Meghan McCain: Michele Bachmann Is ‘More Smarter’ Than Sarah Palin

Meghan McCain: Michele Bachmann More Smarter Than Sarah Palin | Bachmann is the Thinking Mans Sarah Palin Newly-minted MSNBC contributor Meghan McCain declared Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann “the thinking man’s Sarah Palin” after conducting her first official interview for the network with the Minnesota congresswoman.

“I famously said a statement earlier where I said that Michele Bachmann was the poor man’s Sarah Palin, and after meeting this woman I am completely wrong,” McCain said Thursday on “Now With Alex Wagner.” “This is the thinking man’s Sarah Palin.”

“I didn’t know what to expect and I’m a person who has been around politicians my entire life,” she added about meeting Bachmann. “I connected with this woman and I thought, this is what she should be doing, she’s talking about being a mother and on foreign policy things….I loved her.”

Asked later to further compare Bachmann to her father’s 2008 running mate, McCain had a grammatical hiccup when she said she found Bachmann “more smarter.”

“I think she’s — this is going to get me in trouble — but I actually I think she’s just more smarter. I think that she’s more — on foreign policy I mean I just think all the things she’s done in the debates, I’ve been very impressed,” McCain said. “I just thinks she’s older and more established and you know she’s been a member of Congress for a very long time.”

At 55, Bachmann is eight years older than Palin. She’s been a member of the House of Representatives for five years, first elected in 2006 — the same year Palin was elected governor of Alaska.

Back in January, McCain slammed Bachmann’s Tea Party rebuttal to President Barack Obama’s State of the Union, calling her “one rogue woman.”

“I think it’s important to note that Michele Bachmann is not a leader, and she’s not the leader of the Republican Party,” McCain said. “Michele Bachmann is no better than a poor man’s Sarah Palin.”

One last tidbit from their interview: Bachmann revealed that in high school, no one ever asked her to prom.

“I wasn’t invited to senior prom either,” McCain said. “So I was kind of like, girls kick ass later on in life!”

  Why did Bachmann agree to be interviewed by McCain? She is just proof that coming from parents of wealth and political influence doesn’t make you smart. That’s why liberals would watch her– just to marvel at the stupidity coming out of the right. They don’t care about her opinion.   I am not a fan of either John or Meghan McCain. I think they are both Liberal Progressive RINOs which I have not one bit of commonality with.
  
  That said…the insults and hateful comments about Meghan are beyond reproach and totally uncalled for. Shame on those who have participate in such demeaning and disgusting rhetoric. Save it for people like Obama, Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi etc., who have deliberately tried to destroy this country, its values, its culture, and its economy.
  
  I felt Meghan’s comments about Michelle Bachmann were gracious, insightful, and genuine and she painted a much better picture of Michelle than the media has ever portrayed. As for the “more smarter” comment… I am quite articulate in my speech and I sometime relapse into different dialects and speech nuances that don‘t quite fit the parameters of the Queen’s English. This does not make me stupid, dumb, or illiterate. It just allows me to express myself differently when my streams of thought begin to flow spontaneously.
  
  As I’ve said, I am not a fan of Meghan’s, but, I give her high marks on her comments, character, and style on this particular clip.

  Meaghan McCain is a beautiful young woman who doesn’t think about what she says sometimes. She seems to be conflicted between her father as a prominent republican and the decorum and attention she must observe because of it, conservatism itself, and her place within a youth culture that is taught to venerate liberalism and socialism. I have a feeling as she observes the failure of socialism in Europe and the U.S. she’ll temper her more liberal standings..getting a little older will add to that. She’s not stupid she just needs to shake off the scales of liberalism that today’s education system placed over her eyes. Like any child she’s reached the age where she wants to individuate herself, rather than just be “McCain Junior”.

Ms. McCain is part of the reason many Repubs couldn’t stand the McCain family—there are times you think this “girl” is brain dead and I guess she is now proving that we were right! Most Repubs voted for McCain while holding their noses—I did because I knew about Obama’s background and knew he was not to be trusted—he proved me so right and has proven to be a radical racist who hates white people and black people—he only embrasses the Soros people for their money!   Whether you voted for a vice president or a president – you still voted for McCain at the end of the day. Palin wasn’t running for president on the ticket – McCain was. So you voted for McCain.   Ming Dear: No, we don’t vote for vice president. But after all the primaries select who runs for President, you have no other choice. Especially, if you have absolutely no interest in voting for a democrat who claims he wants to: “Fundamentally change America,” some thought he meant it as a good thing. Many of us were alarmed with his statement and we’ve been proven right. Look what’s changed. We’re in a hole financially, many out of work, heading in the totally wrong direction.

I like Bachmann – and I think she is intelligent. She may even have a higher IQ than Palin?
What I want in a president is what Reagan had – A vision of what America is and can be. Has no fear and hires the smartest/experienced/proven performers for his cabinet and agenda. Also a great communicator
I think in this context I would have to give Palin a leg up!! A president Bachmann would be a true conservative and shake up the DC good old boy club – but Palin would had stomped on it!!
