Saturday Night Live Does Hank Williams Jr.’s ‘Hitler’ Comments

Saturday Night Live Does Hank Williams Jr.s Hitler CommentsSaturday Night Live addressed last week’s Hank Williams Jr. “Obama-Hitler” comparison controversy, bringing “Williams” onto “Fox and Friends” for an attempt to clear the air.

The skit featured Ben Stiller as Williams’ media representative Chris Brooks, who asked the faux “Fox and Friends” team what they had expected by inviting Williams on to their show in the first place.

“What did you think he would say? Look at him. He looks like a truck stop Santa Claus,” Brooks said. “You introduced Mr. Williams as a man who knew a thing or two about politics. Telling him he’s a political analyst is akin to giving a baby a gun

Saturday Night Live Does Hank Williams Jr.s Hitler Comments“Don’t give a baby a gun — President Barack-Hitler will just take it away,” said a belligerent Williams, played by Jason Sudeikis.

Brooks insisted Williams calls some of his best friends Hitler, to which Williams cut in: “Most of them are good guys, except for Travis, he’s a real Hitler.”

“Are you ready for an apology?” Williams asked. “Well, you’re not going to get one ’cause I calls ‘em like I sees ‘em and Obama is Hitler!”

I decided to read the comments here, before deciding whether or not to watch the video clip. Thank you fellow commenters. I will not waste my time and watch what I already know will be garbage.

PS Shame on Ben Stiller for participating in it! His father, Jerry Stiller is my all time favorite comedian ever!

      So you’re saying that obama=hitler?
It’s not like thousands of other people haven’t said that before…my real question is, how do so many people defend williams, saying he didn’t say that? As I understand it, that is a pretty common view. He called obama the enemy without an analogy defense to fall back on, what logic is there to defend the other comparison?

Following is Mr. Obama’s “enemies” quote from the Univision interview:

“If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, ‘We’re gonna punish our enemies, and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us’ — if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election — then I think it’s going to be harder. And that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2nd.”

ps. you are dumb and uninformed. you hear what you want, you defend who you want, and you will always be ignorant.

I never said hank actually said obama was hitler (read my post–actually read it…we’ll wait, while you try to figure out those big words). but just above your post, you’ll notice one of your cadre stating that obama called republicans the enemy. he didn’t actually say that, did he?

What i said, was that, with so many people on the right calling obama hitler, and with hank identifying himself with the extreme right and actually calling him the enemy…couldn’t we logically assume that his analogy was not benign. I’m pretty sure we can assume he dislikes obama with equivalent hatred to hitler.

SNL used to be funny. This skit is not funny. What is funny is how far from the truth the writers will go to find something to deamonize the tea party with. The TEA party wants SMALL government, idiots. More proof that the left doesn’t actually listen. Hanks comment was an analogy of two people being polar opposited. I guess we now know where all the people ended up that didn’t understand 6th grade English.

I do agree with Hank Williams Obama and his administration are “the enemy” they have have declared as much in comments made and in policy pressed into law. They are the enemy as sure as Islam is NOT compatible with either Christianity –or the American Constitutional system. Hank Williams credit has INCREASED exponentially by this Faux News ambush and the response by the BIGOTS and dumba— folk at ESPN. for their knee jerk stupidity.
