liberal media circles. (If only they’d fall & be GONE forever…not all, but the ones who intentionally mislead)

It won’t be long before web videos on the Xbox 360 Zune Marketplace and Hulu picks up GBTV, too.
For now, we are using HDMI out from a laptop I normally use in our den to a 60″ Ambilight. GBTV’s videos look great and sound even better and now we’ll have hours of Glenn Beck TV rather than one rushed hour on Fox. Glenn’s radio, et al, have always been twice as good as the TV show, as he has more time and Pat and Stu are hilarious. We laugh as much as we learn.

Posted on June 30, 2011 at 11:38pmThe PC to TV, or TV to PC device is a Slingbox, the Roku is standalone, it doesn’t require a separate computer in the mix, just a direct network connection from your DSL or Cable modem.
MODEM > ROKU > TV
It can be set up to work over WIFI, so you don’t need to run any cables from your DSL/Cable modem, you just connect it to your TV like you would an ordinary DVD player or cable box.
More info here: http://www.roku.com/roku-products
$60 for the Roku box and you will be able to watch GBTV directly on your TV set.
EDIT: Reading further on the GBTV.com site, it looks like the ROKU streaming option isn’t available until 9/12, when Glenn launches his new show, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t be up and running before then.
It would be awesome to have Glenn’s 8/24 rally streaming on the Roku, so it can be watched on a big TV screen.
I Can’t wait!!!!

Posted on July 1, 2011 at 1:34amI just ditched my cable company this week and got a Roku box. I’m loving it. I’m going to watch GBTV on my TV through Roku, along with Netflix, HuluPlus, GoogleTV, AmazonTV, etc. One month’s cable bill paid for my box, and instead of $115 per month cable, I pay $18 (for Netflix and Hulu)! That is it! Plus, I was really happy to lose that cable company. Check it out, and don’t be intimidated about hooking up the box, it was a breeze. I’m no computer whiz, but felt like wonder woman when I did it in five minutes. Best Buy wanted $140 to hook it up.

Most of the TV sets purchased in the last 5 years or so are monitors with all of the ports available for computer connections. We hooked up our netbook last night and the family enjoyed the new Glenn Beck show!

I would also guess that eventually, you will be able to get access to GBTV via your PS3 and Xbox 360 playing on your TV. Totally a guess. AppleTV is more of a closed world, so I would not go out and buy one of those if you are thinking you want to get GBTV.
By the way, the MOST expensive Roku box is only $99. With it, you get access to TONS of channels of programming including NetFlix (Which is how they got started).

That unfortunately is the mentality of many Americans. I’m listening to him now on the radio from EXTREME…after his East Coast time, they put them up so you can listen to Hour 1, Hour 2, Hour 3 or (All together ) Hour 4 with STU and PAT…and then SE CULP after…it’s going to be a full broadcast day… plus you can click on previous “History lessons” that are archived…it’s great! And since I was Extreme member I ‘rolled over’ but even at $ 9 + a month that’s so worth it for what we learn…and we’ll be able to be more inter-active etc. Go to his site and read up about it. Posted on July 2, 2011 at 7:39amGlenn Beck has been a daily guest in our home since his days on CNN… It is sad to see Glenn leave FOX News and his major platform for reaching out to fellow Americans, but it is with eagerness that we anticipate Glenn’s next chapter on GBTV…
Like so many Americans today, Glenn is tired of playing the game… While many of our political pundits, including those on FOX, are paid to pretend that We the People actually have a voice, that we actually have two different parties to represent our best interests, that elections actually matter, more and more of us are realizing that it’s just a game and has been for a long time…
Thanks to the Internet and our sadly-deteriorating quality of lives, we’re waking up to the fact that both parties have been driving us over the cliff. The Democrats a little faster than the Republicans… Neither party represents We the People as most of our political elites are now global elites…
When was the last time our representatives actually listened to and served the majority will of the American people? When was the last time our members of Congress actually legislated policies that would benefit the American people? One just has to take a look around to see how far our voices go…
We’re well aware of the ever-mounting crises facing America today, so the time has arrived for us to start seeking solutions. To heck with trying to convince our ruling elites to do their jobs… It’s time for We the People to stand u
