For a moment Wednesday, Al Franken looked like he was back on the set of Saturday Night Live and not on the floor of the U.S. Senate.
In a speech explaining that there would be no money to pay for military and security personnel if Congress doesn’t pass a bill increasing the debt ceiling by Aug. 2, Franken unveiled a large poster in the chamber that said, “Welcome Terrorists.”
Franken aimed his theater of the absurd at those who believe the U.S. doesn’t have to raise the debt limit to avoid economic catastrophe.
He couched it as black humor, but certainly not as comic relief in a House and Senate deadlock that economists say puts the U.S. at risk of a financial meltdown.
“Now before we default, we could have time to make this sign for all points of entry…”

Totally agree. What were the figures, each illegal alien sucks up $1500 a month PER child PER month? Even if they only get the SSI amount of close to $700 a month, it’s too much. My husband doesn’t even get $1500 a month in military retirement. Cut out ALL benefits for illegals, and they’ll go home. Only give emergency care, not care to those who show up in the ER with a cold, and once you discover they’re illegal, deport their butts back to where they came from. And none of this we’ll take you back in an air conditioned bus….ship them to the border and cut them loose. They managed to get in with no problem, let them figure a way to get back.

Successfully balanced my checking account, my wife’s cecking account, savings account and successful returns on my stock accounts and never cheated on my taxes. I may not have ever run a business but, neither has the president. So far I may be more qualified than most state reps. Erase every BS program and start from scratch. What are they scared of? Meaning, if they make it across our border, and get that foothold, they have won the game, and “deserve” to be taken care of by taxpayer moneys.
This is not just one party playing this game!!!! Both political parties want to be the one that allows these people to be able to vote for them!!!!! This is russian roulette for all of us!!!!

Bring our troops home to defend against threats to our actual country (using Letters of Marque and Reprisal to take care of rogue threats based in other countries),
End Federal taxation of individuals (returning to the Constitutional taxation of the states),
End the Fed (returning to a commodity-money system, like gold, silver, etc.) so government can’t play favorites with the value of our money,
End the Progressive Income Tax because it creates classes where there were none.

Illegal “immigrants” are trespassers, and as such, they do not fall under federal immigration laws. Rather they are invaders, and each state has a right and duty to protect their citizens – as does the Federal government, whether it chooses to do its job or not.

Did you see the new ad by the EPA? They’re claiming that they saved innocent babies from harmful chemicals in their baby food jars. That is beyond ridiculous, because how in the world did babies survive before “the waste of space” EPA was deemed necessary?
If the debt ceiling is not raised, these Federal agencies should be shut down first:
The EPA
The Department of Education
The National Labor Board
NPR
There are many more unnecessary and unneeded Federal agencies that are taxpayer funded.
