Israeli Father Asher Palmer, Baby Killed in Terrorist Attack After Palestinians Threw Rocks at Their Car, Causing it to Overturn

Israeli police said Sunday that 25-year-old Asher Palmer and his infant son Yonatan were killed in a terrorist attack after Palestinians threw rocks at their car, causing it to overturn on a highway.

It happened Friday near the Israeli settlement Kiryat Arba. Authorities originally said the wreck was due to driver error, not stone throwing, prompting accusations of a police cover up so as not to “fan the flames” of a potential Palestinian protest.

Police re-labeled it a terror attack after further investigation and an autopsy on Asher Palmer’s body revealed injuries consistent with a rock hurling, including fractures to his skull.

Arutz Sheva reported:

Among the evidence that at first failed, for unknown reasons, to convince police that terrorists may have been involved: a hole in the front windshield of the car, a massive rock found in the front seat with human blood on it, a tear in fabric of the steeling wheel cover and dust indicating a blow from the rock, and damage to Asher Palmer’s face suggesting an impact unrelated to the crash.

“It was clearly a terrorist attack, Asher’s gun had been stolen, there were rocks inside the vehicle and it was clear Asher was hit by a rock,” Aharon Peretz, Palmer’s brother-in-law, told Y Net News. “It’s very grave that [a possible cover up] comes at the expense of a grieving family.”

“He never fought with anyone. He was a quiet and special man and this is a great loss,” Peretz said.

Knesset member Michael Ben Ari criticized the police for its handling of the investigation, saying they were “serving Abu Mazen [Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas] over fear of violent protests and did not report this as a terror attack.”

The chairman of the Yesha Council, an umbrella organization that oversees the local settlement governments, also slammed the Israeli Defense Force for not stating from the outset that the deaths were the result of a terror attack.

“There’s no other way to put this, the IDF did not tell the truth to the public, the media or the bereaved family,” Danny Dayan said. “I am angry and deeply disappointed in the IDF, its commanders and spokesmen who covered up the murder. The IDF chose a dishonest, unwise and indecent path.”

The attack is the second such report of an Israeli baby targeted in a stone-hurling attack in the last week. On Thursday, The Blaze reported on a 20-month-old girl left bloodied after police said Arabs threw rocks at the car she was traveling in.

According to Arutz Sheva, at least 18 Israeli drivers have reported being victims of rock attacks in the past month alone.

@KNIGHTOFSYDONIA: Some of us actually know Muslims in our towns and know them to be good, decent, people. Two of those that I know I hold in high regard. Both are from Afghanistan, and are glad to this day to be living in the US where they have the right to live their lives and make their livings and feel free to love and worship God (or, as they would say, Allah). They live their lives with loving hearts… always a smile on their faces and always grateful for what they have.

It is the rabid few who make the rest look like they are infected with the same hate and disregard for human life that they have. This just isn’t so. I believe it is out of fear for their own lives if they were to take a stand against this violence.

The only thing the Palestinians should get is a boot off the planet.. there will always be the reject who will say that Israel started it,, when in reality it is always the Palestinians..God please take Daddy and his little son home with you.. I know you will do whats neccessary to rid the world of wickedness & it will be in your time… I stand with Israel!!

  Booting Palestinians off the planet? Like the Nazis wanted to boot Jews off the planet? Which is godly and which is satanic? Genocide is genocide is genocide. By saying such things you are advocating it. I pray for this man and this child. They were caught in a tragedy not of their own making. Who sheds a tear for dead Palestinians or Muslims killed in Israeli airstrikes and bombardments? Have you seen that side of things? Can you imagine another side of the tragedy? I can. I lived it. I lived it and but for God-fearing Christian parents I would have taken my part in it. I want the violence to stop, I want a real, equitable solution. And I will not stand idly by while people on this post or anywhere else advocate the extermination of entire peoples. You shouldn’t either.

These Palestinian’s are uncivilized….. None of the American’s that are against Israel would want these uncivilized muslims living within stones throw of their family or kids. I wonder how Gweneth Paltrow would feel if this story was about her baby and husband, after all he made a song in support of the Palestinians….

In addition to this sad story, a 20 month old baby girls face was smashed with a rock this past weekend.

God help Israel….

So many people on this post advocate genocide, at least their comments say so. If the Israelis or Americans started rounding up Palestinians and quietly “liquidating” them, I almost believe many here would support mass murder as a final solution to the “Muslim Question”.   Amen………….I keep hearing that “only the few ( radicals) within Islam who are giving Islam a bad name” then I see what is going on in-front of our embassy and saw the slogan, “Islam will dominate.” What am I missing here? With neither? I don’t support Shariah law at all, nor do I support religion being forced upon people. If I lived in a Middle Eastern Country (I was born in the West and live here) I would be protecting my family and attempting to get the hell out of there.

As I said above, I stand by the American Constitution, which is a big reason of why I resonate with Mr. Beck, Judge Napolitano, Ron Paul, etc…
