    I always liked Chuck as a game show host and like him even more now. When he was a game show host it was because he treated people respectfully and was entertaining. Now because he is one of the few voices that are making sense. Yes, we are capable of discerning intelligence from the clueless.

    Chuck looks real good doing fireside chats…… I’m thinking we found a great looking, intelligent guy who we should all nominate for POTUS (whether he wants to be, or not…) I mean seriously, is there a law that says we can’t MAKE him run??? Regan was an Actor, Chuck is a gameshow host, two worlds that are not too far apart… So in my mind, that makes him 10x more qualified to be POTUS that Fuhrer Obama… And plus, since Mr. Woolery seems to know how to live modestly, wouldn’t he be a great steward of our country???

    I googled the guy, and did remember him from ‘Wheel of Fortune’ – what’s interesting is the salary contract ‘dispute’ he had with Merv Griffin. He was making $65k/yr – asked for an amt ‘similar’ to what his collegues were making, $500/k yr – Griffin offered him $400/k yr, then another network offered him the $100/k difference… Griffin threatened to sell the show (move it) to CBS, and withdrew his $400/k offer. Griffin didn’t renew his contract and let him ‘go’ at the end of 1981 – replacing him with weatherman Pat Sajak. Sounds like he just wanted to be paid what he thought he was worth (not unlike OWS ‘laborers’) – and they (1%-ers) axed him. Capitalism. We could care LESS the ratings are THRU THE ROOF with you hosting – we ain’t gonna GIVE you a ‘cut,’ nor renew your contract. Story sez he’s a born-again (Evangelical?) Christian, and politically conservative. How the HECK did he ‘FAIL’ at that contract negotiation????? ;-) — ‘got greedy’ demanding almost 1,000% increase in ‘wages.’
