Fire Forces Evacuation of Israeli Holocaust Memorial

An out of control wildfire has forced the evacuation of Israel’s Holocaust memorial Yad Vashem.

Spokeswoman Estee Yaari says the evacuation proceeded calmly. She says the area is very smoky, but the fire has not reached Yad Vashem and the building has not been damaged. Spokeswoman Luba Samri told AFP that only one person was hospitalized for smoke inhalation.

Yad Vashem houses tens of thousands of documents and artifacts from the Holocaust.

The savage fire broke out on the nearby forested hills on Jerusalem’s southwest flank. Firefighters are on the scene, but officials say the blaze is not yet under control, as fire fighters attempt to douse the flames with diving aircraft.

Yad Vashem is the main museum in Israel commemorating the six million Jews killed by the Nazi regime during World War II, and is a major source of research on Nazi persecution and the Jewish communities lost in the Holocaust.

  it is now under investigation but a few facts are already known:
  1. the fire started simultanously at 4 (!) spots in the valley.
  2. strong western winds helped the fire climb up the mountain.
  3. the holocaust museum and Jewish neighbourhood of Yefe-Nof are on the mountain top.
  4. the residents of the valley are all Arabs.
  hmmmmm…..

  The Germans were very thorough at keeping records of the transports that brought the victims to the death camps. The 6 million probably also includes the many thousands that died in the ghettos all over Europe.
  
  The revised number back to 2 million was done by those who want to revise the TRUE HISTORY of how many were murdered.
  
  Both of you are badly informed and misguided by the lies told by the revisionists. How disgusting and disgraceful all of you are for believing these horrific, deceitful lies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  There were more than Jews killed by madman Hitler. My Polish grandmother showed me the pictures of my relatives lying in coffins in the streets of Poland. I come from a family of Catholics on both sides, Polish and French. My Polish grandmother attended her Catholic Church, everyday of her life.

  I was just pointing out that it is an estimated number not an exact figure. I know there were different estimates based on different Jewish scholars. It depends on which book you read but six million did become the agreed upon figure.
  
  I would also note that twenty years ago the plaque at Auschwitz was changed from four million to 1.2 million killed here. So much for German record keeping in the hands of the communists!
  
  I too am Polish and I hate communists. The communists murdered an estimated 20 million Christians before Hitler even came to power. True Polish patriots know who was in charge of the communist party after the war and who was in charge of the Ministry of Public Security of Poland:

  Unfortunately this is the basis for the creation of Israel and I understand why they stick with the figure at this point. I will say, despite what I know about communism and everything else, I do not hate the Jewish religion but I do despise Jewish (all) communists and these Trotskyites. The Jewish people are diverse and I don’t lump them all in one category!

Intentional(?), probably, and the look on the face of our clueless president gives me more of a probable cause. Normally I would say unappropiate photo, but maybe an intentional reminder of what we are dealing with in our courage vows to Israel. May God continue to Bless the USA and Israel. Thanks to Glenn for his stance for all of us God-fearing people on this planet.

Considering obama’s deep-seated hatred of Israel and Jews in general, this is an insulting and inappropriate photo to accompany this story about this “wildfire” which was intentionally set by the palestinian-terrorist-animals.

Wonder what Obama was thinking while looking at all those horrendous pictures, facts, etc. — never mind, don’t want to know….fire? Don’t think it’s “coincidence”. One of these days God is going to act in a a very obvious way to deal with all of those nations who were involved with the Holocaust & those enemies of hers as we speak. Which reminds me, if you didn’t see my post on the other thread about the Flotilla — I was late — might want to check it out — it’s an “alleged” prophecy given by Wendy Alec in 1999 and was wondering if it’s what is happening now?   Gary, I’ve been to Israel, Eilat and Egypt back in 1986, I would stop all aid to the middle east, Korea . . .
  
  Actually if America would have stayed out of the 1967 war, Israel could have taken all of the middle east, but just like Korea America get’s in the middle of local war’s and the American tax payer has to pay for the many on going problem’s that should have been solved 60+ years ago.
