Why Was a Young Female Iranian Dissident Murdered Execution-Style in TX?

A young Iranian molecular scientist living in Texas was shot dead in her car on Sunday night at close range in what appeared to be an “execution-style” hit, though the motive remains unclear.

Sometime around midnight, according to the Daily Mail, Gelareh Bagherzadeh, a 30-year-old genetics student, was struck by a bullet that ripped through the passenger door window as she talked on the phone with her ex-boyfriend. According to police, an unknown assailant sneaked up to the passenger’s side of the 30-year-old’s car and shot her at point blank range in the head.

Bagherzadeh’s car motor was still running when she was shot, and it subsequently smashed into a garage door just steps from her parents’ home in an upscale community southwest of Houston, Texas. A neighbor heard the sound of the shattering glass and the running vehicle and called the police.

More details of the murder investigation are below, courtesy of KRIV-TV:

Texas Police are investigating whether Bagherzadeh was followed by her killer. They are unsure at this point if it was a random murder, a botched robbery, or a targeted killing.

Bagherzadeh was politically active, as she lobbied on behalf of Iranian women’s civil rights and was a vocal proponent of regime change in Iran.  She was a founding member of Sabz Houston, a local Iranian organization and took part in numerous anti-Iranian government demonstrations over the years.

Why Was a Young Female Iranian Dissident Murdered Execution Style in Texas?

During a series of protests against the Ahmadinejad government in 2010, Bagherzadeh appeared in an online video filmed by the Houston Chronicle. She refrained, however, from using her last name at that time for fear of persecution by the Iranian government.

A Houston police department spokesperson said authorities had not determined whether her protest background played a role in the murder. They are pursuing all leads, though the young Iranian activist was not known to have any enemies, and there did not appear to be a clear robbery motive.

The killing of a dissident Iranian scientist on U.S. soil has sparked some early speculation that there could be a political motive behind the murder. While the investigation is preliminary, the plot in October of last year that allegedly involved Iranian intelligence working with Mexican drug cartels to assassinate a Saudi Ambassador has made the outlandish seem possible when it comes to the Mullahs in Tehran.

Below is a Houston Chronicle piece on the Iranian protest movement that includes an interview with Gelareh Bagherzadeh, and includes the observation that Iranian expats are able to share information with those in their home country to foment dissent:

Why would CIA kill her unless they thought she was working for Iran which since she was vocal against Iran on how they treat women, I doubt she would work for Iran.

It wold make more sense for an Iranian here on a Visa or an Iranian sympathizer or hired hit man to have killed her. Iran gets a vocal uppity woman out of the way as well as kills a scientist just like they think Americans (probably did) killed there scientist.

This is why we need to GET OUT of the Middle East and drill baby drill here in the USA. Let them all go back to killing each other. Ron Paul is right.

Duh! Iranian hit squads are operating with impunity within our borders. And O’Bozo is probably consciously turning a blind eye to it, given his pro-muslim leanings. He’s certainly instructed his propaganda minions in the lamestream media to bury the story.

Two matters I can think of off hand:

As you stated an Iranian hit squad.
Obama ordered her termination under his assassination executive order.

Oh that’s a good one Snowy. It is now very possible that Obama ordered this execution. And of course, he has no liability to admit it to us either. Reporters should ask him the question at every press conference, just to make the point. At least until this offending legislation, and all like it, are removed from the books.

Could also be that Obama ordered this killing in order to make it look like tit for tat for the magnet bomb incident we apparently did, which was tit for tat for our spies being rounded up, which was tit for tat for our spies being there in the first place, which was tit for tat for our embargo, and so on. And this will eventually be used as an excuse to go to war with Iran just months before the general election. “Don’t change horses in mid-stream”, etc. Politicians are pretty shallow, and they do do this kind of thing with great regularity.

To ALL the Useful Idiots on both sides of the Isle. The Bible tells us that this is a Theological problem not a Political problem. Obama is following the Qaran too the T and it is confusing the hell out of all who are looking at it from a Political perspective. Keep being surprised when Obama does something that appears to be out in left field. Obama is laughing at the ignorance of the American people and it is that ignorance that will destroy us. Also keep voting for a Candidate that serves your own personal preference instead of one that will do the tough things that America needs to do to get us back on track.

People don’t realize just how many members of the Iranian secret police have flooded across the border fromTX to CA.

When Israel pulls the trigger on Iran’s nuclear facilities, there will be a great many outbreaks of terror in this country by those same agents.

But, Obammie’s cool with that. He’ll go to the memorials and give a nice speech after he gives a “shout out” to his radical buddies. After all, it was Obammie who said “We can take a hit.”

Has it ever ocurred to you that it might have been a crazy radical person totally unrelated to this young woman that is responsible? No, you automatically assume that it is an honor killing. The growing hate here against all Muslims is frightening. Until we know the facts we shouldn’t jump to conclutions. I understand why we are quick to pass judgement that it might very well have been an honor killing since we have seen so many cases that were but it is wrong to point the finger without the facts. Who ever is responsible deserves to be punished. This lovely woman did not have to die. It is upsetting that we have reached this point in our society. Lately, I have been ashamed of alot of the comments that have been posted. I don’t want to be someone that jokes about anyones death. I don’t want to be the kind of person that finds humor in a tragedy. Sorry if I am being harsh and appearing to single you out, I’m not. I am concerned that some of us are becoming the very kind of people that we originally stood up against. It is one thing to speak our minds, share ideas and opinions, be prepared for a serious crisis, and pay attention to our surroundings, but I pray to God that we never allow ourselves to become heartless or violent without justification. Violence is the last resort and something we need to pray nerver happens. God help us.

Again, I doubt it was blowback strike, this seems much more like “sending a message” specifically towards other dissidents just like the journalists who spoke out against Putin in Russia. If it was a blowback attack they would have targeted a high profile target of the US Government or Military.

“The killing of a dissident Iranian scientist on U.S. soil has sparked some early speculation that there could be a political motive behind the murder. While the investigation is preliminary, the plot in October of last year that allegedly involved Iranian intelligence working with Mexican drug cartels to assassinate a Saudi Ambassador has made the outlandish seem possible when it comes to the Mullahs in Tehran.”

How about the assassination of an Iranian scientist, in Iran, by Israel? What’s the diff? They are both equally heinous acts. If you condemn Iran, then you must certainly condemn Israel… and Israel does far more to Palestinians in its occupied territory than Iran does to any of its people.

You know, if the Palestinian’s could figure out that launching rockets at another country’s cities is a highly dubious bargaining posture then maybe they would actually accomplish something in the negotiation process. Then again, if they had two brain cells to rub together between the collective population they would also realize that it was their Arab “allies” who threw them into concentration camps along the border and treat them like pig manure.

But I doubt that most people understand this. Get yourself a copy of Sun Tzu’s “Art Of War” and come to understand the importance of the “silent step that defeats nations before a blade is ever drawn.” Assassination has been an integral part of warfare since biblical times. What should be of concern is why would they target this woman? For all intents and purposes, the only real threat she posed that would make her a target of assassination is her status as a dissident. And more to the point, if it was an assassination was the assassin smuggled in using routes in Mexico or worse if one of the cartels is getting friendly with Iran.

The implications of this incident could be very bad.

Have you forgotten the pamphlet found on the US side if the desert written in Farsi, extolling the virtues of suicide bombers?

How about the MS 13 members captured on the US side with tatoos captioned in Farsi?

How about the IED’s exploding on the Mexican side, a trademark of the Iranian secret police?

How about the fact that the MSM tells about 10% of what is happening on the southern border? Did you know that the DHS has refused to shoot down the 100 or so ultralight aircraft that fly multiple runs every night hauling drugs and automatic weapons across the border? Man, the average guy doesn’t have a clue and won’t have until the hammer drops in the Persian Gulf. Then the chaos really begins over here.
