‘Artificial Sweetener?’ Pedestrians Try to Explain What Solyndra is…and Fail Miserably

At this point, Blaze readers are probably quite familiar with the ins and outs of the disgraced solar company Solyndra — the firm that declared bankruptcy after receiving nearly half a billion dollars in government loan guarantees. For some average Americans, however, especially those claiming to get their news from sources such as CNN, NBC and Jon Stewart, the name “Solyndra” signifies anything from artificial sweeteners to a drug company.

While the debacle has garnered intense scrutiny from a few news outlets — The Blaze being one — it seems to have been all but swept under the carpet by much of mainstream media.

And THAT is why Sarah Palin should be in no hurry at all to announce… Half of the country is not even paying attention. They will pay attention as soon as she puts her foot in the water… They won’t miss THAT news tidbit.

  The only candidate I like of the current crop is Hermain Cain. If Palin were to run, it would be grand to have Herman Cain on the ticket. And, not make the VP a bull5hit job. Set a new standard and have that guy kicking some a55 with regards to our financial delimma. A blue ribbon panel of one to suggest ideas regarding the agencies to get a big fat haircut!

This is why we’re in the shape we’re in and have the inept leadership we do. There’s really not much excuse for it anymore. Fifty or sixty years ago people were more informed about things than we are today, and the majority have way more access to what’s going on than they did back then. The only time people’s ears ***** up is at the sound of “free stuff”. I used to laugh about the “Zombie Apocalypse” and then I realized the zombies are already all around us; walking among us every day, and the Necromancers that control them live in D.C. and the neighborhood news stations.

  Yes, what dolts… I have a friend visiting…. and i have constipation…(really do!) Neither are good enough excuses to ignore Govt. reality. That’s right, I haven’t ignored Govt. reality. I’m just one of them guys that gets censored everywhere i go… I even taped myself getting MSM articles shut down… Once i enter, so does the real truth. TPTB don’t like that. You sneak things in an hour or two before the bill is voted on using archaic legalese within a subheading that has nothing to do with the bill.   Google Solyndra and see how many hits you get for MSM sources. You’ll be surprised that if you actually take the time to look, you’ll find that the MSM has covered this extensively. Open your eyes and look somewhere besides the Blaze and Glenn Beck for you news.

I think Thomas Jefferson had it figured out a long time ago.

The preparation of the voter so that he might express his opinion by means of the ballot, thus insuring political liberty, was one of the main goals of Jefferson’s plan for education which asserted four basic principles:

1 “that democracy cannot long exist without enlightenment.
2 that it cannot function without wise and honest officials.
3 that talent and virtue, needed in a free society, should be educated regardless of wealth, birth or other accidental condition.
4 that the children of the poor must be thus educated at common expense.” (as cited in Padover, 1952, p. 43)

Jefferson knew that a democracy could only exist with an educated and informed electorate.

Sadly, today we have neither. So, we find ourselves in our present predicament.

Yeah, it reminds me of that article about the insane ranting of Elizabeth Warren — was reading some of the comments on Huffington Post. Very sickening to say the least. Most were praising her and saying they loved her and hope she ran for President – on and on……….all clueless believing & agreeing with everything she said.
Then I come here and see this which isn’t surprising but just more sickening to know there’s so many that are apathetic, uninformed – don’t want to hear the news b/c it’s “depressing” – thinking it’ll just all be fine…. I just pray there will be enough of us that are informed and know the danger and will come out to vote in that all important election of 2012 – and vote Dems out.
