Breathtaking Time-Lapse Video of the Arizona and Utah Skies
We’ve featured time-lapse videos on the site before, and every time we find a new one we are in awe. This latest find is no exception.
Below you’ll see “Landscapes: Volume Two,” a stunning video from Dustin Farrell and Crew West. Farrell explains his work on his Vimeo page:
Landscapes: Volume 2 is the second of a three part series (probably). Every frame of this video is a raw still from a Canon 5D2 DSLR and processed with Adobe software. In Volume 2 I again show off my beautiful home state of Arizona and I also made several trips to Utah. This video has some iconic landmarks that we have seen before. I felt that showing them again with motion controlled HDR and/or night timelapse would be a new way to see old landmarks.
Here are just some of the shots he captured:
To get the full experience, be sure the video is in HD mode, the sound is on, and view it in full screen mode — you won’t be disappointed:

Posted on October 4, 2011 at 11:45amAs a nation we have become so very ungrateful for all that God has given us.. this film reminded me of how very lucky we are to have the beauty all around us.. do we drive down the same road day after day and see past that which He has given..do we drink in the beauty of the earth.. we are a nation divided right now.. sad but true.. we better get to thanking our God for all that He has given us. And we better choose this day whom we will serve! God or Mammon!

Posted on October 4, 2011 at 2:40pmthis reminds me that we are so lucky to live in the west and away from all the crime and ..things.. there is so much unrest in our country..seemingly centered on the NE , and CA …trying to bring it all around, it won’t work out here. wonder why..

Posted on October 4, 2011 at 2:12pmBrat. Rub our noses in the fact that our own part of Paradise isn’t quite as spectacular as yours. My sister lives in AZ and does the same thing. She takes phone photos of spectacular sunsets and then sends them to my phone. It’s beautiful, but it sure isn’t nearly as beautiful as seeing it in person.
Think of us next sunset …

Posted on October 4, 2011 at 5:12pmBeautiful video! AZ is God’s country. The desert is beautiful in winter, but not all of the State is desert. Did you see the shot of the Ponderosa Pine tree with the red ‘scales’ ?? Did you know AZ has the largest stand of Ponderosa Pines in North America? We live in central AZ at 5,000′ so we visit all the wonders by traveling north in summer or south in winter. Conservative nature lovers are welcome… radical, enviro, wackos stay away; you are the endangered species here….rf

Posted on October 4, 2011 at 9:14amWow. Iknow that there are some beautiful places overseas ( Ive been lucky enought to visit a few), but I love it when the absolute unspoiled beauty of our own country is highlighted. Im from the pacific northwest and the mountasin ranges and rugged coastlines are awe inspiring, I currently reside in Louisiana these past 16 yrs and believe me the wetlands, bayous, and most of all the swamps are some of the most incredible landscapes on earth. Honestly….I dont think theres an ugly place in our country, if its been left alone. I mean there really isnt to many man made things out there that can compete with nature, lol.

For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
