‘Ohhh’: Jay Carney Draws Press Corps’ Ire During Testy Exchange With Fox Reporter
It seems the nation isn’t the only thing that’s hot.
Press Secretary Jay Carney entered into a testy exchange with new Fox White House reporter Ed Henry on Tuesday afternoon, after Henry pressed Carney on why the president hasn’t submitted his own debt plan, and why he went on primetime TV on Monday to blast some of the proposals out there without submitting one of his own.
Carney clearly wasn’t happy with being challenged, accusing Henry of spewing Republican talking points (a serious charge from a sitting press secretary to a journalist of a major network). But Henry wouldn’t back down, and when he didn’t, Carney got personal, accusing several journalists in the room of skipping out “early” on Friday, and blaming them for not being informed.
As soon as the words darted out of Carney’s mouth, a loud chorus of “OOOOOOs” and “OHHHHHs” could be heard throughout the briefing room, and Henry can be seen cracking a smile. But even after that, the back-and-forth continued. You can watch below:

If a candidate avoids a question in a debate, write him off. The time of weaseling your way into office by not actually commiting to anything must end.
Personally I can’t understand why the tea party hasn’t jumped on the Gary Johnson bandwagon. He’s the first politician I have ever contributed to. He’s the only politician with an 8 year record of cutting state jobs (he was governor of NM… one of the lowest tax states in the union) and vetoing any bill that grew government (which were most of them). He has a far better record than the governor from Texas. And when you ask him a question he actually tells you what he thinks EVEN IF HE KNOWS THAT ISN’T WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR. Honesty. Integrity. Character. Doing the right thing even when it’s not the easy thing.
I’d much rather have an individual like this, even if I don’t agree with his stand on every issue, then someone who won’t actually tell me his stance on the issues (or worse, lies about them). Wouldn’t you?

I enjoy doing the math also. But, there is one flaw in your math. You have determined that it would take 1 second to count each number. Whe you get to the higher numbers it takes a lot longer. Try timming how long to count from 1,543,726 to 1,543,736. It’s longer than 10 seconds and when you get into the Billions it’s even longer.
I do like the fact that you thought enough to give some reality to just how big a Trillion is.

Amazingly vast. But that’s just a trillion, 1 x 10 to the 12th power. 1 x 10 to the 157th power, more than all the electrons in the known universe, is odds that the old testament prophecies about the Messiah would just by chance have all been fulfilled by Jesus Christ.
God loved you to the end of the numbers! In Christ, the Messiah, to the end of time.

There are many “obligations” that we could and should do away with , I am sure billions could be realocated to help pay other things . That would atleast cut spending on things that were no longer bennificial, or in our own best intrest.

HIstorically, press secretaries have a very genial relationship with the press corps, and there is a fair amount of kidding back and forth that goes on. It appears to me that this is exactly what is going on here. Are you just assuming it this is “testy” because it is a Fox reporter?

In short, they make me sick. Would that they’d take their twisted ideology and non-stop lies about the rest of us and go back to the leftist classrooms that produced them. They can keep their toxic prescription drugs with the deadly side effects. I don’t feel safe when I see approved by the FDA. Now BO wants to go after our jelly doughnuts. (do as I say not as I do) They think we don’t see the pictures of them stuffing their faces. They want to be helpful go after the food companies putting in everything some form of High Fructose Corn Syrup. 2012 can’t come soon enough.

I know it’s a paycheck but why would a reporter, worth his/her salt, want to be under the thumb of a progressive/socialist network who puts them in a small box and dictates their thought process. Integrity and honesty must not be worth much in the world of news.
