Are Spanish Muslims Waging an Anti-Dog Jihad by Poisoning Them?

A series of suspicious dog poisonings in northeast Spain have led some local residents to believe that a Jihad is being waged by the Muslim community against beloved family pets.

About a dozen dogs were poisoned in the city of Lerida in the Catalonia region of Spain last month, and the insidious canine killings come in the midst of a broader public spat between the region’s Muslims and dog owners.

All of the dogs fed poison were found in the heavily Muslim neighborhoods of Cappont and La Bordeta. In recent years there have been many others dogs poisoned in these same areas under foul play circumstances.

Many residents point to the Muslim community for these attacks because of continued complaints from them that dogs are unclean. In fact, Lerida’s Muslims believe dogs should be banned from public spaces.

Over the past few months, Muslim residents have also harassed dog owners taking their pets for walks in public. In response to these threatening displays, a group of 50 Catalan residents have arranged six-person rotating patrols to protect dogs and their owners in public.

Muslim residents have even taken their anti-dog agenda to local politicians. In an attempt to essentially ban dogs outside the home this past July, Right Side News wrote that two Islamic groups based in Lerida:

“asked city officials to regulate the presence of dogs in public spaces so they do not offend Muslims. Muslims are demanding that dogs be banned from all forms of public transportation including all city buses as well as from all areas frequented by Muslim immigrants.”

Graphic photos of the dead dogs have surfaced on the internet, showing animals that died right on the streets after being fed the poison.

While there is no universal guidance on dogs in the Koran, a number of Hadiths, which are stories related to the life of the prophet Muhammad, state that dogs should only be kept for work purposes such as herding cattle. The Islamic Republic of Iran, for example, has instituted laws across the country that confiscates canines not trained to assist the blind or perform work duties.

Tensions between the Muslim and non-Muslim community in Catalan have been on the rise well apart from the dog killing issue. This year along Spanish authorities in Catalonia claim they have had to step in to prevent 14 forced marriages and 24 female genital mutilations. This is among an estimated Muslim Catalan population in the city of Lerida around 30,000.

Catalonia holds separatist aims completely apart from the Muslim community, which has led in part to it’s open arms policy towards Muslim immigration. It’s resident have their own language–Catalan– and have embraced non-Spanish immigration in the hopes that the newly arrived citizens will learn the language and adapt.

With a surging Muslim immigrant community that appears anti-dog, pro-sharia, and unwilling to adapt to their new culture, the storied Catalan people could face a new cultural battle that ironically has nothing to do with Spain.

I just “took it to them” – went on the PETA website and sent them the link to this article. NOW, let’s see what they do. I invite as many people as possible to do the same. Don’t let them ignore an issue like this. IF they really want to help animals, rather than just assault the image of corporations, they need to take action IMMEDIATELY. (Go here peta.org)

  That is a great idea! I have sent p.e.t.a. an e-mail (I NEVER in my life thought I would ever do that LOL) and included all relevant info. What can I say? Most of my pets have been rescues….and if I ever caught some punk with a turban poisoning ANY dog…..I would do my best to ensure that person got a trip to the Emergency Room to get their stomach pumped!

Yeah, I cannot understand why ppl don’t “get it” about Muslims?!? We’ve got hundreds of years of history about how they are, we have what’s going on recently in Europe, etc. and still ppl think if they appease them, accept them into their culture & be “nice”, they’ll be grateful and adapt to whatever — NOT !! What I worry about most is US. They’re doing the same here – they don’t report these negative stories & so most of us are kept in the dark unless you research. I wonder if these dog killings are going on as we speak here in Dearborn, MI, Detroit, etc.? And yes, getting PETA really mad would be quite helpful !!!! You see… what they mean by “peaceful” is actually translated as “sneeky, deceptive, covert” (I’m guessing here based on all the peace I read about these people ).They’re peaceful as long as you’re obedient, subserviant, & apologetic. Not so much otherwise. They can keep their Alla- I’ll keep my dog, cat, & guns thanks!

Bull fighting was banned in Catalonia because animal rights acitivists said it was cruel, but I guess poisoning dogs is OK with the animal rights activists. Oh, that’s right. People who supported bull fighting wouldn’t kill you if you disagreed with them. I guess the animal rights folks care more about their own skin than some dog’s.

Do you see the ultimate nerve of these muslms? Who are they to come to a host country and then beging to give orders? They enter a host nation and immediately begin to make demands and usually the demands facilitate the induction of Sharia law. Instead of the host nation like Spain…taking their side and enforcing their ridiculous demands, the response should be “if you do not like our laws and our pets…get the h@ll out.”. When a nation takes in Muslims it is taking in poison to kill itself .

Dogs are considered unclean in the Mus_lim community, and are not allowed to travel in the same mode of transportation as their owners. Has anyone ever noticed that Obama has never traveled with the family dog, Bo? The dog always travels in separate transportation with the FLOTUS.

  Lets not not forget that all over America (and the world), mus-lim cab & bus drivers have been refusing to transport working dogs in their work vehicles; including store owners and restaurant managers either refuse to let working animals into the shop/restaurant premises or basically kick em out….never mind the fact they are in violation of several laws.

  Something is wrong with anyone who doesn’t like animals. It is one thing to not be an animal lover; however, when you poison innocent animals because they “offend” you there are more serious issues going on. Noone is forcing Muslims to own dogs, but they have no right to poison others’ beloved pets!
  
  It would be interesting to know what PETA thinks of this; especially since most left leaning individuals are pro-Muslim and are supposedly pro-animal. Maybe they shouldn’t think too much about this story or their heads would implode!

  This is so HILARIOUS !!!!!! They consider dogs to be unclean. Very very FUNNY !!!!!!! Have you ever met someone from the middle east who grew up in the desert ???? Most of them do not bathe for weeks at a time due to lack of water back home. That bad habit is hard for them to get rid of even after they have moved to a civilized country. I would rather hang around with my neighbor’s Pit Bull. At least the Pit Bull licks it’s rear end clean everyday.. LMAO..
