‘Resist We Much!’: Sharpton Responds to Limbaugh’s Theories About Teleprompter Gaffe

Well, Rush Limbaugh not only enjoyed playing the clip…he had his own conspiracy theory:

“Well, it’s either a racist teleprompter operator or whomever is preparing the teleprompter is racist or somebody is sabotaging. Look, there are a number of black, accredited, certified journalists who are really ticked off that the Reverend Sharpton is up for this [MSNBC anchor] gig. It’s sort of like real life sports journalists who get ticked off that athletes who have never played the game, the ‘jockocracy,’ end up in the broadcast booth or the analyst’s desk.”

This all seemed to amuse Rev. Sharpton!

Sharpton seemed in good spirits about the gaffe, clarifying that, unlike Limbaugh’s conspiracies, “there’s no racist teleprompter” and “there’s no black journalist trying to sabotage me– I messed up a line!” He took so much responsibility, noting that it happens to anyone who has ever hosted a show, “including you,” that he even gave away another gaffe he made tonight. “There is no ‘Environmental Projection Agency,’” he noted, requesting Limbaugh play that mistake, too. “Play that tomorrow, because I want all of your listeners to start watching me,” he argued. “I don’t want to preach to the choir– I want to preach to your choir, Rush!” He also addressed the “conspiracies” surrounding his hire: “I don’t deal with them because they make people watch.”

Sharpton did not even come close to addressing Rush’s whole segement on that. Rush was actually giving Sharpton cover if he would have been smart enough to realize it.

  Rush was hilarious today. He also mentioned that Sharpton should thank him because Rush is giving him free publicity-that people will watch Sharpton now just to see his gaffes. LOL.   I just don’t know how to do the math on this one. The Rev. Sharpton says that unemployment for “all Americans is 9.1% and unemployment for Black Americans is 15.9%”. I thought that Black Americans were part of all Americans? What is he saying? Black Americans are separate from all Americans? If you know how to do the math on this one please let me know.

  If Sharpton ever does an interview, I want him to invite the black congressman that thinks that Guam will tip over if there are too many people on it. Now that would be an interesting exchange….. one idiot to another. Then, he could interview that black girl that thought Obama was going to pay all of her bills…. from his “stash”.   Guys, PLEASE think about what you’re saying before you blast a liberal. We all want to call them out as much as possible, but it doesn’t accomplish much to call them out over something that is petty or that you haven’t thought through completely.
  
  The math on this is simple. If “all Americans” is 100 people, 20 of which are unemployed, then the unemployment rate for “all Americans” is 20%. Now, if all 60 of the 100 are black, and all 20 who are unemployed are black, Then the unemployment rate for black Americans is 30%.

I was laughing so hard I started to cry. Just watching Stu & Pat trying to dissect Sharpton’s quote is TOTALLY WORTH THE $9.95/month!

Do you realize if everyone on this site alone, not to mention the radio show listeners and his former fox show, paid 1 dollar for GBTV he would make millions but cut that in half or quarter and he has to charge 9.95 to make up.   I think it’s a good deal actually. Cheaper than cable and there’s no crap like with cable…. or God forbid, regular network TV. I never bought the converter boxes and I love what my TV does now. It only plays DVD movies or makes a pretty static. It’s stopped trying to lie to me 24/7. I also get a hell of a lot more done. I’m happy to support Glenn and company, they give me something near impossible to find these days…. the truth. If he’s successful, and I think he will be, he’s paving the way for new networks to pop up from the ether. I’d love to see CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN or even PBS bite the big one and go under in my lifetime. They’re all lying. That’s all they have ever done along with pushing a bunch of socialistic crap. Cable isn’t much better so I’m happy to pay Mercury to keep me informed with actual information, instead of LIES, LIES and wait…. MORE LIES.

Of all of the things that I am going to watch on television, the racist Al Sharpton is difinately not one of them. He ought to be ashamed, a man his age and he still can’t let go of the olden days that the blacks were persecuted and the hell of it was, he wasn’t part of it.
