‘The View’ Seeking to Host Daytime Republican Debate

While they’re no stranger to hosting any number of prominent political figures — from congressmen to the president himself — the ladies of ABC’s “The View” are hoping to add “debate moderators” to their repertoire.

This election cycle a View spokesman confirmed that requests have been sent to Republican campaigns for a debate that would take place during the show’s 11 a.m. EST time slot.

In an effort to reach a broader demographic campaigns are reportedly fielding requests from non-traditional venues to host debates, still, Republican candidates might be reluctant to tussle with left-wing moderators like Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar.

  They are so rude to conservatives..and Behar , the original ..well, I cannot tolerate any show she’s on. Whoopi, bag lady, is amost almost tolerable sometimes. Sherry is so freakin dumb it’s funny the things she comes out with. Barbara acts like the mother of a wayward group of teenage biotches and then Elizabeth…well, what can I say…:(

  This presidential election is the most important in American history. This time it is do or die for free men and women and we better be very serious about it! Why on God’s green earth would anyone even THINK about subjecting themselves by appearing in front of a bunch of uninformed dimwits and expect Americans to take them serious as a contender for President of these United States! Already, those of us who are committed to being informed voters, have endured several of these time wasters they call debates. Now this crazed media is going to encourage a Barnum/Bailey venue and call it a serious forum for choosing a presidential candidate! If the Republican party falls for this then, just like I was done with the Democrats, I will be done with them. WHAT INTO THE HELL has happened to this country??????????? I am writing everyone of these GOP candidates, the ones who have American common sense intelligence, and ask them to please politely refuse. The Presidential Elections have become a JOKE. The world sees this imature and unhealthy lack of control and leadership. How can one possibly respect or follow the individuals thet are slopping arround and seeking our votes. The View is a good show for what there capable of. Interviewing a potential President is not in there forte. Any individual who whould participate in such a comedic and un- professional forum doesn’t deserve to be President.

Why would any sound mined presidential candidate even consider such an act of pure stupidity?
Would it be that that person has a need for that type of ignorant humiliation or is that person just plain stupid?
Besides that, what is really out of place in that photo? I mean which one of those ignorant persons looks out of place? Forget Hasselbeck, I’ve decided she has to be in it for the money, she is the only one with some intelligence[even tho she is on the show.] No, its that person on the far left. Yet all the others have fairly nice legs. There is absolutely no intelligence in that show and any one who watches it, has really absolutely nothing else to do, and they are have a lazy brain.

  Glenn and / or Scott could ask the question.
  So tired of watching the rude and “gotcha” treatment of our candidates.
  GBTV would put on a respectful and intelligent event.

  The obvious answer would be that at least they’d be fair in that they’d be hard on everyone equally.
  
  The obvious backfire would come in the fact that they’re clearly pulling for Obama and every question from beginning to end would be aimed at Dem and Indies, not Republicans. Since only Republicans are supposed to be voting in Republican primaries (in most states), the debate would be meaningless as a primary contest and would only serve to damage the GOP candidate in the general election.
  
  Then again, the majority of Americans would forget that the debate ever happened in the first place. Sorry, America, but the fact is that the majority of the voting public have the collective attention span of an A.D.D.-riddled gnat.
  
  Overall, I don’t like the idea just from the standpoint that it’s an exceedingly unfriendly environment to anyone not named Barry Soetoro.

Any Republican candidate who would participate in a debate on a show that is as anti-Republican as it gets is definitely just too plain stupid, or blind to his own ego, to be President of the United States of America. There could be no winner in that scenario… only one who was made to look like less of a kook than the others by the moderator. (The one who was most left-leaning)
