Is Embarrassing Photo of President Obama Actually Real?

If it’s real, it will make you put your head in your hands — no matter your political persuasion.

An alleged photo of President Obama reportedly taken yesterday has started to make the rounds. No, it’s not another Obama halo pic, but rather it shows the president striking an embarrassing pose. While standing with other leaders during an Open Government Partnership event, Obama can be seen waving to the camera. The only problem? He’s the only one — and he’s covering another man’s face.

Here’s the photo:

The photo has sparked widespread discussion about whether it’s real or Photoshopped. But it seems we can probably drop the “alleged” in front of our description of the photo. Intrepid blogger Zombie tracked down a copy of the photo with the official Getty images watermark on it:

  The “Black” community that you refer to cannot elect a president on it’s own.. It is a minority. YOU on the other hand have shown you are a pompus a$$ that cannot get past the color of skin.   DJHRR- It was just a couple of days ago that a member of the CBC publicly stated that if Clinton were in office, its members would be swarming his office to demand action on jobs for the black community. Because Obama is president, they refrain. What exactly does THAT tell you- that Obama’s NOT getting a pass for his skin color? In point of fact, it’s the left that insists on keeping the color of skin in the forefront with its relentless charges of racism and bigotry. Who are you kidding?

  @DJHRR…the Black Community thinks like that – that’s who. I don’t want to speak for MBA, but I suspect that he/she was referring to the monolithic voting block of blacks in America, 96% of whom voted for 0bama–many for purely racial reasons. Without this high a percentage of the Black vote 0bumbuler would not be president. So…yes, they (“Black Community”) can be very influential in electing a president.

Blacks did not vote Bush in, they did not vote Clinton in, they did not vote Carter, Reagan, Bush, Ford or any of the others into office. The AMERICAN people did. Someone needs to stop the madness. Set the minority apart in your mind and they will never become part of the whole. PLEASE PEOPLE I BEG YOU! Please stop refering to minorities as anything but Americans! and PLEASE stop blaming them.   Too Busy trying to dig my family out of the hole from his policies to see humor in the fool! But also disgusted with the tit for tat between the right and the left. It doesn’t solve anything. I do understand what your saying and I just wish we could be in a time when we had enougn time and effort available to just ridicule the stupid things. I’m working 2X as hard as I was 4 years ago for 1/3 the pay and everything costs 3X what it used to.. When is there time for fun?

When viewed as part of a rich mosaic of three years of gaffes, diplomatic missteps and egocentric speeches, a picture emerges of a president utterly lacking in experience, class and, most importantly, self-awareness.
